best food supplement to enhance brain functions esp memory ?

I am a graduating student taking up Accountancy and there are several theories and formulas, terminologies and processes that i want them to last longer in my mind, if not permanently.. I will start my review sessions for the next weeks and i do want to ensure that i can retain whatever passes. I want to consult you guys if you're using some food supplements or herbal plants that can enhance your brain functions and memory? Did you find it effective? Hope someone with you guys know such things

Better you please go to a herbal medicine shop and ask for a memory tonic. In my country I have once purchased a product name BRAHMI GHRITA of which main ingredient is clarified butter frow cows milk. But Im wondering wether this element will work instantly or this will give any instant result. Better we can drink a cup of cows milk everyday. My suggestion we must keep normal as usual as we keep ourselves. No use to make any haste with such thinking. Because this persistant thinking may distract our minds from carefulness to study. I think we can eat our food to quantity as we eat all the time. We must not eat over load and always keep a blank space in our stomach and fill it with pure drinking water. Fruits and vegetables can make our performance more perfect and sharp. Fruits and vegetables give us a productive mood. And yeah exercise is a must that help our glands, limbs or organs work and develope better. And drinking a lot of water can enhence our positive mood. We can get potentials of a good life just by being with normal and scientifically comfortable life and living. Stay well.

Thanks for the comprehensive healthy lifestyle tips. I will try to look for herbal medicine shop. The problem is, most of the companies which are offering such things are bound to multi-level-marketing that made me careful of picking one who's not because they are just seeking for profit and might be a detriment to the quality of their products.

I don't think it has ever been proven that any supplements or added herbs ae much benefit to the body. Your best bet would be to go with a balanced diet, get the recommended amount of sleep and take a walk around the neighborhood every day. I've been taking supplements off and on my whole life, over 50 years, and I can't tell whether I've benefitted or not.

Hi KCLGphilsBSA, congratulations in advance. About your queries regarding food supplements that enhance brain functions, I really think that I haven't use any. What I remember is that my grandmother would always tell me to eat peanuts when I was still studying and reviewing for my exams. During those times, I really do not know how peanuts would help me pass my exams but later on, I learned that peanuts provides us essential nutrients needed by our body and our brain. Specifically, it provides us niacin(vitamin b3) which is essential for the development of our brain and its functions. So I suggest that you should try eating peanuts now. My little problem about peanuts is that I always get pimples after eating them.

For me the best food to eat are rich in vitamin B especially vitamin B1, B6, B12.. You can get those vitamins by eating meat like pork. But most of all better if you will consult your doctor because he knows best =).

The mother nature food which is in red or purple color(ex:apple,blue berries,onions,red beets,grapes) are good for brain.Because phytochemical that colors them.Anthocyanin is the same phytochemical that's good for our brain. Good luck dude
