Is this because of the coffee?

When I watch the foreign movies, it leaves me an impression that the foreigners are very energetic. Such as they often go to the bar and then drink until very late. Then they go home and go to work as usual next day. If this is the usual lifestyle, then they are very energetic because you have little time to sleep. I wonder whether this is because they often drink coffee. Coffee works for me obviously. Whenever I drink coffee, I will be full of energy and hardly fall asleep at night

I don't know if it is because of the coffee or because it is the movie that has many cut and take on the scene that makes us wonder that they are very energetic and they have to portray that role. But for me coffee is only to make me alive specially in the evening and I don't feel that my energy increase.

Yeh it might be the coffee mate.Coffee does work but it is important that you don't consume it too much because sometimes it can be bad for health too.Anyway, Probably it is the coffee!

In movies, they rarely go to the bathroom (unless it's a guy behaving badly), they rarely watch TV, they don't do housework or laundry, although sometimes a character will cook something or potter about in the kitchen.
In short, movies have very little to do with reality, which is really the whole point don't you think?

Yeah, it's probably the coffee, which is made fairly strong with or without espresso to boost it. I don't think it's a lifestyle I could keep up for long, even with the coffee, however. I have to sleep sometime!

i think movies give us a false sense of feeling. because they are in the movies, they have to appear to be energetic. furthermore, the movies only reflect the best side of life. many of those who are working appear to be able to leave work anytime they want. and it seems like everyone in the movie is a friend of another person.
thus, i personally feel taht movies reflect some untrue aspect of our life.
As for coffee, i think it's personal. some people might not be able to sleep after having a cup of coffee, but for others, the coffee might have no effect on them.
it is true taht the caffine in the coffee can stimulate our brain and make us awake for a little while more, i believe that it is not a long term solution.

When i drink much coffee a day, i will be very energetic in that day only and be tired in the next day. I think it is not because of coffee, it is their living style. I used to sleep 4 hours a day only and i was not tired at all, very active. However that habit is gone already, right now i need to sleep 8-9 hours a day, if not i will be very tired...

Movies don't reflect reality, period... If foreigners seem energetic, its because a majority of them do take good care of their health & their bodies. Also, they have this zeal, excitement & love for life... I think these two things keep them energetic..
As for coffee, it can only keep you awake & energetic for maybe a coupla hours. When I was a university student, Black Coffee & Diet Coke were my "bed companions".. hehehe.. But, after a coupla hours, I would feel so darn exhausted that I'd just sleep wherever I was & in whatever position I was in at that time..

The sleep cycle change as we approach a golden age. For mid-adults, it changed depending of what kind of lifestyles they have. Coffee has a caffeine, a substance that serve as a stimulants. Excessive intake can lead to palpitation, not advisable for a population having heart problems.

Coffee for me makes me more tired. My brain is wired a bit backward I guess. Tylenol PM makes me hyper actually even though it's supposed to help a person sleep. I talk to a lot of people who are foreign and it does seem they are usually energetic. I can't tell the reason why, but more foreigners drink hot tea rather than coffee. That could be the answer.

It could be coffee, or it could just be their diet, but actually, it's not always that true.
Foreigners are not always as energetic as you think. Movies fabricate things. They are not real. They make you believe that life is like that, when it isn't.
Not all foreigners are that energetic. Some of them can be, or are on the lazier side, you just don't see it all of the time.
I don't always trust what I see onscreen because in real life it isn't like that.

Could be because of the coffee, and even stronger things like Red Bull, which has way too much caffeine for me. A lot of people can not function without their morning coffee. I drink a cup of coffee a day, but in the afternoon when I go to the cafe to read my newspaper. I don't need coffee to wake me up in the morning, I can wake up on my own. If I don't get that cup of coffee in the afternoon, I am just fine. I ust lke the taste of the stuff.

For forieners, coffee is an indispensable part of thier life. Yeah it can work weel for some people staying up to work. And except that, why they seem to be so energitic, may for thier passion on work. Some people can gain a feeling of fullfillment for thier performance and drinking and chatting in the bar all over the night is just a way of life. They adapt to it. I think that's the reason.
