Where or who do you go to when you are under a lot of stress?

Stress comes in all types. Big or small. Is there a place you go to when your stressed, something you do, or someone you talk too. I like to write in my journal when I'm stressed. Thankfully there are wonderful friends that I have that I talk about my problems with.

I'm glad to hear that you contact your friend. It is good for us to have friends that we can talk about our problems with.It really does make us feel better about issues at least to know that we have friends that will listen to what we have to say. Even if they don't have any advice or solutions to our problems.

Yeah we do need to try and relax when we are under stress. I usually try and do something outside of the house since I spend the majority of my time inside. If I spent most of my time away from home then coming home and relaxing would be a haven. I think my stress level though is decreasing which is a good thing.

Honestly, I come here when I am stressed. I vent and it helps a lot. I do write in a journal as well but being here is more helpful since people can give me advice and help me out. =) I am grateful for the friends I have made here, you have all helped many times!

I agree it's great to be able to get advice here. I felt so much better about different things in my life after reading the comments of others. I do agree that it is great to be able to come here when we are stressed. I have recently started writing in my journal and I hope that I can keep up with. It does relieve my stress in some ways and it's something that I would like my daughter to have if anything ever happened to me.

Yeah it is a good for us to think about and reflect on our situation. As well as ways to try and solve our problems. It is good for us to know what friends will cause us more stress when we are facing problems. I have experienced that myself. Sometimes we just want someone to hear us out not necessarily try and solve our problem or judge us, but sometimes that is what the results end up being. That is when we should just keep our private matters exactly that. We don't need people in our lives who are constantly trying to tell us what to do or hat what we feel or think is wrong or inappropriate.

when i got stressed up, and when i am hone i just stay in my room and sleep it out. sometimes i go to the malls, or to a bookstore, i scan pages of some books until i can find something interesting to read. and if i get hungry i buy something to eat. or sometimes if i feel i need to flex some muscles i go to the beach and take a swim, i always take my camera with me and take pictures of places an things.i love doing those things to relieve myself of stress.

I agree that sleeping is a great stress relief. I hope that in the near future I will be able to get more sleep and be less stressed. Right now I feel like my stress level is very high. But I don't get a lot of sleep either because there are so many things that I'm trying to do and get done throughout the day that my sleep schedule is what suffers. It is a great thing to get out and do things when we are stressed. For me I've got to be careful about this because if I go shopping I will more than likely add to my stress.

When I'm stressed I talk to my grand-grandmother, she helps me to think of a solution o or just to relax. I find it very helpful.
Another thing I like doing, is to go to my backyard and just sit there under a tree, watching my dogs play or petting them.
Is very relaxing.

I'm glad to hear that your great grandmother is there for you when you need her. It is great to have someone like that in your life. Spending time with our pets can be very relaxing. If we continue to manage our stress well it will help with so many different areas of our life.Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I usually get caught up even in a very minimal stress, it affects my behavior, my school performance and worst my health. To relieve my stress I usually go somewhere, a place that I haven't been before where I can calm my mind and relax. I also do things that i love doing like going to malls and eat my favorite food this way it helps me to feel better. Writing what I feel also helps me to calm myself and gives me time to think things over.

I'm glad to hear that you are able to go somewhere. I'm working on finding more places that I can go to when I'm feeling stressed and down. My daughter and I have been going to the park with the weather becoming warmer so I hope that this will help me feel better as well.

W@he i am stressed, I relax. I do something that makes me laugh like watching comedies and read funny jokes. I hang out with my friends. Talk to my siblings and play cards. Sleeping is one also for me to have calm and peaceful mind.

Relaxing does help a great deal. I know that I appreciate being able to have time to myself when I'm feeling really stressed. It's not always easy for me to get time to myself but when I do have it I enjoy it.

Yes, absolutely you're right! Stress comes in all types and sometimes it's very destructive on the things that I'm doing. I'm being disturbed by it! Yes, I have a place to go when I am stressed, I go to church, friend's house doing all the jamming thing with guitar, drums and piano instruments. Me too, I am writing it in my diary. I really love to tell stories to my friends and cousins when I am totally stressed!

Glad to hear that you have a love of music and playing instruments. I'm sure that helps you to feel relief from the stress in your life. It is nice to be able to write our thoughts and feelings down in a diary.

The things you just stated are the things that I also do when stressed. Except for the writing it in a journal thing. There is more to life than that of worrying or being a slave to stress. So I try learning new things and do things that make me feel happy. Life is to be enjoyed.

