Lately I have read and heard that mylot is just another scam.Me" okay why". well I was gone five months and had nine dollars. they stole it as when I came back it was gone. I am listening nonplussed as it states when you sign up that if you are gone you must at least sign in every three months to keep your account open otherwise your earnings will be deleted.Doesn't anyone ever read the print when You sign up for something? If you do not read that ever you could often get yourself in hot water,A word to all new mylotters who think they need not read any of the mylot information, you are wrong not to do so as the information will help you in all ways here on mylot. MYLOT IS NOT A SCAM YOU NEED TO READ
'ALL THE INFORMATION.

Hi Mrs. Hatley,
But why, we do not earn for reading. lol.. Really many are in a hurry to earn that they do not want to take a moment to read. What these types of members do not realized that taking a few moments to actually read means they actually will earn more in the end.
Am I ever glad I listened to you in the very beginning when I was ready to go. You told me to take it one day at a time, (with personal things that was), but really what I did was not participate and read, did a lot of reading to where I was so comfortable that myLot for me is a breeze now. Still having fun and allowing the earnings to flow when they do.

You were smart to listen to a seasoned member. It makes a difference. It also makes a difference in how much participation you get, if you do not listen. We are glad you stayed HWG

I have been 'helping' these new (and not so new) users for suh a long time and I keep seeing the same questions over and over again like you do and I am finding it tiring too now
I don't mind helping those who help themselves but the others... *sigh*
Of course those of us who are happy here already know that it is a s.c.a.m. don't we and we are proud to be part of it aren't we?

hi diana and hardworkinggurl oh lord its hot here 90 fahrenheit. I loved that scam discussion and agreed whole heartedly with all too. such fun also something I learned from Diana was to relax enjoy yourself and forget about how much you earn, and you will be' surprized that you
earned more. it really did work too.I was so hung up on counting my
oists I was not enjoying myself. When I relaxed and made many friends I had fun and really enjoyed being here and I did make much more earnings too

That may be the answer, many people assume that they are all the same, and do not read. It sure hurts though when you reach one little point where there is a difference.

yes me too dawn and gardcen gerty i found out from my son that most sites like mylot have a timedlimit for keep;ing your earnings so when we had that 11 months when life dumped us out in the street he would go to the library and sign in for me so I would not lose my earnings and it was a real hoot when I got my computer back and had of all things twenty five dollars as it was still in the tail end of the month so in the middle of the next month I had 25 dollars to the good.
lol.I have done my share of assuming. my son borrowed some money from me once and I just assumed he would drop the pament in my bank account,. so there I went and ordered my weeks groceries on line and found to my dismay that my bank account had 40 dollars in it and I had just ordered fifty dollars of groceries. so I had to phone the Albertsons headquareters qand ask them to qu ick delete that ordery and to my credit they never put in for the money until after the order of food is in your kitchen so they deleted it . I had to then take the b us, buy the few groceries I could carry and come home.Myson apologized for not having put the money in my account and did so at once.

not even read the rules then cry wolf Mylot is a sc am. had they bothered to read the whole information they would know you will lose your earnings if you do not at least sign in to keep your axxount open
you will lose your earnings. that only seems fair to me.

I also think that most of the people do not try to spend time reading the rules. I think if we read the rules we will be able to do better in myLot and also will not loss the earnings. I think some people tries to believe the false statements and never bother to feel the entertainment they get through posting discussions.

There are other sites like this too, not just myLot. If you don't sign in for a certain amount of time they reset your earnings back to 0. I think NeoBux or whatever it's called erases your earnings if you don't sign in for a month...that happened to me. I totally forgot about the site anyway. It's a bit frustrating but that's why you need to pay attention.

I know I must have lost some earnings on a su rvey site but they madeit almost impossible to see your earnings inthe first plac e.mylot is a lot more straight forward.

Mylot is not a scam. I have read and heard a lot about mylot being just another scam. I am glad that you realize it is not. I am sorry that you lost your money. When you sign up at a lot of sites they are scams and can rip you off, but for as long as I have known Mylot is not like that and never has been.

You know Hatley, I didn't know this rule about signing in only because even without a computer, I couldn't stay away...lol I went 15 months without a computer, and yet every chance I got, I was here, most of the time signing into my profile at the library..I don't think I could go long without mylot, I mean even when I have heavy schoolwork to finish, I am still here...

Oh, aren't libraries the best??? I am fortunate I got a computer though, because when I was at the library all that time, it was monitored electronically, which was good as long as no one needed a computer. A few months after I got my computer and was there for a school assignment, I found out that once you sign in and then sign out, it won't let you back in again...They must have changed it due to kids signing in all day long...

Hi Hatley, I always read what is defined as the small print due to being stung by an insurance company years ago but from time to time I still get a discussion deleted even though I abide within the rules, some blatantly defy them and therefore some should be deleted but no way is myLot a scam, as well as making some wonderful friends whom I have be lucky to meet a fair few of I have also been paid regularly by myLot since I started here. Amazing site, amazing people who are always there to support and give advice in a time of need. Many do not read and learn the hard way, some stay some go, their choice eh! I thank people like yourself who have guided along the way and supported many a time too and can understand your frustration sometimes when we see these posts. Huggles Ellie :D

my gosh ellie you were here when I signed up. WE did not read
the fine print once when signing a deed to a house and
ended up wih a lump sum payment but we were able to refinance
the house and saved our bacon.that house we sold and it
was so foolish as the market had not yet come up and we'
only had two more house payments and the house was paid for.
I have only met one mylot friend but that was wonderful. I
really do love all of you mylot friends too.

