What was your favourite toy when you were a child?

I was not a little girl who liked to play with dolls. My favourite toys were stuffed animals, especially my second hand teddy bear. When I went to bed I put them down each side of me and fell asleep between them. I was very nervous when I had my first baby, I remember thinking 'if it was a puppy I would know how to look after it' however, mother love and nature took over and I managed OK. Now my family has grown up I'm back with dogs and cats again. Full circle!

My favorite toys were stuffed animals and plastic figurines of dogs. I really liked dogs when I was a kid, and I loved collecting the plastic figurines of "Puppy in My Pocket", and my friend collected them too, so we often played together with them. I've had lots of fun with those little cute doggies. :D

I can imagine that you did, unfortunately they weren't around when I was little but I did have a collection of farm animals which I played with.

When I was young, I seldom play dolls too because that is expensive mother can't afford to buy us, so I save my school allowance and just buy cheap toys, toy car, squads of military and one most I like are different colors of rubberband, we play that and whoever wins got many rubber bonds which we tie one another to make it a long rope to be our jumping rope. I'm fascinated with different colors so I kept it more thatn my plastic toys which I bargain with my playmate to change plants ( they have flower garden)because Mom loves plants. Now I realized that playing rubber bonds is bit dirty so I don't allow kids to play with that lol.

Playing games seems to have won hands down. It is interesting to learn how children play when money is short, I think you are all very resourceful people. Imagination is more inspiring than money in your pocket.

I was similar to you in a way, as I also did not like to play with dolls! I preferred things that I could do, like jigsaw puzzles or paint by numbers! Now that my family is nearly all grown up, I might go back to having dogs again, as I liked having dogs when I was older and already in university. I don't think I will venture with cats, as I am not really fond of them.

I had lots of toys that I loved, but I think my overall favourite was a little fluffy yellow toy poodle that I used to tie a string around and take it out for walks, pretending it was a real one. I would only have been aged about 5 at the time.

i'm not so keen on toys as a kid. in our country we have local games for kids then that i enjoy playing. these don't involve toys but usually group games that requires active participation by the players. these were however not popular now as kids now are more on robots and computers

I'm a girl... but I like playing gunshots, pog, pingpong, small balls, bike... hahahahaha I enjoyed a lot during my childhood days :)
