It's almost the end of my shift when I felt very dizzy. I don't know why. I have never been like this before even if I don't really have a good sleep. It's like the world is turning round so fast. My vision became blurred. I can't focus much on the calls. I suppose to say Im hungry but I was not. I was thinking maybe i was having a hypotension. So just after my shift ends. I rushed to the clinic, asked the nurse on duty to check my blood pressure-it was just normal.. Maybe i just really need a good sleep. Ive been sleepless this week because of the schedule. Lately im becoming sickly. It's not good..tssk!!

So you must be working in a BPO Company? What you felt could be common among those people working on call centers because of the lack of sleep and also having the graveyard shifts. I once worked on a known International Bank as a Customer Service Representative and have mostly worked on graveyard shifts. I would be coming in at 9am. I would feel sleepy by 12 midnight, so in order for me to stay awake, I had to take coffee. Sometimes, I think I have consumed about 4 cups in one shift. By the time I get home at 6am, I could not make myself fall asleep! I'd feel sleep just a few hours before I need to prep myself for the next shift. So basically, the feeling of dizziness would often come.

Actually, I gave up on that job coz I didn't ant to sacrifice my health no matter how much I was earning from it and even if I was enjoying the kind of job I was doing. I guess not everyone could really work on that kind of job no matter how much you might be needing something just to earn.

It's really hassle at trimes. It can be detrimental if you really do not know how to manage your time. But so far im good now especially that our shift already change to 4 or 5am in the morning. A lot better now.

Yes I am Jenny.. yeah it was only because I was sleepless for a week then. It was just a maater of sleep.. Hmm 4 cups of coffee would really be too much. It will keep you alert during the shift but later on it will makes you feel groggy and like what you've said, you will be having hard time sleeping later on In cases like this, you really just have to sleep atleast 8 hrs. It will keep you alert even though you are on a graveyard shift. A glass of milk and a lukewarm bath can help you fall asleep.

I use to get this when I worked the midnight shift. I was just exhausted and wore out from the shift. I hope you got a nice sleep, and felt better when you woke up.

Thanks a lot Ricki.. Good thing our schedule already changed. I can sleep better now. My shift now starts at 4 o'clock or 5 o'clock in the morning so I can sleep better no and feel energized everyday.

eiram: Sleep deprivation could cause dizziness, but so could so many other things. If you wear glasses, and they do not fit correctly, it will cause your vision to be blurry, which in turn leads to dizziness. Are dizziness and blurred vision your only symptoms so far? I strongly suggest that if after you have eaten a good healthy meal, and gotten a good nights sleep the symptoms don't go away, then you should consult a doctor. As I said, there are many conditions that could cause the symptoms you have. Whatever it is, I pray that it is nothing major and that you feel better really soon.

Thanks for the concern deedee:). I bet it was just because I was deprived from sleep. I still have a normal vision so far based from my last physical exam. It only happened that day. When I arrived home, I took a nap and afterwards, Im feeling better:)

Hi eiram23, If your health has been good so far and your dizzy symptom is just appearing it may be a case of benign paroxymal positional vertigo disorder or BPPV for short. People suffering from this condition will feel dizzy, unbalanced and sometimes nauseous. Go and see a doctor and have yourself checked for BPPV disorder. If it's indeed BPPV it can be treated by some simple exercise. Have a nice day.

Hi there.. It wasn't actually due to BPPV. I was just really sleepless for a week so my body can't overcome it anymore..When I arrived home , I just took a nap afterwards I felt better. But thanks;)

My dear friend, even if we used not having a good sleep; we still need to rest. It could also be stress or lack of oxygen in the brain. You can go to an open air to have fresh air.
