The exploding poo...

So yesterday I brought home a friend for the little black kitten that I'm fostering. He's a little gray fluffball, a little bigger than the other one. He's also not quite as friendly, needs a little socialization.
Last night we were watching the Survivor finale, followed by the Desperate Housewives finale. I was holding the black kitten, and R was holding the gray one.
I digress a moment to tell you that the one and only time any of the kids had an exploding diaper, R was the diaper changer on duty.
Back to the kitties. So anyway, the dog came up to check out the gray kitten, the kitten spooked, and suddenly poo everywhere. Mostly all over R's clothing.
Poor little guy had a case of diarrhea, and R got lucky yet again.
What it is about R and exploding poos, I have no idea, but I'm happy it wasn't me!

Wow, that reminds me of my daughter who was twelve when my youngest son was born. She loved her brother, but as she wasn't really into babies, she also wanted nothing to do with changing a diaper or even holding him if he had a wet or dirty diaper. But one time when I was at the WIC office, she had to hold her brother while I signed some paperwork because I didn't think to bring in the seat. Well, you know it, my son pooed everywhere, yet fortunately for my daughter, most of the blanket caught it, but she had to wait while I got everything ready to change him. Needless to say, she still remembers that moment as the worse time in her life when she held her brother...

She's 21, almost 22, and says she will Never have kids and she spoils her brother who is now 9, spoiled rotten..She is as bad as a grandparent, taking him to all kinds of places, doing things with him, buying him things, giving him a whole basket of Easter candy...It's to the point where if she is visiting and is getting ready to leave, he immediately asks to go to her house..

KARMA! Yes indeed. It has finally come to visit him. I laughed so naughtily at that one. Didn't you? Am I sick or what? Poor kitty. I thought at first the poor kitty had been that scared of the dog. Ikes! I would be happy it was me too. Ugh! What a situation to be under as it were.

Hahaha! When I got up today the cat had done its poo..but most of it was on the carpet instead of in the tray. In other words, she missed!
Loved to have seen R's face when the kitten did its exploding poo all over him.
Classic!

Maybe the box is too small? Or the cat is too big?

No to both counts lol. She seems to like doing her business in the corner of the tray. She's only missed once before this but it's still annoying when it happens. She's had a guilty look on her face all day!

At least one of my cats likes a certain end too, and sometimes he misses or partway misses.

And you know, bad things come in threes, so there's at least one more exploding poo in his future!

That reminds me of the one and only time that Peaches has ever been spooked. Now I will say that she was a little leary of our dogs at first, but she quickly became acclimated to them. Well, near Christmas a friend of Tom's asked us to watch his dog for a couple days, he is a huge black lab. The first time that Peaches saw him, she flipped out, she ran for a place that he couldn't reach and jumped to get on top of the computer tower and miss jumped. She hit her head on the side of the tower and ended up with a kitty black eye.

Ha, ha! Maybe he has such a knack for holding them, that they feel comforted enough to poo on him, or maybe they realize something else and feel he needs to be repaid this way.

I think that when cats get startled,or scared they poo.We took a cat from an adoption clinic,he was supposed to be used to dogs(that was our one requirement),but when we brought him home , he hid for the night, then the following days he pooed all over the house,(bed, an open suitcase of a guest,..).He was terrified. So we called the people that were fostering him,and they took him back.We went to the "cat lady"(she had about 15-20 cats in her care),and asked for a cat that was used to dogs. And among the ones she pointed out,we took the one that picked us.A beautiful shinny black cat with big green eyes.Poor thing was declawed on all 4 paws then abandoned! he is very affectionated.(that is why we call him Snuggles),and even with out claws,he stands his ground with the dog!!! they are so cute, the big Rottweiler, and the little cat facing of!

You know, it's much better to leave a new cat in one small room until they get used to the place. The first cat might have fit in better if you had done that. But I'm glad you found one that was a good fit.
