For all the gifts that I received, either cheap or expensive. I safely keep them in my treasure box.I am not dwelling too much with tokens. But I have the most memorable dummy, that no one will ever think how special it was. Even the readers like you, will feel indifferent reactions. The story behind, the no face doll is a present from a colleague in my placement. It is a learning to deliver the practical demonstrations of exercises in a child inflicted with impairment or disability. Obviously, the writer solicited the colleague for not having face to the dummy. She replied with enthusiasm, it was done for the participants in the seminar to create ideal faces for their child dummy. I find it strange, eventually glad that I have one for myself. This child dummy of mine has its name, Jamshed. Jamshed means Junior. So I used to call him, my Jamshed. I hope you like it. Or feel scared? weird?

It does seem odd. I don't quite understand why the doll having no face means a child with an impairment. But if you value it, it is important to you.

I think most of the respondents have misunderstood the concept here. If I understand correctly, the doll was created with no face for impaired children to use in a treatment setting where they are to make a face of their own creation. The ensuing therapy would be based on what kind of a face the child gives the doll.

Hiya shavkat, Is it scary to look at? Well truth to tell is does seem a bit odd with no facial expression or lines or markings at all. However I find myself imagining a face in my mind to put on it or maybe sew a couple of buttons on it for eyes? Or draw a face on with felt tip pen something like that. But if that is the way the Doll is meant to be looks okay to me too not scary but at the very least I would put some kind of eyebrows and eyes maybe just drawn on like I said as you could always change it after.xxx

I actually think that this is something that is pretty neat. The reason that I think that it is so neat is because of the fact that I have a friend that creates digital scrapbooking supplies and one of her lines is her Dollz and all of them are created without a face. I believe that the reason that this is done is because it isn't really right to give something a permanent expression. I also think that it is neat that you save the special gifts that people have given to you.

Kinda strange, but not so much. At least you have a dummy doll. In high school, we had an assignment to "adopt" an unborn, aborted baby and I named my baby Daphne Joy. She would have been 18 now if she were born.

I feel a bit scared,, and weird too,,, your doll Remind me old Superman series I watched on TV when I was just a little girl. A woman who fell in love with Superman doing voodoo which made superman lost his face. If it was my doll then I'll add two buttons as eyes for the doll

Unless it is one of those "Design a Face" dolls, then that would be creepy to me. I have gotten some "Design a Face" dolls, but seeing as how I am a poor artist, I usually gave them to people who could draw and were good artist. I never really liked these dolls because they always just freaked me out.

It looks weird but not scary. I am not into dolls. I prefer to buy small stuffed toys for my collections. I can't remember receiving a gift that looks weird or unusual too. But yes, I also keep gifts and tokens from friends and loved ones.

i love dolls and stuff toys, but not the creepy and strange. get so nervous and dream they eat alive every night and chase to get me. this s very scary. i would not even give that kind of stuff to my nieces. some would like it or just draw a face on it. some kids would be so curious to have it while bother would dislike. i leave them the preferences. they could call it the faceno.

Well, since I am used to seeing movies in the horror genre, I'm not afraid of some dummy without a face! I must say however that I have never seen such a thing. However, I understand from your discussion that this object was given to the participants in a particular seminar, so that result in their imagination as to what "face paint" this doll. Someone you know by chance what kind of face gave to it? I could easily keep in my bedroom that object, not scare me at all, although it still would never do that because I do not like!

Nice title. When i read it, what first came to my mind is "SLENDERMAN!" Slenderman is a supposed to be horror figurine with dark suit and 8 tentacles but with no face whatsoever. There is a game about it entitled "Slender". It creeps the hell out of me and i'm scared playing it as it shocks me and makes me think slenderman is really watching me . Anyway, with the ongoing trend of slenderman today, stuff toys or tokens, dolls, etc with no face is actually pretty scary. Well, it's just a matter of past programming in what things scare you the most but when i played slenderman, my perspective changed from better to worst, so don't play it. Good day~

I don't think it looks scary at all. I think it looks like the maker of it just hasnt completed it yet. It looks very unfinished like a work in progress. I have never seen one before so it is kind of neat...didn't know they made them like that.

I find it scary. The blank and white face of the doll makes my imagination works.

Faceless dolls looks a bit strange to me. I know people who prefer dolls without face, because they say children can imagine whatever facial expression they want for them... I remember I had a doll that I didn't really like because of her face, although adults said she was cute. But I don't know if it's really better without a face?

I think it is weird, a doll with no face. Usually dolls represents beauty and fashion (like Barbie). It is kinda strange... but looking beyond, I think it is fine. Since I don't have interest on dolls :P hehehehe Have a great day!
