I am worried about how many strands of my hair comes out when I have a shower and wash my hair. Also my pillow has many hairs on it from my head every morning. I have noticed a few of my eye lashes have come out just before or after I put my contacts lenses in. I am 40 year old. Have you ever had any hair loss? Are their any vitamins that could help my hair loss improve?

If it`s just a little, just can relax more if you can as it could be due to stress. Check at some shampoos that say they help with hair loss. If it is too much, I`d go to seek medical help. I have discovered that skin and hair react a lot when there are any kinds of problems in my life.

I had the same problem before. But falling few strands of hair is normal. I don't know about the lashes. I went to a doctor about this because the falling hair scares me especially when I shower. I just don't see strands. I see lots of it and my doctor told me it's stress. I was stressed at work that time. So I avoided stress and changed my shampoo containing with ketoconazole. I remember she asked me if I'm taking birth control pills. So I guess it affects us also. I also went to a salon for treatments to strengthen my hair.

I tend to find a lot of my hair fals out when washing but, less so when just sleeping. In fact, my husband had to unblock the drain the other day because the amunt of hair was causing it to not empty properly. Now he has done that, the water drains so quickly! Lol

My hair doesn't fall out but I never really had any eye lashes on the bottom of my eyes. I just heard on of my co-workers talking about her lashes were falling out and they mentioned something about the Thyroids. I hope it's nothing serious, if it makes you feel better my boyfriend looses so much hair every time he brushes his hair but he still has a full head of hair

Yes, I'm having hair loss too but it's part of my thyroid disease and I cannot control it. Tried uncombing my hair for sometime so the hair won't fall out but it just falls out right there and then. I don't know any other remedy for now.

I am experiencing this too. Well, choose a good shampoo for your hair. Avoid stress and have enough sleep. You can notice that your hair will be stronger in one week time.

Maybe your scalp pores are blocked up causing hair to break and not grow properly. Try switching to a more organic shampoo that has tea tree oil. Look up CO-washing too. A lot of these popular brand shampoos are too harsh for us. For vitamins take Biotin. It is meant to aid in strengthening hair and nail growth and most likely will help those lashes. Most importantly, speak with your doctor.

Oh, I had hair loss before. I haven't done anything though. It just passed. I guess there are times that we really experience hair loss. Just observe your hair and try using some shampoos which are good for hair loss.

As a former hairdresser, I know that everyone loses quite a few hairs everyday. Hair is constantly shedding and being replaced. If your hair is long, it seems like there is more falling out, but it's just that it's more noticeable when it's long. Unless you actually see thin spots, you probably have nothing to worry about.

it is natural as age progress and for most of the time it happens and nothing is permanent forever and hair fall can be reduced by getting good range of shampoo from doctor advice

You have to take care of your hair immediately because some hormonal imbalance, or vitamin deficiency could be the reason

Hair does get thinner as we age, even for women but you are not yet old enough for that to be the reason. I have noticed that around autumn - that would be September/October my hair falls out quite a lot. Enough to clog the plug in the shower. It always worries me but I know now that it is just that time of the year when it happens. In the Spring I can feel lots of little bristles growing back. I hope this is the reason for your hair loss too. I do not know what vitamins may help but I do know that colouring the hair with a dark colour has harmful chemicals in it. If you colour your hair perhaps you should give it a rest for a while and see if the fall out stops.

Vitamin "H", "A", Iron are the Vitamins that help in growth of hair. In addition to that Vitamin "C" helps in maintaining healthy shining hair.Taking food that contains these Vitamins will reduce the hair fall.Vitamin Supplements available in the market may also be taken as a substitute.

I understand that as we age our hairs will begin to thin and shedding hairs will be the first natural explanation for what you are experiencing. The other explanation will be normal life variations like undergoing some temporary severe stress, nutrition changes from a recent adopted diet and hormonal changes like those of pregnancy, puberty and for your case, most likely menopause. I may not be qualified to determine it accurately for you here. So you will need to cross-examine yourself to see if you are experiencing any form of health abnormalities or pain in addition to the signs you have posted. On the extreme and bad side, I think you should know that hair loss could be related to some underlying health conditions like thyroid disease and iron deficiency anemia. In this area, I think you would need to be examined by a qualified doctor to help you.

Not sure what that could be, I would have it checked by a doctor. Sometimes hair loss is due to stress. I know there are products on the market for thinning hair but hair loss is something different. I would note how much is coming out and let your doctor know that you are worried about it. They might have some suggestions on what you can do to slow it down or stop it.

Hair fall is a common problem now a days.Falling of less than 10 hair/day is not uncommon but if are experiencing more than 10 hair fall per day you need to start thinking about that.Vitamin E is very beneficial for nourishing hair and helps to stop premature falling.Almond is rich in vitamin E and is beneficial in preventing hair fall.Apply minoxidil solution on scalp ,which not only prevent hair fall but also regenerate hair within 3 month. However response may very from individual to individual. Please consult for doctor and ask him whether you can you minoxidil or not.

I already experience that. The reason is stress or my scalp is dry. If you are stress, unstress your self. If dry scalp try to have hot oil.
