Look at the skies...there are lots of stars...

In my new place now, I cannot stares up on the sky. That's the scenario I missed while living in the province. I am here in Manila and it seems not a good place to look up the sky. In Middle East also you cannot see any stars during evening. It's because of the light shining upward.

Your post reminds me that I don't do stargazing as much as I would like to. While it's not impossible to do here in the city, I think I'd wait till I get back to yhe province so I can lie on the best spot and see as much stars as I can count. I'd even borrow my brother's big telescope which I have dismissed as trivial all this time to get a closer look...

when i'm writing this response,.it's already afternoon in my plaxe. it is a quarter to four p.m, so i cant enjoy watching stars rite now. just like you i also enjoy watching stars in tge sky. they look so near but they are so far far away. sky is always mystery for me. but it never stops me to enjoy sky at night. i think the best time we can enjoy star is in dry season. the sky will be very clear and all stars are showing themselves. as I read in an article, there are millions stars in the sky. it is only in Milkyway galaxy. we dont count the stars in Andromeda or Magellan galaxy. i then imagine how large universe is cos as we know that the distance among stars are so far away. it could reach years in light speed. human intelligence couldnt catch this knowledge. then i realize that God is really really almighty. i also realize how small we are compared with the universe. we're like a dust in the wind.

Seeing stars in the clear night sky is relaxing i think, and yeah i agree with deeeky, sometime i wonder are there people too in other planets in other star system, look upon they night sky and look to the stars which there is our star (Sun) they looking and wondering the same thing.

Yes I saw that, I was up late last night. i looked out my living room window. Was so clear and I saw so many stars. Such a great view it was. Have a great week there. Hope to see you here soon.

I like staying outside during night time when the sky is clear and I could see the stars. Oh... memories is flooding me... those times when I was still in the province, when life was not complicated yet and all I have were my dreams. I used to look at the skies at night and whisper my wishes upon the stars. hahaha. Oh childish dream... there is no more beautiful to remember than our childish dreams. Last night, hubby told me that the moon was looking great outside our window, and indeed it looked great. I like skies, I like stars. Those heavenly bodies reminds me of how great is our God and how beautiful is His creations. I wish that the weather tonight will still be good so that I could see the moon and stars again. It is lovely indeed staring at them. They refreshes my mind and the reminds me that there is still hope in the world. Thanks for sharing your discussion and happy mylotting.

During the winter the sky is rarely clean enough to see the stars.

I find looking at the night sky very therapeutic. It really makes me feel so relaxed, brings some peace especially after a day of hard work. I too have noticed that it was almost a cloudless sky, with stars very visible. I hope in the coming weeks, especially near Christmastime, these shining stars would be visible :)

During summer nights, me and my kids use to drive somewhere mostly on parks where we can spend sometime for bonding. We always look at the sky and watch the stars. I use to tell them stories about falling stars and the beliefs of wishing once you saw a falling star. But of course- I can't fool my kids anymore about falling stars.

I can't see a lot of stars from where I am now. I am in the center of the city and the lights here are too many. When there are a lot of lights around you, it's very hard to see the stars.

Hello ardoy! :) It's been a long while since I last looked up and stare at the sky. Well, I just came to see if there were stars, I found few, not so many as usual when I look up before. The moon was half way lit. As if like the smile on lol emticon here..., that's what the shape of the moon here now... It does feel great to see so many stars shining brightly at night. Feels like there are lots out there who is watching over you and telling you, you can make it through...

Hi ardoy, i am here in our terrace right now but i envy you because you can the stars. It's been along time that i do not see the stars in the sky but by this coming weekend i am hoping to see them since i am going out of town with my husband.

I have been my current city for more than 8 years but I never seen dense stars in the sky,just very few one,the weather of my city is OK but the problem is the air is too bad due to the heavy industry,everything will have a price,in order to the rapid develop,my city sacrifice its air,and the people live here do not have a good healthy body,so I think that my city need to change this absolutely.
