By the time a child is 3 they should already have been potty trained and as far as a bottle they shouldn't need one any more shortly after their 1st birthday except for maybe when they are going to bed at night. I think it's laziness on the parents part.
It the child is a special needs child well that's a different story.

I honestly don't believe it is based on different countries when it comes to teaching our children the basics of drinking from a cup to going to the bathroom on a toilet. It depends on each parent in how much they want to spend teaching the child. If life has them working 24/7 they depend on a day care to teach their children. Not all day cares will take that responsibility.
Those of us that took time to teach our children from the time they were born new things day after day feel that seeing something like that is horrible. Yet, my youngest I tried to potty train her from 2 yrs on. She would not and did not until she was 4 and no today she is doing just fine. Very smart young lady going to college and working as a nanny. That being said, not all parents are lazy, some work with the child for when they are ready to learn that control. Oh by the way my youngest threw her bottle away at about nine months.. she wanted to be like the rest of us at the table.

Well, there are lots of lazy mothers here in america also. I agree with you that being those ages are way too long for wearing diapers and drinking a bottle. I also think there are people that have their kids at least on a bottle longer then 4 years old.

Same thing is happening in my country India as well. Not only laziness is the factor, every one is running after money. I can seen many moms in India going to work just after two months of baby birth. These moms wont get sufficient time to look after their babies. I thing it will be nice if the government give some grants to moms at least for six months so that they can sit at home and take care of their baby rather than going to office. What do you think?

You have a point there. But not the case here. The 2 mothers I see, sit at home all day and do nothing but feed their faces. They need to take care and teach these kids something.

I think you are right. They have no excuse not to teach their kids.

I have a baby but I'll wait till she gets two years old till i teach her things but not now, she's too young for that I think. What I'm doing is making her familiar with things so that it is easier for me to let her do things on her own. She actually know how to brush her teeth :)
As for now I enjoying every moment that I have with my baby. I don't have friends whose children are like though. We help/remind each other about things concerning our babies.

Oh, it is the same in the US, except many preschools require that your child be out of diapers before they can attend. That is a motivation to get it done. I have known children who were given pacifiers clear up until they were in grade school, when they were with their parents. On the other hand the manufacturers of disposable diapers promote putting "pull ups" and other paper underwear on kids older and older. It makes money for them. Formula companies tell you how good the nutrition is in their formulas. Many parents are working, moms and dads both and they just do not notice the cues that tell them that their "baby" is ready to be more mature. If we had to all use cloth diapers there would be a lot of trained children a lot sooner.

Here in the part of the place where I live, babies under two years old usually wear diapers. As to baby bottles, it depends on when they have learned how to use a cup. We parents teach them how to use them. It might be a habit of the parents. Take care.

Yes, something is wrong with them. Those kids are out of control at 3-4 years old. parents need to teach them better.

It is not restricted to your country alone. It has all to do with the mother of the child who has no patience to potty train her child. Sometimes children themselves can be difficult to handle as it happened to my neighbour who has now settled in the US. She had come down on holiday. The child would simply refuse the potty and himself open the box and pick up the diaper asking the mother to put it on him!

Hi friend, here also we can find this kind of babies. Some babies are smart enough and learn the things easily, where as some babies take time to give up this kind of habit, even some babies are adamant and want baby bottle even though they know to take milk in the cup. Blaming mother is not a solution for this thing. Mother's must give her utter most and change the kids, as well as the kids must be smart enough as well as interested to know new things

That's very funny or may be I can say very strange if we see a baby 3-4 years old drink a baby bottle. I think their mother have told to their baby but the baby don't want to let go their lovely baby bottle. I like to see a cute baby drinking baby bottle but if she/he reach 3-4 years old and still drink baby bottle..wooww..wait a second..

It also happens here in the Philippines. Sometimes it is even worse. You will even get to see kids around the highways begging money. Children bringing their younger brother as young as 1 years old just to make people feel that they need to give money.

Ohhh God really this is true till 3 to 4 years child wear diapers no here only till 2 years wear the diapers. Then child habits and they say their mother when they needs to go toilet and drink the milk from glass not from bottle.
