It has been said that fall of 100 hairs a day is normal.if more than this is a alarming sign.it is due to deficiency of vitamins, minerals and iron in the body.there are also many reason like lack of sleep, eating unhealthy food etc.so in order to get healthy hair and reduce the problem of hair fall we should eat healthy food, drink plenty of water, apply appropriate shampoo which suits us,massage our scalp with oil atleast once a week, avoid drying with dryer, donot comb wet hair, avoid direct contact of sun, regular cleaning and many more suggestions.what you guys do to control hair fall?

hey rohitt,
hair fall can also be controlled by using right water, if you are using salty water it can cause hair fall too, use sweet water to wash hairs that reduce hairafal. Other than this avoid using really florant and scenty shampoos because extra and harsh chemiacals destroy your hair.

it is the first time I hear people wash their hair with salty (sea?) water.
there are plenty of things that can destroy your hair or make it fall temporary.. but for the rest it's hormons (or a lack of hormons) and medications or sickness. And if these are the reasons there is nothing you can do against is besides of accepting the fact. BTW stress can be the reason too!

When I am showering and washing my hair I usually lose some hair strands. I try to collect them up in order to stop the water hole in the shower getting bunged up. I always let my hair dry naturally and never use a hair dryer to dry my hair. I eat a healthy diet and it is vegan. I use a mint and tea tree shampoo and a mint and tea tree conditioner. I have vitamins and mineral pills including multivitamins, iron, vitamin B12 and omega. When in a hot country I wear a hat.

My hair is very thick but many are falling. I wash my hair with special shampoo for hair fall. I try not too hard while combing my hair when the hair is still wet. Once a week I wear a hair vitamin.

one of the things that can help with hairloss is biotin, biotin is a B vitamin and is needed to maintain good hair and nais.
Drink plenty of water, the sun actually can help with your hair to get it out of resting phases, avoid wearing hats as that rubs your hair.
Aloe Vera, massage, maybe some sort of laser comb can all help too :)

Some people just lose their hair regardless of how healthy their hair is! of all the things that you have suggested the only one that is really any good at helping maintain your hair is massaging your scalp, because it increases blood flow to your scalp which has been shown to help health of hair. It really doesn't matter how clean your hair is as to whether you hair is going to fall out or not. The health of your scalp could affect it, which can be affected by cleanliness!

Being hypothyroid, it's normal to have a hair fall. But as you said, it's alarming to have more than a hundred falling everyday. Before, I tried perming my hair so I won't be needing to brush it every time. But the problem is, every time I wash it, my hair just falls off and one time, I counted them, and they are MANY. About 50 on the first rinse. Now I got tired of my curly hair and have it straightened. The falling was reduced. Sometimes, I comb them very lightly so they will not fall off. Tried using anti-hair fall shampoos and conditioner but I don't think that they work for me.

First of all: you can massage your headskin also without a great shampoo. A shampoo has nothing to do with it.
Also: if you have the right food you won't have a lack of vitamines or whatever.
BTW a lack of iodine is the reason of many health problems not iron.
It's also not said that if you lose more as 100 hairs a day you are getting bold or this is abnormal. I doubt anyone is counting these hairs.
There are many (temporary) reasons why one can loos hair for example: illnes, fever, operation, pregnancy, giving birth etc.
If this is the case the hair will come back.
Also change of hormons after a certain age and dna (it runs in the family) can be the reason. If so no good food, head massage or shampoo will help.

Yeah you are right on that and hair fall problem has been in increasing. I used to have the same problem and I was very upset because I have very less hair and on top of that it was falling. I started to oil it using coconut oil and used aloe vera as well. It has reduced alot. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

I am experiencing hair falls but I think because of parlor chemicals used on my hair when I had it relaxed. It was then that my hair begins to show brittleness.

Hey rohitt,
Its really new to know that 100 hair falls a day isn;t abnormal. I have certain periods when of hair falls and during those periods it falls without any stop. I don;t know why this happens during a particular time.
I have heard some saying that cutting your hair short or trimming your hair to short would prevent baldness. And also, it depends on genetics. Just think whether your dad, grandfather is having bald. If they have you have 50 % more chance of hair fall as well as baldness.
My first tip would be that, don;t shampoo your hair daily. Your hair generates natural oil and its very much needed for maintenance of your hair. Using CRT monitor also contributes a part to hair fall and you forgot to mention tension in your reasons you mentioned. Tensions and stress causes hair fall unfortunately tension and stress is a part of life and you cannot avoid that but try to reduce these. For some reason if you stand in sun for a lot of time you may feel a kind of itching in your head, this turns to be a reason for hair fall.
Talking about food, you need to consume foods that have a high lot amount of iron (spinach) .Limp hair or brittle hair indicates iron deffieincy.
There are some awesome oils that you can use to prevent hair fall. You may feel very difficult to figure out the rite one among so many. In my country Indulekha is one of the best oil. My dad have used it in the bald parts of his head and we were very much amazed to see the result.
Hope this helps. Happy mylotting and lead a healthy life.
