Multiple discussions

I know that posting multiple discussions here in mylot is really good and will earn you that much. Once I tried to post three discussions at the same time and get a lot of response and really earns me a lot. However, got a hard time in making comments to the response. I usually post comment back on the responses I received to give appreciation on their views and ideas. It really took me three days to comment on all of the response I received (I am not full time here in mylot) which I really enjoyed. How about you mylotters, how do you manage to comment on all the response you got from your discussions especially when you post multiple discussion in a single day. Good day mylotters.

My discussions are rare, I try to respond on any one elses before considering to make one unless I am just in the mood to make a discussion. I always respond back until everything has been said with each person (I can't think of what else to respond to them down the line) or I don't understand what they mean or I think the comment/response will be deleted for some reason. I will keep responding until I've reached each one on the discussion. It may take awhile but I know each of those will be rewarding hopefully in more discussion and also hopefully in what I will earn for that in money.

I too, seldom post discussions here. I alo replied back to the comments by other mylotters to give them sense of aprreciation. I just made comment on what they said which sometimes makes the discussion much longer.

I think some really don't make any response after giving a comment on their respond. Perhaps, they are just in your discussion to add something and will not mind if you are going to reply back.

Long discussions are alright and even if they stray from the topics at hand nothing wrong with that either. We'll be rewarded for lengthening these discussions no matter how long. It is encouraged to do so and I always try to respond back but others may nto come back at all to see what I said. They are missing out on their part of the conversation.

I do not post topics that frequently but whatever responses I receive I comment on each and every one of them. Just a clarification and that is one does not earn on the responses received but on the comments that are made on the responses received.

allknowing: thanks for telling again that we earn for not for responses received but for the reply comments made by us on our discussions. Incidentally -- nowadays we are not receiving notification (email) for best responses selected but a few are being put on the mylot page. I accidentally went through my best responses and was surprised to find many of my friends have given best responses for mine. If I had been informed I would have added further comments and also thanked them. are you receiving email for best responses selected out of responses posted by you.

I do not receive notifications for BRs but I hardly receive them anyway! There is no need for notifications as we can always go to our 'best responses' sortie on our home page occasionally to check.

No, I have not been receiving notifications on BR received either. I just check 'my best responses' list regularly to see if there is anything new there. You're right, without the notifications they are easily missed by us to note the BR timely...

"Do u earn when you reply to the responses too.Didn't know that lols." That is the only way that you earn. Tiy do NOT earn for the responses that others post. They eanr for those. YOU earn for your own efforts here, not those of others. I type, I earn. YOU type, YOU earn!

@coolimrose: mysdianait is right, you will earn here by posting discussions and making comments on the responses you earn for a discussion. If you don;t participate in the discussion and just posted a discussion, I somewhat thought that you are not going to earn.

I do as much as I can, but I don`t take mylot as a place to earn money but as a site where I`m having fun. I will not answer something I am not interested in just to earn one more cent. I have never posted over than 3 discussions at the most in one day and if a friend of mine posts 20 discussions I might choose one to answer.

You got a point, this is not a place just to earn. In my case, at first my goal is to earn but as I go along, exchanging views is the most important. I just wonder why there are many members in my friends list that posted discussion every now and then.

Hi asdomencil! Upon assessment of my previous actions, I came up with the plan that my first priority when I log in to my account is to make a reply to those who make responses with my discussions and I am implementing this plan for a month's time. There are times that I could create several discussions but that is only if I am not very busy. And yes, most of the time, I spent my whole time with myLot on replying my friends. But I am happy because I know that my discussions get more responses than I expected. Have a nice day!

Same with you, when I logged in to mylot, I checked my discussions if there are new response. I also look at my email first so that I can really track what discussion has new response. I think those person that used to post many discussion at a time here are those really full time in mylot. Unlike me, who has a work and only made response during my break time.

I usually post another when the first one has been resolved. Its hard to make comments and response back when posted multiple discussions at a time. And that cause me a bit stressed especially when I received a ton of responses. So it takes time for me to post another.

