I lead my life very relax nowadays but when I was small everything is rushing, to school, to tuition, music class, everywhere and everything I did is too much. Just this year, I began to relax a bit cos maybe I am getting mature, and one thing to celebrate is that my savings has increase, I have calculated that I will get around 20 thousand when I am 55 years old, this make me feel secure and relax and I decide now I will not work for money but for passion, I don't need much everyday use just USD5. So I will still work but not so rush like before. What is your lifestyle? Are you working all the time and do not have time for yourself? Your say.

For most people, money makes the world go round. The rich just want to be richer while the poor strives to survive and dream of being rich, thus the relentless effort to earn does not cease. Some people earn through hard work while others through crime and injustice as long as it's the easy way. When I thought about it, I realized how simple life would be if one only gets his/her basic needs, but I guess ambition have to ruin it for everyone, or most of us. We aim for better things, better lifestyle and all. I am happy that you are able to live your life in this manner you descried now, just relax and contented.

choybel, I like to live everything in modest except when mylotting, I have to stay in front of the computer for hours. I feel that I must do things at my own ability not above my ability so I will not own debts.

Hey there wong!
That's great that you have calculated your future...in the financial aspect I may say.
I am a mom of a boy at 6. I guess, I have to work as hard as I could. I make use of any available time that I have to make money. I am an office worker during the day and I do online jobs at night. It's kinda busy but I never lose the chance to find time for myself with friends. I sometimes go out with friends to chill out and relax. Drinking a little, enough to put me to sleep and wake up rested the next day.
People who work more than 8 hours a day need some time to relax. Often times, we have the tendency to absorb the stress and tension from work. If we cannot discharge this from our systems, we would not be able to start the next day right.
For me, it is very essential to take a break and smell the flowers in the garden every once in a while.

You are right! Working more than 8 hours a day have 100% of tendency to absorb tension and stress, I found that last time when I was working in an office, I can't have a good night sleep. Very often the reason is I can't get away from stress as much as possible. Plus having a child means I have one more vital responsibility, I can't afford to miss them, watching my child grows. Once in a while, everyone should get away for a vacation to relax.

Hi,
Nice move there, to save while possible. Seems it eludes me how to do it, for now. If I could have your method, I would gladly do it. The nearest thing to investing for the future I am doing now is for my two children have a good education to let them make their own future. That way, I am confident to see them someday on their own, and hopefully, provide for their families as well.

Yeah, I save when I was just 7 years old, everyday I will put 20 cents or 10 cents into the piggy bank, some are use sometimes, but most of it I put it and it stays at that way, until when I am working I able to save more for rainy days.

You are quite an amazing person to have sat down and calculated your future like that. Remember though that this is just a calculation and dependant on things staying the same for all the years until you are 55. At present people I know who had everything sorted out are now taking a drop in their salaries, having their pensions cut back and watching the cost of living rise.
It is good that you are relaxing now and enjoying yourself a lot more, we all have to live a little more and work a little less if we can.

Yes, the calculation is based on my perception that if I am not getting marry, I can use all the money for myself, infact I do not plan to marry a guy who cannot afford to give me a comfortable life, let just say normal, a place to stay and food to eat.

Right now I don't have a job and spends most of my time online looking for online jobs, so I can say I'm just sedentary most of the time. But I still don't have that much time for myself, I can only spend a little time alone for myself because I already have a baby to take care of.

I admire those people who are married and still work, wow...they got a lot of energy, however if I am marry someday, I will just do something I like as a hobby not to take a toll on my health doing jobs I don't like.

In the mad race to earn money, most of us loose perspective on why we are earning money. Money is very important to enjoy the luxuries of life. In fact a totally sedentary life is a life wasted. However, beyond a point money has no purpose and if one works to earn more and more they are defeating the very purpose of earning.
I try to work for passion as far as possible, but this is not always possible as a passion that does not pay adequately is not a profession but a hobby. What I do is calculate the amount I need to live a decent life, double that amount for contingencies and the unexpected and stop working when I reach there. It is after hard toil that one can really enjoy a sedentary life.
