it so hot now that i really feel like eating halo- halo. halo-halo, for those not from the Philippines, is a refreshment or sometimes desert that is made up of different sweetened fruits like banana, buko (young coconut meat) and gulaman or jello, ube etc. and crushed ice. milk is also added to make it creamy and top it with leche flan or a scope of ice cream. it is called halo-halo i think because it has different ingredients and before you eat it, you need to halo (mix) it. there are also ice cream halo-halo ice cream flavors. hmm it is so delicious and i know every Filipino like it especially this hot season.

Yes, halo halo is the perfect cure for the hotness of summer. The heat has become so unbearable these days that we really need to find ways to cool off. And eating delicious cold foods is one of them.

I guess it's not only Chowking food chain offers delicious halo2 but others follows too. I wonder how much they charge for home delivery. Because right now I'm craving for one. The heat is really unbearable so eating halo2 would refresh us a bit.

I honestly had my halo-halo before I went on my interview earlier. I saw your discussion but was not able to answer it until now for I had been called already. I really had to go to the nearest Chowking branch here in our company before I went to work for it is really a good time to have it. It was indeed very delicious and thirst quenching. Halo-halo is really best for summer

Oh yes! I think I have not eaten this food delicacy for quite sometime and I feel that this is just the right time to have one. I also like the ones sold in Chowking Restaurant since the ingredients are plentiful and you can taste the beans banana up until you finish the whole cup.
I also like the ones sold by Razon's since they claim they have the original recipe from their ancestors but I think when it comes to the ingredients Chowking has more.

Oh i love halo-halo too. I haven't eaten one since last summer.
And now it's summer (ours officially started just this Lenten season but it would shower sometimes though)but still i don't crave for it yet.
Maybe because it's not that hot yet, or maybe i am always inside the air conditioned office. Besides, i haven't seen anyone from the office ordered halo-halo. Good, because i am dieting.

I also love halo-halo. I love the fact that despite the fact that there are ingredients which are considered a must have for this particular refreshing treat, you can be as creative as you want in combining ingredients. Also, it isn't only pleasing to the palate, but its aesthetic sense contribute to the entire experience of having one. Although it is one fare that is usually enjoyed during summer, being in a tropical country like the Philippines, you can have it all year round.

I love eating halo-halo especially if it was served with a vanilla ice cream. I don't like ube ice cream. I like lots of leche flan and real ube in it, and with lots of langka and milk and crispy pinipig too. Ahhhh I love halo-halo!

we have this small stall in our hospital which is newly built and they sold halo-halo. since the season is hot, it was always sold out and when you buy late in the afternoon, tendency is that they dont have enough ingredients anymore. i love halo-halo because of its many ingredients and the way it cools you

I had those before, but without the ice cream. And similar dessert drinks were also popular when I was in Jakarta; I think they are called Es Campur(mixed iced drink) there. Or there's also what's called Es Teler which has jack fruits, avocadoes, and young coconut meat...

I like halo halo too. I would want to go to Razon's to taste their halo halo, many people say it's delicious though there are only about 3 ingredients. Chowking's halo halo is good though. :)
