I think both are beautiful. As a child we can enjoy the freedom, love and affection of parents and other people, provided you born with caring parents. As a parent, each and every moments with the baby’s life is enjoyable especially the first things. The baby starts to smile, respond, sit, crawl, walk etc etc. There are so many golden moments in parent’s life. In case of a child, the child does not know it is the best time in his/her life. He/she realizes once she/he become grown ups.

I agree with you my dear friendboth are beautiful and both needed to each other parents needs child and child needs parents. The main capital of parents is their child but when child grown up they not understand this feeling but in childhood they love their parents more.

I think that every parent became a child first. But every child may not become a parent in the future. The parents decide to have a child. The child never decide to have them as parents. Therefore it is their responsibilities to take care of the child. The child has no responsibility to pay them back. Supposedly, the child should not need to worry about anything, the child should just enjoy playing. However, there are some cases where children suffer from worrying about life at early age. Examples are fighting parents, exploitation, poor financial condition, etc... Becoming parents are easy, but being ones is difficult.
A Child Learns
If a child lives with criticism,
he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility,
he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule,
he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame,
he learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance,
he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement,
he learns confidence.
If a child lives with praise,
he learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with fairness,
he learns justice.
If a child lives with security,
he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval,
he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance, and friendship,
he learns to find love in the world.

I really don't know what to choose you see to be a child you are on your parents term you do as they say...now to be an adult you can choose. I had quite a happy childhood my mum was special to me and my dad was a good dad except when he took the belt to us I got used to it and still loved my dad...now to be a parent[and I Am one]is the most difficult thing you will ever do my youngest is 34 and I still question my self if I did a good job as a parent!at the end of the day I prefer to be an adult so I can make my own decisions and don't depend on any one.

I did not have a good childhood. Most of the time I was scared to go home because of my father making my life a living H*ll.
So, for me I prefer to be a parent. I love being a mommy, its the best job in the world. Even though there comes a lot of responsibility with being a parent, it is truly a blessing. And I make sure not to treat my kids the way I was treated as a kid.

i remember when i was still a kid, there are instances we have nothing to eat in the table. but there are happy moments too, every time we go and play. but now it is different, i buy what i need, i earn my keeps however small it is and i never go hungry anymore. if there is anything i wanted to have now which i have as a child is the ability to be happy in every simple things, a lollipop can make me smile or a cotton candy. it costs too much now to please myself.

I would also think of it that way. But then again, as a parent, I do have instances that I feel happy and enjoy the moments that I have or had. And those were the times that I gave birth to my kids and the everyday joy that life brings knowing that they have grown up to be good kids.

All the same everybody is a child before the Lord God. But here on earth we are
foster parents and under this fora we are open to God's wisdom as to what He expects us to do before Him. At this instance, you are happy as a parent rather than a babe.

Yes, really it's a good dream for all to return in the childhood life. I also like to return before about 10 to 20 years if possible. I think everyone in this world about 99 percent would like to return to their childhood's life or like to be a child always.
And the parents a re always dedicated for their child. They spend their life to take care for their child as well as they work and live for their child.

It is really hard to answer your question. I still remember when I was a little child, I wanted to grow because that I think when I grow up I will have everything, especially I don't need to do my homework.

I think both are enjoyable. The good thing about being a child is that as you have said in your discussion, they will not worry about everything. Their life is so simple and full of joy and contentment. No problems. The good thing about being a parent, is being a parent itself. When they know that they are being cherish by their offs springs and they are being loved back and all their sacrifices, they can see that it is all worth it because they see they offs springs growing and getting old as a successful and a God fearing individual that they can be proud of.

I want to be a kid with the same parents. I had fun childhood years and just thinking about it makes me smile. Being a parent takes a lot of responsibility. Whereas my only responsible when I was a child is to make sure I throw the garbage at night and feed and clean my pet dog. My dad always take us out to different places and my mom's cooking is superb. I haven't seen them fight, not even once so being a child in their care is really happy memory to remember.

In my view being a child is more enjoyable. When make parents there is lots of responsibility lots of work pressure have that is very taff job in life. when we are live as child there is no responsibility only play and only fun that is more enjoyable then a parents life.

That's a tough one, I've been both. I think being a child is more fun but being an adult gives you more freedom. Children don't think past tomorrow, they live for today. That's a good lesson for all of us, have fun but know when to think about stuff. Young adults have the best of both worlds because they are still young enough to have fun but they still can think about their future. Parents have extended themselves beyond by having kids and they have to think about how their kids will take on life. My kids have fun now but they know that a time will come when it has to be their decisions, I'm teaching them so they won't have to figure all of it out on their own.

As a chi ld of the depression, I always understood that I couldn't have everything I wanted. kIt wasn't until much later that I realized how well they did with what little they had. My parents always worked hard and trusted God to take care of things beyond their control. I'm nto sure I worded that right. Since they were farmers, they trusted God for everything.

When you put it that way, it does seem like being a child is better than being a parent but being a child means you're controlled by an adult. You're not free to do whatever you wish.
I didn't have a very nice childhood. I've always wanted to become an adult and be free from my parents. So I prefer being a parent than a child. If I had nice parents, perhaps I want to be a child forever.

hi,
for me i think i will choose and more enjoyable the life of being child rather than to be a parent, because a child don't have responsibility compare to the responsibility of a parent, and aside from that parents will provide everything in long term of their life.

I think that is just a person's way of saying they would like a chance to do it all over gain. We get one chance make the best of what you got, that is what we do. Do better tomorrow then you did today.
