Just a Mam!

Amen! People do not realize just what a mother is worth. There was an article years ago that estimated what a mother would make for doing all her jobs and if I remember correctly, it all added up to about 100,000.00 a mere mother would be paid. It used to get to me too when people would make such stupid comments like that. I believe in that old saying "that the hand that rocks the cradle, moves the world". Without mothers, where would we all be? Mother's should be held in the highest esteem. The job of mothering is the least appreciated and most underpaid of all jobs! A good mother is priceless! I praise God for the mother I had. In addition to all that you mentioned above, she had to make so many sacrifices for the kids. She was definitely EVERYTHING to me.

A just a mom does a lot of stuff. I tell people all of the time you know what you get a vacation from your kids every day you go to work in and office or where ever. I'm at home with my kids doing all the stuff that you don't do. I'm the one at home 24/7 almost a single parent it seems like at times because of all the stuff I have to do that they don't do unless they are a single parent. So yes my day is more busier then any one else besides other just moms. I might be 23 but I do a lot of things that go unnoticed.

Hi samd87, I always admire women who sacrifice their jobs and decide to stay home to look after their kids. You are not only what you've mentioned (in your post) to your chidren but a lot more. I think a stay at home mom is a very noble occupation. You're doing all this for your children and in most cases you're not being paid. How lucky are your kids indeed! Anyway those who passed such insensitive remarks should be ignored. They are probably jealous of your status. Have a nice day.

You are right that you are mattered to your children any nobody else. and we certainly don't need to pay attention to the shallow talks by those poor souls. Indeed, to be able to do something for people that we love is a blessing especially it is a choice. What is wrong to be a housewife?

Being a mother is something wonderful , don't let any one affect you , keep up do your performance as a mother .. This is the greatest message performed by women , God bless your children ... In Hadith " I came to the Prophet - peace be upon him - and I said,O Messenger of God , I want jihad for the of Allah , he said : your mother alive ?
