I'm Really Liking SliceThePie.com!

So, I started using SliceThePie recently. I've heard a lot about it on here and it seems legit as far as I've researched. I think it's only open to US Residents though. I enjoy listening to the songs and reviewing them. The key is, you need to write good reviews. Not just "Oh, this song was great!' It needs to be substantial. Like, "This song had a really upbeat tempo that made me want to dance and..." I currently have almost $1.50 there. And I earned $.54 today. I think I rated 8 or so songs? I can't quite remember. But I really like it. Have you ever heard of SliceThePie.com?

Yes I love the site and I am glad that they made the changes that they did. I have to say that it is now a little easier to make some money and reach payout as well. I have been on this site for a long time and it is really great. I love the songs as well, it helps a lot of great artists get a chance.

Yeah it is fun and everything the songs are great. I have not reached any payout yet but I have heard of people getting paid from it so I decided to give it a try I mean I have nothing to lose lol. I do not have to invest any money in it so it is great to try.

I must agree! I feel the same way! My sister introduced it to me because I do a lot of online earning sites and she was surprised I never heard of it!

The user that commented below said he was Indian and got paid, so maybe I'm wrong. Maybe check their FAQ's just in case!

From what I remember, the owners are British since they pay in pounds unless they changed everything. So I had the feeling that I was rating British and some other nationalities. Thus I knew that not only Americans are rating the songs.

I am also a member of their site. The problem I am having is trying to get at the higher pay rate. That is the only way to earn decently there and so far I feel like I am stuck in a rut with them. It's nice to hear that you are doing well with them though. You must be doing something right. Keep up the good work there.

That really is good. I do try to write long reviews but sometimes I can't think of anything else to say about the song without repeating what I may have already said for a previous one.

I think the most I got on a review was 7 cents. I can't complain. That's more than I've gotten on any one thing for a online earning site. I think the key is you need to have good English and long, detailed reviews. At least a paragraph.

I have been a member of Slice the Pie for oh, around 1 year now I guess. I have never cashed out because I will try to work on there but then I will get bored because it seems like a lot of the songs are not that great. I think if I would apply myself on that site I would do better. It really is easy money so I should get myself to work on there. Maybe I will work on that today! Happy to hear you are doing so well! Happy Mylotting! Oh, also what is your star rating right now?

My star rating? Oh! Cool! I think I was only a perfect rating one other time and that lasted not even a week. But I'm glad it's back. Thanks for alerting me! Yes. Go back to slicethepie. It might be worth it!

I have been a member of slicethepie.com for quite some time, and it was good for a while, but although I select what genres of music I prefer, I still get to have to listen to stuff I have no interest in at all. Also they have changed the site so that 90 seconds of a track before you can write a word about the performance. I used to be a professional musician and run my own bands, so I have a good idea of what is good and what is not, yet the rating system doesn't work and in my opinion, a computerisation based on the majority of opinions cannot really judge. Therefore I have quit slicethepie as I worked out that if you work hard, and speak the truth, earning are not likely to rise about the minimum wage levels. Just my opinion. I enjoyed some of the better music and giving honest opinions, but some of it was very painful to listen to, yet if you tried to stop listening and move on to the next one, up that track would come up again.. _Derek

Yes, I agree there Stephanie about not being rude. But sometimes to the artist I guess it does sound rude, especially when I say something like, "you would benefit from some voice coaching or music lessons on your instrument". Yes, it is good if criticism can influence an artist/band to make improvement to their sound and performance and go on to become famous. I remember how I took constructive criticism - sometimes not too well! , but it made me look at what I was doing, and change accordingly. I really think that slicethepie needs to rethink it's policy on genre though. How can somebody who is not into a genre like rap or heavy metal, constructively criticize a number? He/she is going to be biased as it is just a discordant noise._Derek

I see what you mean. I was musician for awhile as well. I played percussion for about 6 years and piano for 8. It's interestin though bcause you do influence the artists and I try to critique but not be completely insulting because that's downright rude. But another user said he saw one of the users from slicethepie become famous and he was one of the influencers. That's kind of neat, don't you think?

As I listen to their station (Radio.com) , I just want to mention something in terms of incentive and our feedback. When I first got on MySpace years ago, a person named Jessie J asked to be my friend. I friended her and then critiqued one of her songs. Now she's a star. The thing about things like SlicethePie is that you, the critique, are a piece of the artist's success. That feels very good.

I think the site is amazing! I haven't been there since they changed it. I got the news about the change last week, so I'll have to check into it. It would be nice to get the higher pay. Some of the genre I don't like so it's harder to critique the songs. I also get bored after a while. Yet, I still do my best to be objective which is why I can only do about 10 songs per visit. Some of the songs that are in the genre I like, I judge the entire song as a whole. The ones in the genre I'm not too fond about, such as alternative, I give postitive criticism of the voices and instruments and tell them that although I'm not a fan of that music, I think they will go far and give them a high mark. No matter what genre it is, if they can't sing or the music is bad, then they get a low mark and I tell them why. Since I've been there, I've heard one dynamite gospel song, several great country and western, an awesome jazz song, and some others that have knocked my socks off. I also like how we can keep track of the acts we think will go far.

I know whatcha mean. I get like that when I'm reviewing too. I rated more than 10 songs today and I can't focus enough to rate anymore! Oh well. There's still tomorrow! You should come back. I really like the new interface.

I'm not 100% sure. I guess you can try and sign up. A few people that responded to my discussion are Indian users and they said they are members, so maybe it is! Good luck!

Apparently they did allow international members at one point, but now they stopped that. Maybe they were getting too many users and couldn't manage them all. Who knows.

Oh dear if yo are from the US then you are lucky enough to have found Slicethepie. This is a very legitimate site. If you are very good in reviewing music you will earn a lot from this site. When it was still open to all countries I made so much money from this site. Unfortunately, they've decided to make this exclusive to US citizens only. Nevertheless, I am thankful because I earned a lot from this site before the opportunities were closed to non US members.

I've been using SliceThePie for a while now and I really like it as well. I didn't log in all that often so I haven't reached payout yet. But I think I will reach it soon. It's quite an easy way to earn. I'm from Belgium, so it's definitely not for US residents only...

Hi Stephanie Ann C: I'm glad to hear that. I really enjoy working on Slicethepie. I think it's a really nice site and that you can actually earn just by doing something really easy and that you can enjoy, listening to music and tell how you feel at the same time and you als can find really good new artists with great music.