@endlessbound; It is really hard to manage posting response on the comments you received on your discussion. I just make discussion of at most two per posting for a week. @ravisivan: you are right, sometimes you are going to post the wrong response on a particular comment since you are commenting simultaneously.

your idea is good. further we get confusion as to which discussion we are posting reply comments.

I have always made an effort to maintain a discussion that I have started, otherwise it is simply a post and would not be a discussion. As you say it can take up quite a portion of the time you spend at Mylot, but assuming that you have started a discussion which you consider interesting then it should seem like time well spent. I have never found it too demanding because I do not create a large quantity of discussions at the same time. In fact, I never try very hard to think of a discussion but wait until something that I consider worthwhile occurs to me.

You are right, having a very nice discussion will really spent much time. If you caught interest of many members, you really need to earn that much, you need to spent time in responding to your started discussion.

I have mylotting days. So, when I push the pedal to the metal with regard to mylotting, I am preparing myself for the engagement. I am happy to see the responses and will spend all my mylotting time responding, commenting, and posting discussions. I hope you are able to mylot better by understanding that you really can take your time. Sometimes I wait forever for a response or comment, and you can always go back to past discussions to see if you missed someone's response or comment. Just take your time and make time when you can.

It is up to you to give yourself adequate time to mylot conveniently. I know I have to give myself time in between my daily duties and choose the days I have the most free time.

I used to have about an hour every morning here in mylot to make response to some discussions especially to those I started. Durign breaktime, I also used to peek the time here and check any updates.

You are right, I just visit mylot during my lunch break at work or when I got a free time at home during weekends and night time. Just like what you said, posting comments and response on the discussions consumes time.

hi asdomencil I hope you actually made a comment not just thanks for the response.read the guidelines if you have not as my lot admins stated do not just thank people as we don't pay for that. you must actually say something about the response to get paid for it.also I do not make multiple discussions in one day as I get a lot of responses and must make good comments back. you do not get paid for our responses at all.you type you get paid I type I get paid. I do all the comments I cah while I am o n there then come back next day to finish but do not just make d isucssions as they do not earn you much unless you do comment back on the discussions.I do not thank people but give them valid comments to show I read their responses.

Hatley aunty: Your ability of expressing ideas is really nice. not all of us can afford to do like that. of course your point that we should give detailed responses in very useful for all members. I give reply comments for all responses received. Nowadays 3 out of ten responses I made and comments received i give again reply comment.

I used to post a lot of discussion in a day here in MyLot too. I actually get to post more than 5 discussions until I had to become busy in school. I don't have the time enough to respond to people's comments anymore as much as I did but I'm starting anew right now. One advice I can give though, only to post enough discussions that you can handle and track in a day--Like, less than 10 discussions. Hope you're having fun. Have a nice day!
• Philippines
13 Oct 12
Yes, I do post discussions at most three per day. Just like you said, it is really hard to manage too many discussions in a day especially when you have busy schedules. Another tip I can give is to list down all the possible discussions you want to post here and just post them every other day or just like what you said, what you can handle a day because accumulated response really takes time to comment on them if your goal is to comment every respond you received.

Starting multiple discussions (all at the same time, not contributing to any other discussions) ... sounds to me like the behavior of one who feels that their own topics are more-important than the topics of anyone else ... a little self-centered, selfish, greedy; no?
• Philippines
13 Oct 12
I think that is alright. That is not being greedy. If you really not interesed in making response to other discussion is all right as long aas you have enough response to comment on your discussion. Right now, because of my busy schedule, I haven't got enough time to response to other's discussions since I am focused on my own discussions.

asdomencil good point. a few members start five to ten discussions on one day. What I will do I will select at random one or two of those. I will go through., If I am confident i will post responses. Otherwise there may be discussions which i am capable of but i would have omitted. this is the problem starting more discussions at one time. They do not give reply comments for all responses received. I start one per day and I answer all responses received without fail.

You are right, some mylotters posted more enough I wonder how they are going to manage such number of discussions especially when there are lot of members attracted to such discussion.

I have taken three weeks to get to a discussion and it was not because I didnt want to give a comment. It was because those were the days that worked from 6 am to almost 9 pm. I loved working those hours but I didnt like neglecting my myLot friends. I really like to get to a discussion quick because I want others to know that I am a guy who likes to be on the ball. I have also posted 2 discussions in the same day, and spent so much time on one I forgot the other.

