I don't need to be in an office to type on a computer to have my work be legit. I work from home and make less money but it is still a job!
I have been bored and unorganized so I decided in the beginning of this year to start working from home. I got organized and took all my ideas and knowledge down on paper. Now I am blogging and vlogging. I also work from home doing little things and I enjoy it. My earnings are based on my time used on the work and not a 9 to 5 where I could stare at my feet and still get an hourly wage. I have done that and I get bored. The a/c makes me cold! And sick from the recycled air!
Do you work from home? Have you been given heck for working from home?

Good luck on finding more income. I am glad myLoyt pays half of the internet bill. That is something and is good. That means you spend sometime to myLot. I consider myLot fun, I have yet to get a pay out and it would be a nice bonus too. Some day...:)

Once I tried to earn from online and resigning my offline job to look after my kids. But nothing worked, the only thing I got, I found mylot. Yes, I have earned some money from mylot but not sufficient for my needs as the cost of living is high in this place. May be I am not that much efficient one to earn enough through online. Still I wish, I could sit at home, take care of the studies of my kids well, but looking on the expenditure for the studies and other things, I am not brave enough to leave my offline job. We cannot enjoy both freedoms at one time.

Unless you really dedicate a certain amount of time to inline earning than you will not earn well. Think about it, in a 9 to 5 you are basically chained to a des and a slave to the boss so that work gets done. At home you have the freedom to not be imprisoned. I take the time my youngest is napping and after bedtime to crank in at least 2 hours of work each time and most days
I do. Other days I catch up on housework, have mommytime, or organize. So I am working less than parttime in actuality. The time put in will effect your earnings. If I worked an outside job, the cost of daycare and transportation would surpass my earnings so I stay at home for now.

It is a good idea to work from home. I do not work from home. I work in a office and it is a 9 to 5 job and I love it. I feel working from home could be convenient for women who need to look after their home and family besides working.

Not only as a mother but even as I was a student, working from home made sense. I was always studying and needed something to help with the costs of my studies. I really do appreciate the online resources and business owners as well. I hope to grow my business as well.

I am also working at home at this moment.
I have been working with companies for long long years and now I am giving myself a break.
Yes, I understand the battle when working in a company- where we need to deal with the boss and other colleagues.
Not to mention the rush hour commuting going back and forth- the stress and deadline.
Well- I admit that working at home and earning from different sites doesn't give me the same salary that I am earning while I am working with companies- but, what matters now is, I am happy and contented with what I am doing without the pressure and satisfying the company.

working from home is an ideal way to make money for mother's who are restricted by having to look after small children. This way they can make a space for themselves to think, earn a little money and have an interest as well. And they can work this around the children. Also in these times it is better to earn less than to earn nothing at all. I admore everyone who does something rather than to sit down and grumble. A job should bring at least some pleasure into our lives.

I know I am a stay at home mom that works every so often. :) I really wish I was a work at home mother that made the same as a 9 to 5 but I don't right now since we are so busy. I really do not like office politics either and enjoy the flex time for my babies :)

Hi Tanglddreams,
I work from home now. I am working as virtual assistant for someone overseas. It pays per hour and earns good enough. I think if you are determined, you will finally find the way.
You are right, you don't have to in the office to have your work legit.. :) Good luck, friend.. :)

I don't have a job right now so I am earning online but not enough to make it decent or worthwhile. I'm trying my best with a few different sites but I'm not making much. If I could even make $50 a day I'd be happy. But yes I am judged for trying to make a living at home and not having a "proper job" and it's really annoying

It can be, some people are really good at networking and making money online even if it's enough to cover the bills monthly. I need to learn how to do that but it's not as easy for me.
Ohh and yes two year olds aren't the most stimulating whenit comes to conversations

Thank you. You don't know how much I appreciate this bit of adult conversation after talking with a toddler all day. I really do. I know networking is basically being nice, sharing your knowledge, connections and contact information for me. Nothing too difficult and I try to do it everyday to expand my world.
I love meeting new people all over the world when I am online especially other moms. I find people close I can work with and I find people far I can learn from or even teach the bit of thing I know.
I cover what I feel I need to in order to pull my weight and do my part in our family. I know it is harder on

Different people have different opinions. I believe it is based on circumstance. I believe I am more expanded than I was just three years ago in my networking and that makes me more able to make money at home. If of course I stayed to myself and never conversed, I would be less likely to make money. I enjoy people who enjoy people :) I need adult convo after being in a convo with a two year old all day.... :)

I have been tempted to try this a few times, but I never actually started working from home. I would imagine that there would be benefits and issues related to working from home. It would certainly save me from having to travel to work on very cold or rainy days, and would also allow me to make appointments without having to actually take time off work. On the down side it would probably be too tempting for me to stay in bed a little longer, so I would end up working late into the evening.

