As what everybody knows, Joy is one of the leading brand of dish washing soap here in the Philippines. It cost P5 for every liter if I'm not mistaking. Anyhow, I found out that my mother is using another kind of dish washing liquid. It was a one liter bottle with description at the back. As I was reading it, I was shocked that it will it only needs 1ml of that to be diluted in a 1 liter water, so that's 1000 liters of dishwashing liquid. The shocking part is that, it only costs P585. That's P0.585/liter compared to Joy with P5/liter.

That indeed is a lot of savings, but how's the quality? I've used something like that before. It was a locally made dishwashing liquid, and I forgot the name. It was just sold to us on promotion by our neighbor, and we were so dissatisfied because it was more of a waste. It is too diluted, that you have to put more on the sponge to make it soapy.

Well, that really is worth some promotions to the public so that other people would know about it and benefit from it.

Its pretty amazing really. Its just the same as joy in terms of soaping effect, but does not have very strong odor. As for me, it is really a great dish washing liquid, one of the best buys we had.

we are not using Joy too. we are using Suf right now. it is better, cheaper and has moisturizers. though we have come to use this 1 gallon, it sure is cheapest, at a hundred pesos plus its already a gallon and we are able to use it for months! :P

Woah! That so cool too. Maybe you can upload some pictures of it so that we can see how does it looks when we go to super markets.

I use Surf, too. Surf for dishwashing, laundry, and fabric conditioner. It has price advantage than the rest, but it's just as good as the leading brands.

Is there a sachet version or only the bottle version? If it is not available in sachet, that is where the problem will come in. I am not sure if Filipino will spend about 585 pesos for one bottle of dish washing liquid no matter how great the savings you will get. Probably some will purchase it but I guess most will stick to the per piece or per sachet, though it will cost them more. This is a nice product, I am hoping they can package this in sachet version as well.

I think its not going to happen because this is a US made product and it really comes in bottle. You have a point in that though on the sachet thing for it is really a big one time expense as for a dish washing liquid.

Ohh, is that so? But you can buy Joy dishwashing liquid for 5pesos in almost all our retail stores unlike the Amway dishwashing liquis. What I can say is you really might be a good business man. I know you are in the business now while still studying. You did compute on these little things. I do this too when I am thinking of buying items in large packs/bottles or the retail one. An example is hair conditioner. I like buying the retail one than bottled ones because as I had computed, retail ones is much cheaper.

hi for me the liquid soap is too strong since you said it will going to be diluted in 1000 ml per 1 ml of the gel. joy is cheap brand thus its trusted soap here in the country. i used Joy and for me its the best liquid soap here in our country. I am not against any other brand.

it's amazing how you completely analyzed the per liter price. we usually buy axion dishwashing liquid in bottles. we dilute it with water so we can use it longer. it's P60 pesos and if we will buy joy liquid in retail stores, i believe we will be saving much money. anyway, it's still effective in cleaning the dishes.

Here in the US Joy is one of the cheaper brands you can buy but not the cheapest. I believe Sun is the cheapest you can buy. Problem is, that Sun, Joy and a few others do ot work as well as some of the more expensive brands so we end up using more. I just wait to buy the brand I prefer when it is on sale and I have a coupon.

In the past, we used joy... and we only bought the refill pack because that is cheaper... but we discovered the 1 liter sm bonus brand... which we use for like 2 months... a lot cheaper and there is no difference in terms of quality... i also tried using the personal collection blue wave brand... it was so concentrated that a refill pack can be used for like 3 weeks... i am thinking of buying like 10 packs when i get the chance to go to a personal collection store...

Just last night I open up the topic to my wife and siblings during our evening meal. They are using different brand. It's not a liquid one. I advice them to use Joy. Now, I got across you post. Another brand cheaper than Joy. I will open up again this topic to my wife later.

i tend to use a combination of brands, but i always pour like 1 inch high into another squeeze bottle then add lots of water because using liquid detergent in pure form uses up too much water to rinse off. liquid detergent is really better compared to bar, paste or gel, but always dilute it first.

Having been involved with Amway stuff many years ago, i found this interesting until i read this report.
"The best brands carry familiar names--Dawn Palmolive, and Joy. But Ajax, Sunlight and Dazzle were all very good, and a bit cheaper than the brands at the top of the Ratings. In contrast, the Amway liquid, an undistinguised cleaner, was by far the most expensive."