Yeah we do not want to be a slave to stress. That would cause us to be very unhappy. I'm working on dealing with the things that cause me the most stress one area of my life at a time. That way I will be able to have more joy and happiness in my life.

Everyone needs to get away to get relief from stress. For me I take a break from my stress by going to the garden because I like to see the trees bearing with its fruits, fishpond to watch the fishes that are swimming, I would also prefer to see blooming flowers or if I will do these I rather stay at home. These things relief me from my stress.

I'm glad to hear that small and yet beautiful things are able to bring you relief from stress. It's good not to have to spend money in order to have relief from stress. Often times spending more money will add to our stress level.

I also go with friends when I am stressed. Just be myself and think all positive things that are happening in my life so that I won't think that I am carrying the world. I always think positively that these sources of stress are just challenges that I will eventually get over. I go visit my family so that I will feel that they are always there to help me.

It is nice to be able to be ourselves when we are around others. It makes us feel so much better. It's nice to be able to have others we can talk to when we are going through hard times. Yeah it is important that we think positive and remember that even hard times will pass as well.

Well, if I feel stressed I will just take a short walk at the park and find my peace of mind. Most of the time I share my problems with my sister and get pieces of advice from her. I also talk with my friend and do sharing of thoughts. If not we will just talk for something funny or we'll just recall our funny moments together. In that way, I can forget my problems at least for a short while.

when im stressed i usually do something that i know i can lessen my stress. i want to hear music. i want to go to the place where silence is because when im stressed o don't want to be disturbed. i also go to people who knows mt attitude and can understand me when im stressed.

Yeah we should do things that doesn't make us more stressed, or be around people who can stress us out. That would only aggravate us more. We need that time to reflect on all that is happening and how we would like to handle it.

Sometimes i feel like stress is everywhere. But just like you I also have friends that are there whom i can talk to. Its amazing sometimes how they can listen to an hour of me talking and talking. It is really nice having good friends. Sometimes to relieve stress I go to parks. A place where i can see the nature and admire it and it actually helps me to relax.

Stress really is everywhere. It is awesome having good friends who really listen to what we have to say. Sometimes we don't really need someone to offer suggestions but we would just like to have others know how we are feeling and what we are dealing with.

Stress makes me feel sad and alone. If possible, I want to be with my friends and talk about the stressors in my life. Because there are times that we have the same stressors. I want to hear their advises even if it is not worth it. They tell jokes about my problems and its fun. They made me laugh until such time I will just realized that being serious about the stressors in life will only makes me crazy :)

It is definitely good to be with friends that we can open up too and talk with about our problems.Can really be overwhelming and it's nice to have others to share our thoughts and feelings with. Glad to hear that you and your friends are able to laugh about things with your problems.

If I am under a lot of stress the first things to do is to get rid this out of feelings is to hangout with friends and find a place where I can have a fresh air.In this way I could express my feelings to them.Listening on their suggestions can be helpful in a simple way.I believed, being with your friends will make this stress out.Other than that is to practice yoga exercise in order for you to relax your mind.

Yeah it is nice to be outside and be able to talk with our friends. Being able to get fresh oxygen I'm sure is always a plus when we are dealing with problems. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it.

Talking to someone can really feel us a little better when we're stressed. It will somehow make us forget about what the things that are stressful. Our friends will be the ones that we talk to, sometimes it's our family. I would really love to go to a place that is relaxing, a place where it's quite and where I can think clearly. In this way I'll be coping up with stress.

Yeah family can be very helpful as well. We do have to find successful methods of coping with the stress in our life otherwise we will feel overwhelmed by our situation. We can take things one step at a time to get where we want to be.

It's also good that you have a journal where in you can write all your feelings, thoughts and problems. It would help you to express what you feel inside. But in my case, the first thing that I will do is to pray to God. I know and I believed that He is always there for me to give me strength that I need. My parents are the one who teaches me to always pray especially when I encounter problems. But I also have my best friends whom I can share my problems with. Even they are far away from me, they would always give me a phone call whenever I feel bad. I am so blessed that I have friends like them whom I can share the good and the bad things in my life.

I think it really does help me to express my feelings. This also will be something that I can go back to and look at and see why I have made certain decisions, or did certain things in my life. Glad to hear that you are often praying to God for strength to help you get through your problems. That is definitely a good thing to do.

when I am stress I go to my friends and talk to them.Actually, I will never say it but I know they feel it even if I will change the topic. I go to them because they know when I am under a lot of stress. They also do things that will make me happy and give me some advice. It is also my way of testing all my friends who are the "true" to you and those not.
