Goodbye Augus t- Hello September!!

Now that the month is August is almost at its end, some of us are sad, some of us are excited. For me, I am glad that August is at its end since it marks a new month (September) for a new beginning. A lot has happened this August. This month, we held a baptism for the baby at the house and celebrated her first birthday as well. It was strenuous but fulfilling. It's one of the highlights of my month. But, the worst thing that I would gladly say goodbye to for this month are the unstoppable rains that had caused so much worries and problems to a lot of us. Hopefully, there won't be too much heavy rains in the months to come. Have you had any memorable events in your life this month? What are you excited about for September and what are you so glad to say goodbye to in August?

Every month is memorable for me, especially when 11th of the month. Celebrating monthsary with my boyfriend =D He always makes surprises. Bad thing that happened this month is that I have to go on a straight shift the whole day because of the previous typhoon just this month =( I felt so tired. Let's just hope for a good weather this coming months. I am excited about September because it signifies the "BER" months which includes DECEMBER =D A lot of things to get excited about. Some people I know religiously start decorating their house on the first day of September for the upcoming Christmas Season.

I've heard some private sectors had to that where employees had to render extra days and shifts to make up for the lost hours during the typhoon and massive monsoon rains. It's great that you still celebrate that special day with your partner and never fails to surprise you. I guess, it's pretty much a tradition here in our country for some families to be putting up decorations as early as September. So excited for the Christmas season as well. Can't wait for my 13th month pay.

Duh! I forgot about that 13th monthpay! Lol The second most important thing that will happen to us on December besides celebrating Christmas. Well I guess it's included in my "A lot of things to get excited about" statement tehehe. Road to BER happiness! Cheers

September would mean my mother-in-law is arriving from New Jersey. My son can't wait since he has a new lego ninjago toy from his grandma. We haven't seen her for 6 months and it would be fun to have her home again. And in October, we would be going on a trip to another country.

Wow! That would be fun. I bet your son would love that new lego he's going to get from his grandma. You must be really excited as well. By the way, which country would you be going to this October?

I am right now looking forward to the arrival of September as our new school term is coming in a couple of days. By then we teachers and students will be meeting each other. It will be a wonderful time to meet each other and we will all be very busy in the first half of the month because of a national English examination. It is exciting to me. During the month of August I had and am still having a great time. With only two days left for this August, I am now preparing for my new lessons. Enjoy yourself, penrockerchic.

You too, williamkjisir. I hope you won't be too busy when classes start. Enjoy the last couple of days of August and I wish that you'd get to meet wonderful students this September. Have a blast williamkjisir.

For one, Hurricane Isaac has been a major weather problem. It has been a natural disaster that has had a major impact on those in its path. I would say it is an unfortunate part of the ending of August. Fall will be something I would truly welcome. It has been rainy and humid. I want to feel cool crisp air. This will feel much better and watching the leaves change will be another pleasure.

I am doing well, thanks. A great September to you too.

Yeah, I've heard of Hurricane Isaac. I hope you're doing fine. Gosh! I wish to see those leaves change. I got to have this on my bucket list. Have a great September ahead adforme.

There's no unusual happening. It's a normal month but all are happy. It's been 4 months already I stayed with my family after 2 years away from my country because of my job. I am excited to see my first baby that will be deliver next year.

That is some good news! I'm happy to hear that. A baby is always a blessing and having one at home could light up an entire room. Hopefully, you can get back sooner to your family and have the life of your dreams with them. Good luck for this month and for the months to come.

Hi, I didn't have any memorable moments in the month of August. But from last month my mother is not feeling well. So I worried about my mother very much. I wish in the month of September she will be alright.

september will mean a lot of changes for our household as our oldest daughter is going off to college. we are taking her up this coming weekend and she will be staying in dorm. this means that her younger sister will be an only child and our house will be a lot quieter! my birthday is in September and our 25th wedding anniversary is in October so i am looking forward to the fall (plus, i like the fall anyways just because i like sweaters and the cooler weather.)

You must be anxious and excited at the same time sending your daughter to college this September. And I know your daughter must be feeling the same way. You must be really proud of her. By the way, 25 years of marriage is quite an accomplishment. How are you planning this special occasion? I wish you all the best!

Nothing memorable has happened to me, but I'm glad it's September because I hate the summer. My favourite season is autumn (fall) and it's now just around the corner. The rain here in the UK has been a real drag this summer.
• Philippines

I see. It seems that rain during the summer has been quite a trend all over the world and if it's hot, it's scorching hot. Anyway, I'm glad that you're excited for September.

I am not so happy august is ending but I would like to see how September work out . One reason I am not happy is because I am feeling kinda lazy about blogging etc I wish I had some more time . Well for September I should see some good changes so I am kinda excited about that .

Good for you, you still got time to blog. For me, I have started a blog a few years back and then deleted it, started it again and haven't written anything on it. Have a good September ahead. I'd sure would like to check your blog sometime soon.

It'd a little bit sad and hard to believe that august is nearly done and taking the summer along with it. /september is nearky here and the chill of the autumn weather wil not be far behind. the changes of the seasons are coming faster than we can keeo up.
• Philippines

I wish someday, I can witness the changing of the seasons all year long just like how you've described it. In the place where I live, we only got two seasons, summer and rainy season so there's not much to really experience when it comes to the weather.

