Last night around 10pm I arrived home from an emergency meeting. Then my son told me that my friend (also a mylotter) called and my son advised her to wait for a text message when I am home. So,I ask my son to message her so she can make a phone call. ringggggggggggg..... I answered my phone and ask "why?" She said...come over within 10mins...now or never Huh?...are you kidding me ? Then she said...No- I am not kidding and I know you can reach here in less than 10minutes - (no traffic and drive 100kph) lols GREAT! I reached her house in just 7 minutes NO- She's not demanding. She just want me to join her and other two dear friends. She cooked an Indian recipe (chicken biryani) but she she don't want me to eat. (she cooked it too spicy that I only manage two scoop/spoon- can't bear the spices) I had a good time with them, laugh trip as always. Unplanned meeting with friends is always exciting and more successful Do you have same situation like this. Or do you have a demanding friend like her -hehehe OR- Can you tell your friend direct message like she did? (^_*) (peace) Have a great day everyone jaiho®- drained- writer's block (`_`) 7-26-2012 1:57pm Thursday

Oh! I never had such a desparate situation! But, I think I may have such an occastion soon, and the call may be from a friend from Phillipines, and the person can be you also! I am just imagining, a call from you and if it works out, how long it will take me to drive with a 100 km. I am sure that it is not a 10 mts. job. Anyway, hope you enjoyed the spicy dinner and was an excellent surprise too! Any way, this chicken biriyani is a daily food at home as I order a 25 kg of biriyani rice in the last month and I really want a change of the rice as it made me fed up for a continuous use. However, we got options of the 'shaped' chappatis and today I got special chappaties called 'aloo-methi chappati', ie chappatis made with wheat powder, boiled and messssshed potatos added with green leafs of methi, there is 45 mts. more for lunch, ready for a company? I am inviting you. But it will take more than 10 mts. to reach... hahahahh

That was really nice. I never had such experience before. No demanding friend like her but if I need to say such direct message then I will. Like asking your boyfriend to come over now or it's over~ Anyway, you can't eat spicy foods, sis???

hello jaiho... well, that is one of the best thing having your own vehicle so to drive yourself to a place where you want to go rather if you need to commute with utility vehicles. okay, that girl acted like that because she knew that whether you like it or not you will really come along -haha. before when my friends wanted to meet me and if i know that i don't a chance to see them (because having my own date - haha) i will really refuse. i know they are upset with it but they cannot force me to come along. but when it occurred next time around, that is the time i am going to see them to get repay from refusing at first. it happened to me lots of times. :)

If you read the whole topic- I really want to go there because two of our friends are also there. And those friends live a bit far from us and we don't have a chance of meeting them everyday- so, I don't want to miss this chance of having some fun with them. It's not about the caller is she is demanding or not...we're always together almost everyday and with no specific time as well. You see, we go out late night or early in the morning- as long as we have time and we want to eat something- we go out anytime of the day....as early as 4am

I don't have friends that demand that I do something right away because they know that I am ill and I can't just rush out of the house to do something. Usually, everything is planned.

hello rose, Our friends knows our situation, and I am sure your friends knows about yours. It's good to have considerate friends who thinks about your situation and plan everything. But friend, especially this one is not demanding, she only has this habit of informing me of any of our other friends is visiting or with her- and ask if I can come to join. Or sometimes, she will call and ask they're coming in my house with other friends... thanks and have a great day

I am very glad you had a great time with your friend. Sometimes my friends make food that I find WAYY to spicey but I try to eat it because it's still sooo good.. I just have to have a big glass of milk beside me. It was an impromptu get together but great fun I'm sure! My friends all live 30 minutes to an hour away :(

Hi Jai sis, so far i felt lucky that i don't that type of demanding friend like yours. Although she is demanding type but at least you are having great fun with her and the other friends. Of course, unplanned meeting with friends is always the greatest memories that need to be treasured. Hope you do enjoyed yourself a lot at that moment. By the way, i prefer to give my friend a direct message rather than making her feeling panic all the time...

Sometimes things gets better when it is unplanned. Because the excitement and the thrill of what will happen is there. It's like you are not expecting good things to happen but it did. Expect the unexpected as they say!

We all have responsibilities which we cannot drop and run the minute someone calls us. Especially me. But I would love to be free that way. At least once in a while. I do have friends who will do it if I am in an emergency, but not to have fun. They would beat the crap out of me if I call them when they are doing something important to just have fun.

This discussion reminded me of my college days. How we friends used to have lunch and tea parties. In a way we all were demanding towards each other, but never thought we were demanding. It always seemed as if it was our right to ask for anything. Now we all are in different states of India, yet we are connected and whenever they come over to my state we do meet and have lots of fun as before.

Well, I don't think any of my friend that made such a request. Most of the time, I would be given more than enough time to prepare myself if it is my friend who is going to hang out with me. The only person that I can think of which made similar last minute demand is my dad's girlfriend. She gave me five minutes to prepare and go out to have dinner. In the end we still waited for some time before she called my dad to ask if he will be driving us.
