I think that the internet is very important, to the point where on the news you would see statistics on people who would give up things for a year of the internet.. I'd give up coffee (I don't drink coffee) I use the internet often. I read the online news to get caught up with real life, watch internet videos to entertain myself, and go on MyLot and possibly other forums to contemplate about my life and how things are generally going.. If internet were to be removed from my life, I'd probably know what to do, though it wouldn't be an easy transition as it's been with me since its 256k modem age. (I currently use DSL) How about you? :D

If the internet will be not be accessible, I will feel bad and disappointed. I don't want to look hypocrite, but in some country they can survive without the services like this. Good day!

I agree that, surprising though it may seem, some countries can survive without the variety of internet services that we enjoy. It would be interesting to compare the use of internet by the various age groups. I'm one of the oldies and I use it between one or two hours a day, it depends, because I use for various things. I love to be in instant contact with my family and friends and it is even better if I can see them at the same time, but this does not happen every day of the week. I enjoy writing so if i am writing an article then I need to research it via the internet and then I have to write it and put it on a site somewhere. In this case I may be on the computer all the morning. Until my body says 'enough' - my head always says the opposite. So I have a little civil war going on inside where the internet is concerned. It is a big plus in my life, but it can also be a minus because it tends to be addictive and there is a life to be lived after closing it down.

Internet is pretty much part of my everyday life. Before going to work I log in to the internet and when I reach home opening my computer and logging on to the internet is the first thing that I do. Even when I'm sleeping I leave my computer connected to the internet. I've experienced loosing my internet connection several times already and it is unbearable!

I too use Internet quite a lot at times- but not more than 2 to 3 hours at a stretch. I have lots of other activities to do at home too. I use Mylot and a few more sites at times. At other times, I check my mails. I think, if it is removed from my life, I would be initially impacted. I would sometimes think that I am missing Internet. However, after some time, I would get used to it.

Basically, everyone in this modern society relays on Internet very much. I can not live without Internet. It's hard to image this situation. Many things and stuffs are completed by the computer and Internet. Receiving Email, paying bills, watching news, keeping touch with our friends and family online are necessary for me. It goes without saying that working with Internet. I have to access to Internet to search lots of information that is related to my job or study. I spend almost 8 to 9 hours using Internet. Besides, I am not live in my own country now, so I have to contact with my Dad or Mon via Skype. Without Internet, I guess that I could not do anything. It's really IMPORTANT for me!!

I was slow to start liking the Internet in 1999. In my first year of teaching I bought my own computer in a half price computer for teachers deal. I did this to learn about how to teach computing to my class of children. By 2002 I was competent in a computer suite. In the years 2003 to 2005 I got very much into using the Internet. I was sad not to be able to have broadband Internet in the village of Bridge. I moved in 2005 to a different area and was delighted I could get broadband Internet. I joined wonderful My Lot in 2007 and it was one of the best things I have ever done. I use the Internet every day for around three to five hours a day. I love the Internet and adore spending time using it on my laptop. I like sending and receiving emails. I wouldn't stop using the Internet now I am so very keen on it. I can quickly find out anything using the Internet search key. Wow!

I used internet for my online earning and working, beside that i used for social networking and promote my product.9 hours a day is depends on how busy you are. There are people who work till 10-15 hours a day,and people who work only 1-2 hours a day with internet. It depends on what kind of work and used for.I used everyday for 5-6 hours,i have a schedule for that.If internet remove from my life,i have no problem with that,i am still can doing other thing with my offline business.

I think the answer is quite clear. Internet is very crucial to all of us especially who job have much to do with it. You cannot imagine a international business company is running without the access to the Internet. For me, I cannot stand it too. I am working with the help with Internet. Without Internet the work cannot be done. Also, I use internet a lot after work. Thus I will freak out without the access to the Internet.

The internet is a big part in my life. I don't have work right now and I don't go to a normal school so I'm on the internet practically the whole day. From the moment I wake up which is about 7 o'clock in the morning til' may 11 or 12 in the evening and sometimes more than that. There's this one(or two) time(s) and our internet got disconnected for a week and I got all crazy in the head because of 'withdrawals', you can say. So it's safe to say that the internet is pretty important to me.

Thank you for this topic my friend. I am fun of internet. If it will be taken away form me then I guess I'll feel bad about it, but I don't think I will lose my mind though. But internet is great. So i really hope that thing won't happen.

It is right up there with food, water, and shelter! When I am traveling, that's the first accommodation I look for! I use it for at least a few hours every day...now using mylot, chatting with friends/family in other countries, watching videos, etc. When I can't access the Internet, I get really annoyed!
