I'm 34 and soon i will be 40! 
I don't dread it, I'm not scared. I've always considered age as just a number. I refuse to look old, well i won't be able to help it with the wrinkles starting to show.
No i won't resort to invasive procedure just to look young. I don't want to spend my hard earned money either to buy expensive cosmetics to stop myself from aging. I just want to live a youthful life. Enjoy whatever the youths enjoy. Listen to music they listen, appreciate them too!
You see i wanna be sexy at 40. I don't want to look fat, i don't want to look old fashioned! I want to be as hot as Gwyneth Paltrow at her age! Of course i'll have the wrinkles, but i'll make them look sexy! I know it's a crazy idea but it's all in the attitude!

Oh yes TOni, i think you will still be a hot mama even if your reach 40.
The way i note your active lifestyle and healthy habits i know you can maintain that sexy figure.

I want to be proud of myself and of course i'd like to see the face of my husband beaming when he sees me at that age knowing that i'm 3 years older than him.

So, you are 3 years older than your husband? I too, is older than my husband by 5 and a half year.
But you know Toni, my husband is already feeling older than me, because he said Price Tag is already old for him to listen, while i like it so much! 
I think the age gap is also a reason why i would like to maintain a nice figure even when i get older. It would at least hide the fact that i am older than him.

First of all 34 is a long way away from 40. now I am 48 this year coming up. in 2 and a half years, I will be 50. I still live for the moment. I go to heavy metal concerts. I go to wild parties. I live, I have fun.and I love it. the day I stop partying is the day you gotta worry. take it one day at a time. and you will always be a sexy person.

People can be young at heart plus it is a matter of how we live our lives, it is a matter of what we eat, if we let ourselves be undisciplined then we would not be growing old gracefully.
Like you i want to be that way too, like Julia Roberts, Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow - they all look hot at that age! not to mention Jlo!
I would not be surprised if you will be that HOT when you are 40 since you are quite active plus you live a healthy lifestyle and you swim, swimming i know cultivates your body. 1 person likes this

Oh thank you! I would want to be active, dancing until i'm 60, probably still longboarding at that age.
My sisters told me i'm aging backward but i don't care! I'm enjoying my life the way it is!

I am 35 so I will turn 40 in 5 years. I don't dread it at all. I like the quote by Ingmar Bergman: "Old age is like climbing a mountain. You climb from ledge to ledge. The higher you get, the more tired and breathless you become, but your views become more extensive." Of course we experience some physical changes when we get older, but we also have a lot more experience, and I am not afraid of turning 40, 50 or 60. I can accept the wrinkles, they are a part of my history and like you I don't intend to buy expensive cosmetics just because I get older. When I am forty I will probably continue dyeing my hair and do the things that I do at the moment. I want to look hot, but I don't to look like 20-year-old woman

I wouldn't want to look like a 20 year old either. Age should lock at 30s not 20s !
Went through health analysis and my metabolic age is that of a 23-year-old woman.

Well, 40 is the new 30. People are living longer and look better then they did in the past. I have seen some 50 and 60 year old women who are hot. I also remember when I was young and women at the age of 40 looked old. That is not the case anymore. You can be 40, 50 or 60 and still look sexy.

Well, dear friend Toniganzon, as you know, my thing is pointed at a direction different from my peers and friends (me, of years, I have 37).
Unfortunately, and this is my natural talent, as I am gay, I can not see the beauty in the female body.
This thing brings me problems at home, I stuck to the walls pictures of men, but my father had them remove me as maybe not accept it?
Well anyway, just to stay on topic with your discussion, know that Ithink as you, or you can be sexy over 40.

hi there toniganzon,
that was a very nice outlook in life. that you are not hindered by your age, and as you have claimed, it is just a number. thus, you are really correct, age are just number that helps us to determine how far was already attained and how many years we are already here. however, this should not really hold us back to stay spruce and pretty. after all, we should be really gain more wisdom and knowledge as we grow.
"forty and sexy", what a nice line to say whenever somebody tells us how we are doing.

Well l am 36 but i still look younger like a 24 year old chap. My juniors tell me to go and have admission in university once again. The reason besides this is l walk 10 k.m, daily as i dont have a bike or a car with me . So my court complex is 5 k.m far away from my house. Just few of my hairs started geting white but still not that bad. I try to be happy and not to take much tension or worries. Never compare myself with others. Keep on doing my deeds.

I'm in my early 40s and spending on cosmetics? No way friend.. i only spend to color my grey hair .
You know what comments i get from my friends & colleagues - mam if you wear a skirt and don't put sindoor on the mid of our head (vermilion - its traditional sign of a married female) people will think you are a college student, and no one will say you are a mother of two kids. Recenly a lady in our neighborhood commented - you & your daughter looks so same - my daughter (14) is a bit taller than me. I am not fat and am slim too.
Do you think i should start worrying now? Dear, do not live your age, live your life and be happy even at 60.

that is a good perspective. 34 is still young, but yes, age is just a number. it depends on a person how they carry themselves and live life at any age. you can be 20 something but if you don't know how to take care of yourself you can look old for your age but you can be in your 30s or 40s but if you know how to take care of yourself naturally, you will be better and can look sexy and hot.

That is so true! Went to a health club and had myself assessed. According to my result i've got the metabolic age of a 23 year old woman!

Me too! I want to say I like this topic so much! I am 33 years old now single but I am really enjoying my currently life. I believe there are different colour in our different period of life, 20 is cute, 30 is attractive, 40 could be mature and even be magical, LOL. As other friends said, all of them are in our heart!

Well, I'm 49 in July and not fat or full of wrinkles so there's still hope for those that are younger and will be 40. I have been told that I am still "hot" or otherwise not half bad. I'm not getting any thing done either, I need some work done on my ugly scars on arms but thats about all.

Great! You are an inspiration then to me and to the others reaching 40. I'm pretty sure i won't get fat but not so sure about the wrinkles. May not be full of them but i think i'll have deeper ones. I love the sun and there's nothing that can keep me away from it. Though i'm using sun screens to protect me i'm sure it's not enough protection from wrinkles.

I'm only 28, have 2 children and undergoing some life's tribulation. I want to maintain positive attitude but sometimes, harsh reality prevent me from doing so. When I reached forty I don't want to look old too and I still want to feel sexy as you do, do I better start preparing right now.

I understand how you feel. You are still young with a lot of responsibilities. I know it's not that easy to stay positive but you can try and find a diversion. Something like a hobby that you can do to make you happy without thinking of your responsibilities. We owe that to ourselves.

Well, all I have to say is that if that's you in your profile photo, you DO NOT look even close to 34! But then again, Filipinas do age very well don't they. I know this because my ex is from Northern Samar. She's 53 now and doesn't look a day older than 40!
We chose to teach our daugther at young age not fall for the Hollywood hype and not let society define what she is supposed to look like. I guess she inherited her mom's genes because now she is 28 years old, married with two children and still looks like she's only 17! She has to have her ID checked ALL THE TIME!

Well hello Stan! Yes that's me in the photo. And thanks for that great compliment. I do have wrinkles on my forehead though! Sun damaged wrinkles since i like spending time under the sun since i was born i think!

I am way past 40 but do understand what you mean. I don't think it matters too much how a man looks, but a woman likes to look young and desirable. I am sure you will do too, when you eventually reach the BIG four oh!
