@ syoti20- course? i don't get it. if you are asking how much centers pay (any call center), well they definitely pay larger than any other companies, that's for sure, just make sure you can cope up with working at night. if you're asking what collegiate course is needed, well, any course actually would do. you would see that call centers have employees ranging from nursing, education, med-tech, management, crim, etc. some don't require graduates, depending on the client's requirements, but some accounts would require graduates of a 4year course. it would be their HR who would decide which account you will be placed in

I believe when your cousin was undergoing screening the interviewer already shared what is his mistakes during the screening. Or if not, what I can advice is that he have to be fluent in English, because Call center job is about talking and listening. He should excellently express himself in English. The grammar should be correct and the words should be clear. There is also an exam where they are asking about grammar, phone simulation, direction and anything, he should pass it. And typing skill is also included. And he should sell himself, he should not look shy or afraid or nervous. He should sell himself confidently. My advice now is to read english newspaper or books but read it aloud. Do not read it by eyes, he have to practice speaking in English with clear words. And also, watch English films and listen to the voice of the characters, listen and repeat what they are saying. It is good if the movie they are watching have subtitle so he can read the lines loudly. By doing it repetively, he will get used to speaking that language , and also he gain confidence of speaking it. I know because i have been doing it for a year. However, call center job is not my ideal job because all the stress are in there, but anyway, all the jobs can give stress if you are not focus in doing it though. Good luck on you cousin, i hope he land a job because Christmas is coming.

in applying to call centers interview should be given more focus because they will be weighing what they have noticed from the applicants during the interview...if you fail in the interview then you will not make it through...applicants should be a good conversationalist...

Usually the final interview is the toughest. It is either you will meet the manager or the client. For me, the most important thing is about telling your qualities that the company will like. Make sure that you will appear as an asset. Highlight all your positive attitude towards work and how to contribute to the company. Be confident to answer questions and be ready to think out of the box. Lastly, pray to God.

most callcenter interview requires a certain level of proficiency in both written and verbal english. the reason is very simple, they cater to foreigners. to be honest, the interview section would be very INFORMAL, coz what they need to hear from you is your english proficiency so by the time you get to the floor and take in calls, they would be confident enough that you could converse properly, WITHOUT grammar, enunciation, pronunciation slips and regional defects. you have to remember that this are pre-set questionaires and that the needed skill/s is english proficiency. then come the typing skills - since all centers would require that the interactions be documented. so practice both verbal and written english (written, meaning typing fast). avoid what they call, filipinisms - the habitual use of fillers like "uhm, actually, basically, ay, ah"...etc. since they will only think that you are having a hard time expressing your thoughts. KEY WORD-PRACTICE. practice speaking without the use of fillers, like introducing yourself, and if you did say 1 filler, repeat the whole paragraph. listen (not watch) english movies to increase verbal knowledge-words. best wishes

Sound as American as humanly possible because these places like to hire people who can speak to Americans since that is the place that they will be interacting with the most. Speak fluent English or know as much English as you can, really know the language. Know your stuff, meaning, know computers, business, IT, whatever it is that you need to know for that company. Make yourself look better and more desirable than everybody else who is applying for that job. Make those employers want you.

They want people with a nice phone voice that can talk to people. You will most likely be reading a script if hired. Be courteous and good luck.

I guess being friendly and courteous is the most important thing one has to have, in order to work in a call center. OF course, quick thinking and mind is required too for customers are always full of tricks and complaints. Call centre agent's responsibility is to help company solve problems as they are in the front line, so that calls for flexibilty and gain trust over the phone. Being eloquent is an advantage

I guess that aside from experience and presentation a job in a call centre would require a certain amount of focus on telephone and people skills as well the ability of working well in a team environment. It would be a good idea to practice speaking clearly as well as doing some role playing handling more difficult situations like disgruntled customers for example. Best of luck to your cousin!

Hi. There are a lot of things that needs to be considered when preparing for an interview. But the best advice that I can give, being a seasoned call center agent, is to anticipate the questions and practice answering it. I failed my interviews 5 times before I finally made it. So, don't give up!