No, they don't read the information. Everyone gets an email requesting them to read the guidelines. I've seen statements made by some members that they "don't have time to read all of that stuff." Really? What are they consolidating their time for? All my life I have heard: "What you get out of something depends upon what you put into it." These time savers see no benefit to investing their time into their myLot membership. A lot of them go the way of the dodo.

celticeagle that first part of my title was not my conversation.quote marks I thought would show that. it w as a new person who is bigtching that they were not ev en here for nine months and sadik mylot stole their earning. thus she said mylot is a scam. I was trying to tell her if she had read the agreement she signed it said if you do not sign in every 90 days you will forfeit your earnings You do not have to post even just signh in thats all. I only was gone 30 days and I kept signed in.,no I was not the one complaining as I know the statement I signed three years ago when I signed in.sorry if my title confused you as I was hoping people would see the quotes and know I was showing another person's fuss.Yes I am back, happy, healthy and full of vim and vigor I was paid each and every month for three years and so no mylot is no scam at all ever.So I never lost my earnings. this person I was quoting stayed away for nine months and felt mylot had stolen her earnings. She said mylot was a scam which is silly.

hi celtic Eagle there was a time when I was gone from mid Sept of 2008 on for 11 months, that was a horrid time for us,my son was laid off his job and I had just retired, we got behind on the rent and oh my g we were homeless, we stayed with friends but God Love them all they cou ld not keep us indefinitely so we spent a week in Hospitality house salvation army them my son decided I cou ld not take that kind of life being shuffled among homeless shelters so I was put here where my social security and ss I checks pay the rent and board monthly. my son got gov help to stay where he still is as he has only a part time job even now. what was to be only a few months for me had now been over two years.anyway I am happy to be
mylotting as it pays more than half my internet bill. I got my computer and monitor back but it took several months to get hold of time Warner cable and get connected to the net then I could again mylot. I missed all mylot friends and the apt in Antioch the ladyh was going to help us with turned into a disaster as she reneged after already sending a signed sheet saying she would be our backer for three months. so thats when we were really on the street,.that was a horrid time so being here while not what I want ed is a heck of a lot better than floating on the street in my elderly condition with a bad leg and diabetes too. they are kind to me here and some of them do t ell me they love me which is nice. lol.

hi bunnybon I was away 11 months as we had one thing after another happen to us and had to put all our stuff in storage and now split up so we both could have a place to live;I would never have come to this place on my own.the owners have little real concern for us just see us as a thousand dollars on the hoof.I was half sick at not having my computer but first we had to get off the street then my son got out our computers and monitors and that was so wonderful.I wondered at why nine months sure must not have cared that much about mylot.Being evicted was one of the most humiliating things I lived through and when our aot manager heard my son lost his job he wasted no time in filing eviction papers.

Just one more that doesn't even know the sites have rules. Many come here simply to earn in a rush and make quick money only, and forget that they must remain active to keep their earnings, or even worse "think" the rules don't apply to them. So bad.
Then come crying when MyLot does what it warned he will do, and post that everywhere crying scaaam. People like that is not serious at all, I may even think they're cheaters.

be cheaters. I think some have two accounts with two different user names and if they are caught mylot will not be happy with them.

We do jump to that word scam really often. When I first joined it did not matter how long you were gone, the money was still there. Kind of unfair to make MyLot be a bank. This is why when a friend said yesterday that she would be gone all summer I reminded her to sign in at least every thirty days.

Hi Hatley, I did read the same discussion as well if I am not mistaken. Some responders told her to read the mylot guideline to get more information about the earning made here. Yeah, one has to activate his mylot account within every three months or ninety days. If not the balance in his account will be forfeited consequently, and this is known by users who have read the regulations. Therefore one should read the guidelines, especially the FAQs to get more information on earning money here. If every one goes through all the important info after he has signed up as a member here he then won't simply say mylot is a scam blindly
Have a niceday and happy posting

Yeah hatley, I agree that mylot admin is very lenient compared to other social working sites. Only people who never like to learn more info reading mylot guidlines as well as FAQs would have such thinking that this site is scam. I had come across a site that the balance in a member account will be forfeit if never login for only 7 days. There is less restrict for us working at mylot site, thats why I pretty love spending my leisure at mylot. Take care and have a niceday

You were trapped.
I don't think everyone will read all of the terms of service or rules of the site until something happens, then we shall start screaming, searching here and there to understand more about our mistake.
Generally, most of the online sites need the members to active during a certain period.
For me, I shall keep active until I withdraw all of my money before I set to vacation mode.

oh my G a better way. I was trying to tell about a new mylotter and in quotes the sentence referred to the new my lotter who lost her earnings because she did not read the fine print twhen she signed up here. In the fine print it says any user who does not at least just sign in will lose whatever earning they amassed. Also this information is in the mylot admins information they all want us to read. How else could I have worded read my discussion? In my discussion I again refer to the new my lotter who yet had not bothered to read what she was signing or any of the mylot information that also would have told her that she must sign in every 90 days or else lose what earnings she had.I repeat I was not talking about myself. I have been here for many years and knew about the 90 day policy and no this was not my money that was lost. I hope this clears it all up for you. the term get it means do you understand now.And read my discussion means go back and reread it as you got the wrong idea and I wanted you to understand that I was not talking about myself at all.