I think posting at two or three discussions here for a person like you who have been busy in work and get back here in mylot duringtheir spare time is alright. Like mine, I used to be here every morning and during break times. You got a point that posting a lot of discussions here can smewhat make you forget others to respond.

I rarely post discussions and haven't tried to post multiple discussions in a day. I read discussions and post comments on all discussions I find interesting. I also comment back whenever possible. Wherever I post a topic for discussion, I see to it that I replied back to all the comments and opinions I received.
• Philippines
13 Oct 12
That is what I am trying to do too. I made a point that I have to reply back in every response I received from other mylotters. This is not just to earn but to show appreciation on their contribution to my posted discussions.
• Philippines

That is absolutely correct. There are some memebers here in mylot that used to post many discussions as they can but they did not have a time to response to the comments they received.

That's my point too. Discussion to be meaningful must be a sharing or exchanging of ideas, opinions and beliefs. I can't see no point in just posting a topic for discussion and then leave all responses hanging.

Personally there are times I would love to start more discussions than I start. But like you said you need to have time to respond back to all of them. I know about lack of time but I do like to read and respond back in all of them. To me being able to read all the interesting responses and respond back makes this site totally worth while.

I never start 20 discussions on the same day, but I sometimes start 3 or 4 discussions on the same day if I feel that I have a lot of things that I want to share or topics that I want to discuss. It often takes me several days or weeks to comment on the responses and I still have discussions from the past where I didn't manage to comment on all of the responses yet, but I will get back to those discusssions in the future. It is my goal to comment on every single response even if it will take me a lot of time, but I really commenting and talking to the people who have responded.

This is also my goal. as much as possible I tried to response to all response which makes me rarely post several discussions a day. Having at most 2 or 3 discussions is enough for me especially if there are many response by other mylotters.

Well, to ensure that I can manage to get through all responses is- to start a single discussion a day. I don't the habit of starting multiple discussion in a day to avoid such issues. I want to respond/comment back to every responses as much as possible- so, the best thing to do is start a single topic. Thu, there is nothing wrong to start multiple topic, but for me, a single topic is better so I can inter-act with other mylotters or give more time to inter-act with them.

Saem here, sometimes, having too much discussions per day is really difficult to manage especially when there are many response. It is hard for us if our goal is to make comment on each response you received. You are definitely right, you can also make enugh focus on your response if you only have a single topic there. Multiple topics sometimes makes mixed ideas and ending into a senseless comments.

Commenting back on the responses we get from our discussion is one of the ways that we can earn here. That is why we really have to comment back with the best comment that we can rather than just saying thank you. We have to think and try to make a discussion so the flow will go on therefore more earnings for you as well.
• Philippines
13 Oct 12
You are right, we does not earn in just posting discussion but what can earn you here is when you caught the interest of many and will make response in your discussion where you are going to make sensible comments. Just like what they said, the more you participate here the more you are going to earn.

To start multiple discussion is not big deal but to respond back (comment) on all responses on your discussion is big thing. I can start 50 discussions in a day. Because I write a topic in my register whenever my mind think any topic but I not starting more discussion in a day because I know comment back is very hard job.
• Philippines
13 Oct 12
Just like what you said, that can be another tip. Just keep on listing any idea that will come into your mind and post only the number of discussions you can manage daily. Like you, I can have more discussions but for us that ensures to comment on the response we received, it is really hard task. I just wonder how others, who posted discussion every minute, manage their discussion. Perhaps, they haven't earn lot response in their senseless discussion.

well for me i'm learning new ways here. If I've got new discussions i try to respond it as much as I can. Usually I can response all the replies for 24 hours duration after that I can check again the next 24 hours so to see if it has still responses. Honestly I can't respond them all as I can't monitor my discussions all the time.
• Philippines
13 Oct 12
I think not having comment on the response you received within 24 hours is alright. You can have your comments even after few days. For us who really ensures giving comment in every single response is hard to have mutiple discussion.