For me, "ber" months signify that Christmas is just around the corner. And so as early as September, I buy Christmas gifts for my friends and family. I like to avoid the traffic and being at crowded malls during the Christmas season.
• Philippines
30 Aug 12
That's one thing I've got to learn when it comes to buying gifts. I always tend to do my gift shopping during rush hours and it stresses me out. Thanks for the reminder. I think I really have got to start planning when to do my shopping for the Christmas. I really want to enjoy this year's Christmas way better than the years passed.

Time really flies, September, Ocotber, November and December months are coming. I just want not to let this month pass because I really enjoyed doing less on my work. I totally had fun and I'm recharged. The succeeding months will be way too busy for me. Stress will be there for sure. Hope life will treat me good. Thanks

I wonder why most of us, myself included, always have a the busiest months of the year to be those towards the end. I can't remember a time since I started working when these months of September to December have been kind to me in terms of work load. I wish you'd have better and greater months ahead my friend.

I am also pleased to come to the end of August. I live in Greece and July and August have been exceptionally hot. August is the worst because the winds blow in August and lots of wild fires break out all over the country. It is a terrible thing to watch a wild fire burning up the countryside and destroying people's homes. So 'Welcome September' when the temperature will start to drop and I can work in the garden again, turn off the air conditioning and enjoy the climate. I can even look forward to the possibility of rain - as an English person living abroad, I really miss the sweet smell of rain.
• Philippines
30 Aug 12
It's so ironic to know that some people seem to wish for the rain, while in our place, we can't wait for it to stop. Well, with all the fire break outs that happened all over your country, I really hope that it will rain soon enough. I remember a few years back when forest fires had been such a huge problem during our summertime and it kind of scared the hell out of me especially since I live in the mountainside of the country. It's nice to know someone from Greece. It's actually one of my biggest dreams to visit your country and see the beautiful Greek heritage.

Nothing important or eye-popping really happened in August, but I'm glad it's ending. September is a month before my birth month and it also marks the start of fall, my favorite season. i live in Louisiana so it won't be as hot, it will actually be cool and refreshing. hope my comment provided valuable insight.

Your input and all other responses have really given me some valuable insight and this way, I get to know others better. To be honest, I thought all along that fall is the only season that comes in the month of September. Now I know that in some countries, they'd actually be experiencing spring time during this month. By the way, I hope you would have a great month ahead especially since it's almost your birthday.

I am both happy and sad that August is almost over. I am sad because August is the last summer month and when August is over the summer is over and the weather is getting colder. I will no longer be able to wear a dress or leave the house without a jacket, from September I will have wear jeans again. We not be able to spend the evening outside anymore because it is colder and because the days are getting shorter and I think that is sad. In July and August I had a summerjob where I worked 7 days a week and I happy that my summerjob is over now because it means that I will get more time for other things. I also look forward to some of things that are going to happen in September: My birthday, the fair that I am going to visit and the cultural evening on the September 7. In the September I am going to continue my voluntary job as a language teacher and I also look forward to that.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. It seems that you've been busy during the summer and you're still going to busy this coming month. It sure sounds like you have a lot to do be doing and jobs to attend to, yet still have time to be here in Mylot. It's really nice to know how some people here at Mylot spend their months.

This month we bade goodbye to our old boarding house and said hello to the new one. It's been a stressful month so I want to end August already. I want to say hello to September, there are many children and adults in the family celebrating their birthdays in September. It's one of the most awaited months of the year. happy mylotting.

How did August become so stressful for you? September seems to be a really great month for celebration and I wish you'd have a great month ahead what with all the birthday celebrations you have to be a part of. Happy mylotting to you as well.

August is not a good month for me usually either. It.s the coldest month of the year and I hate cold. So, September is for me the month when Spring begins, the sun comes out, flowers start blooming and so do I. Our national day is in September, so we also get some holidays.
• Philippines
29 Aug 12
I see. You're so lucky to have 4 seasons. We don't. I wish to see spring one day. Just like you, I hate cold weather even though I live in the coldest place in our country. God, I wish to see flowers blooming just like you.

September starts the "ber" months, a signal that Christmas season is just around the corner (for Filipinos as I can't claim the same for other races). Since childhood, this month excites me as you start feeling the atmosphere of Christmas. Go to malls 'tiangges' and popular local markets like Divisoria and you'll be seeing Christmas decors around you. August will remind us of "water all around" that brought miseries to a lot of out countrymen.
• Philippines

So true. I really hated those monsoon rains that had drowned a lot of houses. You are right, "ber" months are near and since September is the first month that ends with ber, I can't help to be excited about Christmas and holidays. I've never been to Divisoria and hopefully, I could get to visit it one day. Didn't get the chance to go there when I went to Manila a few years ago.

This august brought sadness in my life so i am waiting fir the september ti come and bring some happiness in my life.

Don't be sad my friend. It's your birthday and I still wish you a happy birthday. There are so many reasons to celebrate. And if you got any problems, whether it may be personal or professional, you can discreetly share some of them here at Mylot and be feeling lighter and happier after a while. It's what Mylot does to me. It's like an outlet of some sort. Be happy.

The older I get the faster that time seems to be passing me by. August went by way to quickly but with the 100 degree temps I am glad that September is will soon be here along with its cooler weather. September is also a month of transition. Kids going back to school, new beginnings, and new adventures. I am glad to see it come and sadly I am sure- it too will pass by way to quickly.

Don't think about getting older. I don't. It's true that time flies so quickly but I think there's always something more that we can do with our time each month or each day that we are given.
