Roses are red.
Violets are purplish.
I don't feel like job hunting today.
Goofing off is what I wish.
My routine has been, drop off kids, pooper scoop, look for a job, do other stuff.
Well today I don't feel like it, so there!
I dropped them off, picked up the mail (good news, the middle school is letting the twins stay there), came home, did the pooper scooping, did my EDD (unemployment) form for the last two weeks, and now I just do not feel like checking all my job e-mails and going to apply for more jobs.
Tomorrow.
Ever have things you need to do, and just don't feel like doing them right now?

Once you get back to work, you know you're gonna have to focus on work. So I say goof off now while you can!! That's great the school is letting the twins stay . . . one less thing to worry about now. There are always plenty of things to do - and when I don't feel like doing them, I come to myLot - ha ha!!
Roses are red.
Violets aren't pink.
Yah, I sometimes feel like you do.
I need to get to the rink!

This is allergy season for me..... ragweed and weeds. My eyes are watering, my nose is running, and the tissue box is nearby. Obviously, if I was looking for a job it wouldn't be a look any employer would be interested in seeing. I seem to be washing my eyelids every hour to keep the allergens down. And I'm sure my nose looks like a red ball from wiping it all the time. Make-up cannot stop the appearance and in fact, could make it look worse. Of course, a nap sounds wonderful since I seem to spend all my energy just keeping up with the watering eyes and running nose. The headache doesn't help either, and IF I wore high heels (which I don't anymore) I could see me stumbling around looking for a job. Pretty funny, fruitless picture in my mind. Even with allergy medicine, it is still crazy how my body reacts to this time of year.
Glad to hear the twins will get to stay in the school. Hope everything else turns out good.
Yep, tomorrow sounds like a plan to me. Off to nap!!

Those are pretty much the only high heels I wear, and rarely. I prefer tennis shoes as much as possible. I don't know how anyone wears some of the heels out there without having back problems or breaking their neck. When I was young, and stiletto heels were in fashion, I tried them, didn't like them and actually used them as weapons one time .

High heels? What are those? Actually, on a job hunt I do sometimes wear heels, but we are talking 1 1/2 - 2", none of this crazy stuff that's in these days.

3" heels are as much as I ever did. These 6" things they are wearing is just insane. Bad for the feet, the back...

Hi Dawn,
So take the day off and have a "you" day. Do whatever you feel like doing. We all need days off from the daily grind regardless of whether or not we are working a paying job. Job hunting sucks. My daughter is currently unemployed and she just gets so very frustrated with it. Somedays, I take my grandson and tell her to just go and hangout with a friend....take a break. She has only been unemployed for 2 or 3 weeks but there really isn't much out there. Today is my day off and my house is a pit. (My grandson & daughter stay with me ...he's not quite 2). They are off with my ex for a few hours and I really, really should be cleaning. Am I? Hel no! I'm on here being inspired by you!

Oh gosh this is the story of my life. I feel like everyday I have something that I just have to do but I can't bring myself to get them done. I'm actually doing it right now. Instead of being on myLot I should be getting my schoolwork done for the week and finishing up a project. But I just feel so lazy that I'll work on my things for a little bit and then take a really long break before going back to it again.

Don't you just hate the saying, never put off tomorrow what you can do today! Some days I just can't be bothered to do anything, half of me wants to spend the day in bed, but knowing Ive got stuff to do, but it's having the effort, but when your heart isn't in it and you'd just like to be doing anything but the jobs in hand, it is better to leave it to tomorrow when perhaps you are in a better frame of mind and sometimes when you feel bla you dont do the job properly so it ends up becomes an even bigger task especially when you have to redo it again!

Hi, dawn....I've been a major procrastinator since I was a kid. Always put off tomorrow what I don't want to do today. So I can understand where you are coming from today. Of course, then I was always having to rush around and get stuff done at the last minute. About the only things I did not delay were my school and college studies. I loved reading, studying and learning. Weird?

I think that all of us have days that we have things that we need to do and we just do not feel like doing them. This is the case for me from time to time, and yes, there are some times that I do put off until tomorrow what I really should be doing today. However, most of the time even though the things that I need to do are not the things that I want to be doing, I will force myself to do those things that I find to be unpleasant just so I won't have to think about them tomorrow.

They do pile up pretty good if you put too many things off.

I know; sometimes it feels like life is just a big 'track around the football-field,' and--after two or three times around--you feel like (since you don't really improve because of the track) you might as well slow down and maybe take a seat on the side when you see that everybody there is running pretty-much just to keep running.
Seems like the best thing one can do is 'be still and know' that they who run are indeed 'running a good race'---sure, they're just running 'in order that they & theirs can keep on running' ("I got to run----------- to keep on run-nin` ..."); but the world might stop 'turning' if the runners stop running!
The best thing to do is encourage them. And the best way to encourage them is to join-/lead-them. That's why you want a job (that---and sure, you need the money; but that's just to keep you alive & fueled to do the 'run the track' )

Sometimes i cannot my works in proper way due lack of time management. At those time i just do the works in a hurry burry without giving my best.

Yep, there are days I just want to play hookie from doing things I have to do or places I have to be. We all need days where we just sit back and do what we want to do.. to find and center ourselves for the next leg of journey of life. But good luck with the job hunting..

Today was my day off and I had good intentions of cleaning the basement..but it will wait until Sat. Then I have a plan to get it done...I also didn't clean the house much...instead I enjoyed my day by starting out scrapbooking...then ran some errands...picked up some lunch for myself and had a nap....wonderful day. All things can wait until tomorrow.

Hi Dawn,
I had a great weekend. It's like going to a retreat. The effect is so great but when I came home i was so lazy to even unpack my stuff and do my laundry last night. So, i just let it stay there and hopefully i will have the push to do it after work later today.
Today at work instead of finishing my reports, i just sorted out the mails for our residents did some calls, facility inspection and now doing mylot. Ho pefully, i will have the energy to finish everything that i need to accomplish with my shift ends.

I can relate, there are really times that we can't help but rather postpone or put off some stuff that we usually need to do. Like yesterday, I need to go to the bank, have some ID and pictures taken and buy some stuff. I put it all off for today since yesterday it drizzeld a bit. That's all it took to make me back out for my plan. Well, actually, it's just an excuse. I'm just feeling like doing nothing yesterday lol!
