I went to a movie today alone for first time. It was a regional tamil movie. It was a new movie and all my friends have watched it already. I watch very few tamil movies. But i loved in a different manner. For the first time I watched a very good regional movie alone and was awe struck with the movie. Nice songs and nice movie too. I watch always with my colleagues, college friends or room mates. I am sure many of u would have done that too. When i say this I remember my close friend Ranjan who i used to watch lots of english movies in my school time. Please share your thoughts on watching movies.

I have never been to the cinema alone. I will feel embarrassed to it as usually it is either loves, friends or family will go to watch a movie together. It seems to be weird to be alone in the cinema. If so, I prefer to watch the movie at home

I watch a lot of movies in home too. But this was a odd one. I am sure I will not try this again. It was a good movie which made me feel I was not alone.

I have never been to a movie alone. Would find it very boring sitting there all alone I think. Its more fun sitting with family or friends while watching movies.

Yes, I have. I even went to a non-movie theater alone, too. I don't have too many friends, and sometimes none of them is available that night or they don't have the money or they don't wanna see that certain movie or play. First it was weird, because it's said to be embarrassing and gross for someone to go to these places alone, but I got used to it. Moreover, sometimes, if I see a more serious movie (which some of my friends don't really like, because they really want to be entertained when they are at the movies), I like to "digest" the things seen alone, without having the answer every question about which actor I liked best or if I was content with the storyline...

I have been going to movies alone since I was a teen. This is how it would happen. My mom would take me and I would go in and see the movie. Now that I'm older and my mom is in heaven, I go totally by myself.Once I had the whole movie theater All to myself. I went in the afternoon and I was the only person in the theater. I saw Biutiful . It felt like I was in my own private movie room!

I once watched a movie alone but was years ago. I'm still a teenager back then. The movie was good, it is a comedy one. I was just a bit paranoid that time since there was a humor that there were bad people out there who might inject you with a virus on the cinema if you are watching alone. That was a really popular humor that time and I was afraid that time watching alone and can't really concentrate and very uneasy. That was the only time I went alone in the cinema :D

There were occasions when I was still in college that I have gone to movie houses and watch a movie alone. But most of the time, I usually am with my friends. I find it more enjoyable watching the movie with someone rather than watching a movie alone.

Well, I have also gone to movies alone. It's because that my friends are not into my movie taste...so that is why they don't go with me.

I love watching good movies on big screen but I have never watched it alone. I don't think I will be able to enjoy watching movies alone in the movie house. I could watch a movie alone when I am at home but not on the big screen. Anyway, it's good to know that you did enjoy your movie even if you don't have anyone to be with you to watch it.

No, I have never gone to a movie alone. Actually, it has been a long time since I went out to the movie theater. It really has gotten expensive to go see movies. In the past, I have just done the Netflix thing. It is nice to watch a movie in the comfort of your own home alone. You can make you own popcorn. You can pause the movie if you need to run to the bathroom. Actually, a co-worker told me a gross thought that made me think twice about movie theaters. That being all the gross stuff that can be lurking on that movie theater seat like lice if the person before you had bugs in their hair. Gross! It so made me think twice about going to the movies.

Not at this time because there is no movie houses or theaters where I am at now. it is nice to see English movies specially for us non native english speakers however as I noticed most English movies have language that is not appropriate to learn specially for us like F*** and all those stuff. I mean we watch English movies to pick up something and I encourage my students to watch English films and yet these are the some kind of the words they will be learning. whew..

The first time? I used to do it all the time! I live with my daughter and grandson.Things get pretty stressful around home due to my daughter's bi-polar disorder and my grandson's ODD so going to a movie by myself is wonderful. And if my kids had gone my grandson would be wanting something or bored unless it was something he wanted to see. I think alone time is a good thing. Love to watch movies and I get them all the time from Netflix.

I don't remember myself going to the movies alone coz it would be kinda lonely and scary as well. You'll never know what kind of people you might be sitting beside you, right? If I fell like just being with myself, I'd rather stroll in the mall than be inside a dark movie theater.

Yes, I have gone to a movie alone before, the one that clearly stands out is "Bounty Hunter" with Jennifer Anniston. She's a beautiful person and a great actress. I love her movies. I'm comfortable enough with myself to be able to do things like this, it makes life interesting.

I did that when I am out of my town. I thin it is fun watching alone, taking the time of seeing the film story. Great day!

No, not once. I do not want to go alone to the movie house just to watch. I feel very awkward if I watch alone. I preferred to watch with someone like a friend or my boyfriend. In the movie house, there are a lot of couples and lovers so I think I would feel envy I see some. lol .Just kidding. I am not comfortable if I'm alone.

I love watching movies but for me the best way to watch a movie is with friends. That way I can share my experiences with my friends about watching the movie. So, no, I've never gone to the cinema alone to watch a movie. It feels weird watching a movie alone at the cinema. But at home, I always watch movies alone. It's nice to watch a movie with my family but if they're not at home, I don't mind watching a movie alone. But not a horror movie.
