For the job I had the second interview with this morning. I really feel that this was for the Best, and that for now I am better off where I am. The job would have been really stressful, and I think there would have been way too many demands to where it might not have worked long for me anyways. So now I will continue with the job I have been at, and hope for something else to come thru. I have been sending in my Resume to many places all over, so I am sure in time something will come up. I guess I just need to learn to be patient and continue to Trust God more until something better comes along. ~~TINA~~

Now I know why I invented my own work at home job. no not really. I had 5 children and wanted to stay home til all of them were in school. After that I wanted to get out amongst the workforce. I did a lot of temping. (working at temporary work agencies) I landed some pretty good jobs as I dressed right, worked right, and made sure I was always on time and polite. I landed a temp position with a major company. When I went in and found out what they wanted me to do, none of their employees wanted this position. Within 2 weeks I had not only figured this position out but loved the job. However I did not need medical as I was married and my husband provided that for us and I felt that someone else needed the hiring positions. This position was very time consuming and taught me a lot. the job I did was so important that when the home office would call they would ask to speak to me over my manager in the dept. After I had been in this job for about 8 months the dept manager come and asked me to hire on. I said no thank you. A couple more months come by and here she come again. I said I cant hire on because I was planning a trip to Canada. They promised me they would work around my trip etc. So finally they hooked and baited me. There was a lady that had worked there in a different position and she quit the company. I went in with other new employees and sat in on what looked like my first day ever there. Went through all the paperwork, rules, etc, and at noon here come my manager asking if they were done with me yet processing in. I got finished about an hour later and made it to my managers desk. Told her I was completely hired in and that is when they took me to the Dept Manager and told me I had been given a different position and that another Temp(remember the lady above that quit?) would be taking MY position that I learned and trained on by myself for this company. I did not hire on for the position they gave me and they had even told me that if I did not hire on they were going to have to hire someone for that position and the job would end for me. From Temp to hire after all my dedication to the company I got 25cents for hiring on. A year later on my review, they told me my work was quality but that I had laxed in the first position I had and needed to do that too. they gave me a 3% raise which was nothing basically. I went out waited for my wage to increase. it took them over 3 months to instill the adjusted amount and pay the back pay on the increase. the minute I got my check, I came in the next morning before the others, cleared my desk, put my company card in an emvelope to my area manager, and walked out. you have no idea how it felt like a noose had been lifted off me. Probably the best company I ever worked for was HSN (Home Shopping Network) I loved the job. But that was when I got ill and became disabled or I would probably still be working there. you probably have a sense of knowing what is best for you. I know I always did and did right not only for myself but making sure I worked for companies I could really like working for. good luck finding a new job I know its tough now in this economy

Well, there are a lot of interesting things that can happen when working for different companies, and can be quite challenging for sure. I would Love to work for myself only with my Business, but for now it is not making me enough so I have no choice but to also work for someone else until it does. Just need to remember that not every job is for everyone, and sometimes when one door closes God is opening another.

Thanks my friend. It has been interesting looking for work while having a job, and I forgot how scary interviews can be. I have had 2 job interviews which led to nothing and one job that I got a rejection letter just from sending in a resume. I know in time something better will come along.

There are people who have been looking for work for over two years, Tina. At least it seems as if the job market is opening up again but I think it will be slow going for a while. We are just not out of the recession yet, I don't care what the 'indicators' are showing. If the price of gasoline doesn't come down to manageable levels, I think growth is going to be further impeded. I do wish you the best with finding other work, however. It's good that you're not destitute and out of work completely. Keep the feelers out and hopefully your dream job will show itself.

Yes, it is a Good thing that I am working somewhere else, so I have something to rely on until something closer to home appears. It just makes me glad I do have a job as it is a rough competing world out there, and I know in time something better will come along. As for the high gas prices, that is becoming a factor for sure.

Sorry to hear that the job did not come through. I am a believer that sometimes things happen for a reason and at times when one door closes another opens. Best of luck and since you have sent a great deal of applications and resumes you may soon get lots of interviews soon.

That is for sure. Since this I have actually gotten a rejection letter from somewhere else I applied, and an Email from somewhere to call them about an interview, etc. so that could be good. I just know that when the right job comes along it will be the one I am supposed to have. At least in the meantime I still have one to go too.

Yeah, I agree, finding something valuable requires a lot of patience. Although it is not always the prestige or the money involved in a job but the most important thing is you are happy with what you are doing. Just imagine yourself inside a small office and you are hating your job every hour of the day you are there. That is hell, for sure. And I truly agree God will always be there to guide you just pray and ask for his divine intervention.

It does take a lot of time and effort and patience when looking for a New job. Finding what will work best for me is the hardest part for sure. I do know that it is a Good thing I am working now, so that does make it a little easier. Even on the bad days it is a job, and I know God is in control until something better comes along.

I guess it is a good experience even if you didn't get the job. But you are right, trusting God will get you through until what you need comes along. In the meantime so many of us will be praying for you. It's got to be frustrating.

Oh no, not a good idea to go from one stressful job to another. That's defeating the whole purpose of finding another job. Like you've said before, God is in control. I believe that as much you do! When the right job comes about, you'll know and it's really meant to be, God will see it through. So hang in there sweetie!!

Some things are not really meant for anyone. Even though how hard we try to get one thing we have our eyes set on, sometimes, it does not happen that way. Perhaps, God has another plan for us. All we have to do is to just accept and follow what God desires for us.

Well I have always believed that God would not give us more than we can handle and perhaps you would not have been able to hand this stressful job given the fact that you do have health issues. Good for you that you can recognize the value of not getting the job there are many people that would have taken the news badly. Good luck.

Hello Tina ! I will tell you what someone else told me a while back when i was searching for a place to work too, other then Ubisoft: " you should be happy that you have a job ". So don't get upset over not getting this job, maybe it was not right for you and i see you are leaning toward my thought as well. A better one will come soon even if you have to wait for a while. I know that it feels like a punch that you didn't get the job that you were hoping that you would be getting. However, I do have to admit that I am the kind of person that believes that everything that happens in our lives happens for some kind of a reason. So though you might not be exactly sure of the reason that you didn't get this job, there is going to be something that will come along soon that will be a much better fit for you.
