Why? I'm not judging anybody. I just want to be enlightened Why? Why girls make it to the extent to make such efforts for them to look like DOLLS? Or BARBIES? Or Anime characters?
I'm sure you've seen them at the internet. Those who stretched their eyes wide open to look big, and put fake eyelashes. Make their nose smaller. And pout lips. And especially their disproportionate bodies. Big boobe, very small waistline, and the rest.
It even looks scary to me.

Girls are under a lot of pressure to look a certain way. Fictional characters represent certain ideal characteristics in females, and with constant enough exposure to them, a girl can be left to feel inadequate about her body if she doesn't emulate that look.
Fun fact: if Barbie was a real person, her body would be unable to stand upright, so she would have to crawl around on all fours. Also, her neck couldn't support her head, so it would be dangling around as she's crawling. Picture that for a fun moment.

Hi ztuberi! You know teenagers nowadays are fond of watching anime shows on television and they really love it. That is why they are trying their best to look like one. This is just a fad I think will soon pass. I understand how the children feel and it's part of life.

Are you referring to cosplayers. I think its fun and acceptable to me. But what I'm referring to are those who get surgeries just to be like barbie doll. And I dont know if they can come back to their original self if they are tired of becoming barbie doll.

Surgeries? I never thought there are people who would change their physical aspects up to that extent. That is another issue, he he. I never seen anyone in real life. Yes it's true, I've seen some cosplayers and I actually like them.

I agree, they do look scary. To me, they are scary. Girls should love the way they look and they should be happy with who they are, and if they are not, then they need to go counselling or they need to take some self-esteem classes. You don't have to be perfect to be beautiful.

yeah, me too, it doesn't look at all attractive because it is not real and natural. anything that is artificial especially too much of it is bad and looks kind of scary.

I was watching a talk show a while back and their eyes were as if they were open wide with no emotion or sparkle. Why aren't people happy with their bodies? Sure I can see improving, because of weight or firming up, but to have surgeries to make them look different other than what they are, I just don't understand. It seems once they start with surgeries, they just keep having more and more.

there was a rumor years ago that models even had ribs taken out to make their figures like hourglasses. i don't know if that's true or not. but if i were a doctor, i would not do it and would ask them to find someone else willing to do it to them. that's what i find extreme, when they go beyond clothes, makeup and accessories, to actually having surgeries to have their bodies re-sculptured. i'm not referring to reconstructive surgery when people are disfigured and for health reasons. i'm not referring to enhancements like eyefolds and tummy tucks, either. i'm just wondering if extreme surgery will cause them health problems in the future and if some are reversible.

Everyone wants to look the best they can look but nobody ever seems to be happy with the way they look. So they find an image, such as a Barbie doll or cartoon character, that represents the perfect look to them, and they try to pattern themselves by that perfect image. Not all these changes are necessarily healthy or even pretty, but in their mind it is.

Hey, we have same thinking here- yes they look scary to me more than being pretty that they thought they are.
Well, we cannot blame them for doing so, some people admire them for that looks- but not everyone, there are lots who also criticize and feels scared.
I have seen few videos from the youtube- and wow- they don't look real people anymore.

There could be many reasons that people want to look like Barbie or anime characters. Perhaps, they want the attention or they just love looking like their favorite doll or anime character. I think we shouldn't judge them. As long as they're not hurting anyone or themselves then we should let them indulge in their own self-expression. It may be just a phase that they're going through.

I've read that article on yahoo. Sure she looks cute now... I hope she won't regret it when she's in her 30s or 40s. But, then again, there would always be surgery to do whatever it is she likes to do to her face or body. I understand enhancing your beauty, but sometimes some women are so into it, it's already become an unhealthy obsession.

I really dont understand. Make up is acceptable. I know their eyes are make up only. But what about their disproportionate body? Right, hope they wont regret it. And I hope they have their families and friends that will support them forever. Because I dont know if there's a chance to change it if they dont want it already.

Cliff Richard had a best selling song which went 'I've got a walking, talking, crying, sighing living doll' it was top of the pops. I cannot understand why any thinking girl wants to become a living doll. But again, 'doll' is another word for girlfriend in America, so it is our fault if we buy the records and respond to the name.
Perhaps if girls had equal (I mean really equal) chances as the boys then maybe they would be aspire to become more than a Barbie. They may see value in themselves without looking at their reflection in the eyes of some unenlightened boy. If boys want dolls let them buy them in the toy shops and give the girls encouragment to grow up.

For some nationalities, I don't see in that way. I've seen some foreign people look like barbies. On the other hand, some used to go for cosmetic surgery to make their eyes bigger than usual.
