Does it seem to anyone eles on here that some members just troll to condemn and belittle others on mylot? I try not to write anything but it seems to be getting out of hand. I have no desire to name names but it seems to me like the MyLot administrators do a good enough job of deleting discussions that needs to be deleted and informing people of going against their guidelines. Just don't think we need the condescending snarky types.

There are no trolls and/or bullies here on myLot because admins soon get rid of them when they appear. If you see anything along those lines then you too should use the (!) next to the post to bring it to admin's attention.
I know that there are many Lotters who point out violations with the intention of guiding others so that they will not repeat the same mistake. Violations are deleted and cause loss of earnings.
Maybe you are misunderstanding the intent of some posts that you have seen?
What you consider as 'condescending and snarky? is often seen by others as 'helpful'. I guess it just depends on which specs you are wearing when reading the posts

It's sad to hear that this site haa bullies, too. I haven't seen any bullies on this website yet. And if I ever do, I'll do my best to ignore them and let the administrators take care of it. Remember, bullies are everywhere. Just dont join them or let them annoy you.

The MyLot Admin does, indeed, do a good job but he is very much helped by those members who report violations when they see them (we are actually asked to do so as part of the Guidelines). Sometimes these people who help to uphold the quality of discussions will also post to remind people that they are breaking the rules. If the member is clearly intentionally ignoring the rules, such 'reminders' may be concise, to the point and frank. If you think that 'condescending and snarky', that is your problem. It isn't 'trolling', even though some may find it hurtful.

I personally have not run into any MyLot bullies. That doesn't mean they aren't there. I have noticed that some posters to this site only have eyes for the payout and ignore adding quality to their discussions.
If you do run into a bully-reply, you should hit the "!" button. This button will alert MyLot to the fact that one of their posters is being uncivil. Civility is part of the agreement accepted by all new MyLotters when they sign up to post.

I haven't really noticed a lot of that. Maybe I'm not in the right discussions. Thing is that trolls are always going to be a part of the internet. There's not a lot we can do except to ignore and report. Sometimes I like to poke them with a stick.

When you have been here six years and see yet another new user asking questions which are already answered in the FAQs and are discussed in topics almost every day then I am sure that you will also say "Another lazy person who hasn't read the guidelines" too.
I shall bookmark this topic and return to it in six years time

It's not actually me that's been bullied. I just have a sense of others just wanting to point out the ones who have made mistakes, not the friendly ones...just ones that usually start off "Another lazy person who hasn't read the guidelines"..to me thats rude but to each their own.

I have never come across anyone on my lot that could be described as a bully. The lack of people with the characteristics you have listed is why my lot is such a great place to spend time.I have found that my lot is great because of the strong community spirit built on the friendly sharing of ideas and opinions. This is enabled by mutual respect and the knowledge that ideas put forward will not be ridiculed or cause the person to become subject to the sought of abuse that internet trolls give out.

I have not seen any bullies really but some people do get very critical about things that they have and strong opinion about or that are very contravirsal. I try to stay away from those kind of posts.

Well actually mylot is a very friendly website, you no need to worry about that.
And regarding to what your concern such as the deleting,I think you should go to read the F&Q first then you will figure out how the discussion is going on in mylot.
Wish you have a good time in mylot.

You might be reffering to members who takes notice on correcting other member's mistakes. Don't worry, you'll get used to it They are just trying to help other members by clarifying cetain issues. The snarky types you're saying, from what I see, are not snarky to other members who became their friends here.
