I definitely think you are normal. I'm similar to you myself. I spend most of my time at my computer as well. I watch a lot of videos on Youtube. That's one of the main ways I receive my news. I watch very little television. I play games on Winster daily as well. I chat with my online friends pretty regularly as well. I say to myself that every time I sit down at my computer, I leave the house. There is so much that we can do online. I think people like you and I are normal though.

Yea those around us definitely don't understand, I know the people around me don't. However, the way I see it, as long as you feel you aren't acting strange etc, that's all that matters. Best wishes to you my friend.

nice to know about that, sometimes we have thought we are normal, but not for people around us, my family didn't happy when they see me in front of computer, they said that I have been a strange person, and forget about time and everything..

You are of course normal, its nothing wrong if you are addicted to internet. Most of people these days are. I also spend lots of time with my computer and on internet, I don`t think there is something wrong. That is just modern technology and we need to enjoy in it.

just think what you do with cuber space is right or not.
if the answer is right, keep doing.
or just reschedule your time and doing what you have to do first and then secondly.
you will have good result about your time spent.

Well you are normal , but you yourself have to decide whether computer is so important in your life !
I would suggest you plan a routine in everyday life, like go for a jog in the morning or evening. Make friends and meet them in person.
Moreover if you are friends with people in your locality over internet, just plan to meet them in person and have a get-to-gather sort of thing with them.
Soon you will not feel guilty about spending so much time on the net !

It's often said that "Too much of what is good is bad." I feel that you're normal but need to get hold of yourself fast before you go "over board." You may consider that you're not normal if your addiction to the internet prevents you from attending to other legitimate issues. You need time to work (unless you earn your income through the internet), time to rest, time for recreation and other legitimate issues. So, you may need to carry out simple audit on yourself and you will know if you need to make amends.

You have joined millions of others who are now doing the same thing you are spending more of their waking hours on the computer than not. I have been doing it awhile now. The only time I don't is when I'm at my 86 year old moms from Thursday to Sunday and can't all that time, or when I am babysitting my grandson which has gone down to 2 days a week since he started to day care last week. So you aren't strange.

Yes, you're still normal. It's not just you who have that kind of feeling.Good for you that you knew that your addicted with the internet. People who are addicted to the internet is not aware of their own addiction. Since your aware of it means that you are still normal.

maybe that's why they say it's no longer normal because when they call you to do something, they just get ignored and of course get annoyed in the process :)) but i thing if you're doing something productive while sitting infront of the computer all day (like for example doing an online job, catching up with people you havnt seen in a long time or doing research) then i think it's ok. More and more people are using the interenet to fulfil their needs so having to stay on long hours infront of the computers nowadays is anything but normal :)) but it's also nice to go out once in a while to catch up with real people :)

reinykwan, it's totally OK to spend hours in front of your laptop! I also recently realized how much time I'm spending in front of the computer. I love talking to my friends while simultaneously watching videos on youtube or playing online games. Our past generation called it addiction... it's not that, it's simply living in the 21st century! Although it's great to get together with my friends in real life (to play more video games), don't think of computers as wrong or something not normal. Everyone I know can't live without them, either!

It is you who can give an accurate answer to your sincere question. If you are well-provided and money is not an issue to you, then you have all the time to do whatever you want. However, if you are struggling with money, and the chores that you need to accomplish, spending a lot of time on the internet and your computer, will eventually takes its toll on you. It may affect your health; your relationships, your productivity, your spirituality, and your attitude towards people and others. Countering the lure of the internet is something that we can decide to do on our own.

Being addicted to the internet is becoming even more normal with every passing year, as more and more of us rely on the internet for things that we might have done differently in the past. These days, we shop online, communicate online, and complete a lot of our work online, and this can mean that we can often spend an awful lot of our time on the internet without even realising we're doing so. A lot of people don't turn their computers off for entire days at a time, and I do think that this is something that they should be worrying about if they can't stop because they're addicted.

You are very much normal. I have been using the computer for along time and I usually spend most of my day on the internet or doing something on my computer. sometimes just reading or viewing pics. I think this is better than watching TV. Playing games is fun but I don't have good internet connection so I can only play gave that are downloaded.. Chatting is also a part of daily actions on computer for me.. don't worry you are not the only one who spend long hours online..

Most people are now addicted with the net.
Most office work done manually become easy with the help of computer.
This modern era is all about technology.
The only problem is, youngsters spent their time with nonsense things on the net.
Maybe you can make your net addiction worth if you keep mylotting :P
At least you are earning while spending more time on the net.
How about writing...you can earn and enhance your skill.