We have many kinds of weather here in New York. We have all kinds of things that go wrong with younger children. A lot of people do it but it causes so much stress. I will not put my family through so much stress.

I totally agree! I work from home and they are both legit jobs and I actually do make money! My first job is doing legal, corporate and mediccal transcription, which I have been doing for 5 years. I love it because I have a lot of flexibility. It may not pay as much as having an out-of-home career; however, in many ways I come out ahead because I am not spending money on gas, childcare for 4 young children, or taking off when they are sick. My other business that I have recently started is helping people save money on their cell phone bills by introducing them to a new cell phone company that gives you the opportunity to get free service and/or make extra money! That is a very legit business as well. But it is all done from home and I set my own schedule! I love the fact that I can just arrange my schedule for spontaneous things and I don't have a boss dictating how much time off I get.

Well, as long as you are enjoying your work I think there is no problem with that. You are your own boss and that is certainly great. I have worked in a company for 13 years, it was not a boring job since our job is to respond to emergencies. I have worked there for 13 years. But I resigned from work since I know that comes a time, i will be old and will no longer be able to do job well. Now, I worked on my own, I am my own boss. I find it also great since I make my own decisions and is aonly answerable to myself. I also do some online earnings but more of just a hobby. Life is good, life is great and it is all up to you how make it better.

I am a student and hence I spent all my spare time in earning from internet.I spend most of time here in mylot and in a a few article writing sites. Each and every day,I plan to work for the required amount, but it does not get that way.I get bored soon enough and get off my work in the middle.Foe example,if I plan to earn some 30 cents in mylot today,I end up in finishing only 15 cents.I wonder how some guys in mylot sit altogether for 6-7 hours. It is indeed a difficult job.

Yo, Tangleddreams!
I'm now getting into the haggle of working from home online. I love it! I'm not pressured in the actual workplace like we all have been all our lives! True, I'm not making the bank with all the money some people are making $5000 in twenty minutes...it does take time and to make those goals, I have to personally hustle! But yes, a little money is better than no money! Keep doing what you do!

Well I would like to be like you someday. But for now, I am still holding on to my 9-5 work since the earnings is still much bigger than what I am earning online. But I am continously looking for alternative online earnings so that I could at least lessen my tranpo expense from going through work and back home.

I am glad that the amount of income you make online is enough to keep your daily wages up to a certain level so this is the only work you have to do. I tried for years to earn on line more than $100 each month and never been able to. I would very much appreciate if you could share with us, or just email me privately as personal links are not aloud in here...I am going to befriend you so you can email me if it's not asking too much. Thank you!

I will try to link you to the online sites I have found but as I said before, it is the time dedicated that makes the earnings work in your favor. I have little things that I like to do that make money and are fun too. I have seen many sites like to share in their profits if you visit often like myLot.

Being a single mom and raising 3 children on my own, I had to go out and work. Now that my children are grown and I'm married and have hearing disabilities and back problems I decided to start making money on the internet. That way whatever money is greatly appreciated and I don't have to try to find a job that will accommodate my disabilities. I haven't earned that much as of this far yet, but I just started seriously trying. So people are kind of skeptical of me actually making real money. But I feel comfortable in working from home and hopefully I will have a good amount of money coming in. Some people don't think that being a stay at home mom or housewife is a job, but it is!

I agree that you can make the money IF you seriously try. I always say to those who say that if being a mom wasn't a job, then why do we pay so much for daycare? I guess daycare workers don't do anything all day either! :) Good luck with the working from home. If we are friends I will send a link of a fun one I do. Enjoy the work so you can enjoy life :)

I had worked in office for about 20years,finally i have been bored and resigned five months ago. I already realized this kind of tough work had damaged my health, though this work could cause a better salary but meanwhile I lost so much even no more time for my family. Now I am back home and plan to do something by writting. At least this decision approved my sleeping and make me more happier than before. Do you think so ?

I believe it took me away from my family that needed me most. I hated being away from my children. Now I do work while I am at home during naptime or after bedtime usually. I love that we can have this opportunity today. I feel I get sick less and less, I only get allergies from outside allergens. I believe what you say is so true! Is your lifestyle better quality even though the salary went down?
