Don’t you agree?

I have seen many who don’t wash their hands properly before eating and after using toilet. All are probably not aware that washing hands properly not only prevents us from getting sick, but it also reduces the risk of infecting others. In my family all observe this good habit including our grandkids, babies should be taught good habits from very young age. Do you agree with me; do you and your family members all wash hands properly using some kind of soap? Do you teach good habits to your kids from young age? Please respond and share your views on this. Thanks in advance. ‘MERRY XMAS’ Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . 26/12/2012 Habit, good, wash, hand, soap

Washing hands not only before eating or after using the toilet, but almost after everything I do has become like an obsession to me. It was one of the first things I taught my daughter and I hate it when I see someone not washing their hands when it has to be done. You're right, not only we can catch some infection, but other people can get infected, too, simply because someone is too lazy to maintain simple hygiene.

I not only wash my hands properly with soap before eating and meals, but I also advise other around me to do so. This is indeed useful in preventing infections, and also maintain cleanliness.

It is really important to teach good hygiene to our children while they are young so that it will soon develop as a habit. And as a habit, they will never forget to do these things as they grow up. It will reflect how we, as a parent have done our duty to guide them to have a better life.

I agree, how they behave shows how the parents taught them. Thanks for sharing your views.

I totally agree with you. It is really essential. In my family thankfully all of us wash hands before eating and after using the toilet. I guess people who do not wash hands are lacking knowledge. They don't know the diseases that can affect them. I think it is our responsibility to convey the knowledge to who ever we know not following these things.

I can't stand it when someone doesn't wash their hands especially after going to the bathroom. Where I work we have automatic flushers so when someone moves away from the toilet the toilet flushes itself. Well people don't realize that we know they don't wash their hands if the toilet flushes and they walk right out of the bathroom...we know they didn't take time to wash! Washing good does stop the spread of disease!

Yes, i agree with you professor! It is a good habit for us to wash hand with soap after using the toilet. This habit will keep us away from infection cause by bacteria and microorganism, so that we can reduce the probability of falling sick by various diseases due to poor practices in personal hygiene, it also help to pass down this habit to our children and grandchildren, so that they can remain healthy.

It is definitely important to instill good hygiene practices in kids. If they don't learn this from their parents, they will grow up without doing this. That's simply how it is. And that's bad. Not only for germs, but also, if you think about brushing your teeth -- also for one's health, and also one's finances!

Handwashing is the basic hygiene for the people to do it. I agree, it could make us unhealthy and it could spread possible virus or bacterial that will lead to outbreak. Thus we need to put into practice handwashing.
