Dreams come from the subconscious mind. Quite often they may warn us of situations which we are aware of subconsciously but have suppressed or ignored in our conscious thinking.
Many dreams, especially those which we remember, are the subconscious mind's way of bringing thoughts, emotions and fears to the attention of our consciousness as being important in some way and something which we should act upon or resolve. They do NOT come 'from the future' but are always based on events in the past (which may, of course, affect future events and actions).

My sister once dream of a snake became a dragon.
Some said if you dream of snakes means bad omen.
But in her case, the snake became dragon. In Chinese,
dragon means good. However, according to her she got promoted
after that dream ....
From what I read, researchers said dreams are basically the
way our minds figuring out for solution base on our daily
activities and information. It seems that the strangers in
our dreams are those people that we seen before during our
day time in the past. They can just be the people in the crowd,
passerby, in the train etc. Our brain captured the images and
played it out in our dreams

Dreams are really hard to understand. But some would say that dreams manifest our past, present or future. It is just a matter on how you interpret that may be linked to your life.

What you thought and what may reflect in your dream, sometimes we can find some meanings in it,but sometimes it just nothing. All of us have dreams everyday, some can be remembered and some can't be remembered.

Anyway, I think dream is just a dream, it's not reality. I heard that the meaning of a bad dream is the opposite in reality, too. As to myself, I don't believe in what the others think about dream. When I have good dreams, I would like to think that it will come true, so I feel happy for that. When I have bad dream, I would like to believe the saying "the meaning of a dream is the opposite in reality" , so I also feel happy, no matter what dream I have.
Nice weekend!

The only reason that a dream can be 'the opposite of reality' is that our subconscious mind has already warned us (in the dream) of how things might turn out badly and that, in fact, events turn out to be better than anticipated, either because things are generally better than the 'worst case scenario' or because we took the warning of the dream seriously and avoided making the situation into the one imagined in the dream.

Yes, when I dream and I remembered after waking up it means that it is very significant to me. very vivid on the waking time. I will make search for it's meaning and most of the time, I am able to decode the meaning of it. One significant example, I dreamt that the glass I was holding break and some of its fragments went through my legs, blood and pain. I search on the meaning of it. It means that I will be disappointed on a certain thing or issue. True enough, I got disppointment when I was not paid by the school in the amount that I was expecting. I am not internalizing to happened and i am not thinking about it. I just reconcile the meaning of the broken glass and present disappointment.

Dreams come when the conscience mind is quiet. So there could be warnings you have been unaware of during the time when you are not sleeping. I have always felt that how you feel about a dream has more value than the actual dream.

I don't really believe dreams has it's own meaning. I believe they are just our imagination of how we want things to be. Sometimes our dreams contain the thoughts we last think of before we go to sleep. They are merely involuntary images when we are asleep.

hi,
for me i believe that dreams can give a sign for danger in our life, sometimes it has meaning that we need to analyze or we need to study it,like my mother's dreamed, she and my younger sister can not pass by because of the long and big river, during that time we were opened a new business and a signed for us that we will have a hard time before we earn.

I have actually found out that dream diaries, or however they are called, translate each dream differently depending on the different languages and cultures. For example seeing a snake in my country is directly translated to a hidden fear, while fish is also translated to something bad. In different countries it might be something completely different.

I had a dream once that was nothing like the problem I had in my life at the time yet a few hours of waking up I new the decision I had to make and new it was because what I had learnt in my dream. Dreams to me are the unconscious surfacing themselves to your conscious.

My dreams are usually the result of something I've seen or heard and have nothing to do with fate good or bad.

Here there are dream readers, if one meets them and gives details, like time of dream etc ; they will interpret its meaning, dreams may indicate many things, dreams seen in early morning hours come true usually

I don't know whether dreams really come true or not, but i heard about the same from many of my friends. They say some dreams come true especially the ones which are seen in the early morning time. So when ever they see a bad dream they go to the temple to worship or do some puja. I feel its funny.

I have heard from others that dreams are giving signs of dangers. For me, I don't know if it is just a coincidence because some of my dreams had connections with what happened to me, days or weeks after the dreams.
