Have you gone thinking what's the best age to die? while dying seems to be a very rarely talked subject, i think having a target age for a death would make us live and appreciate life more. Personally i guess 70 years would be enough for a stay on this planet. what do u think?

It would be very difficult to select an age to die because the concept contravenes the natural sense of self preservation. I can understand someone saying that they wish to live until they are 70 years old as a minimum, but not to suggest that it would be their choice to die then. The effects of old age in respect of declining health would make it quite an ordeal to live to an extremely old age, although providing that their health continues then I would expect people to desire to keep on living indefinitely.
You may consider 70 years to be a good choice at the moment, but I wonder how you would feel about the situation while approaching your 70th birthday.

I think if you are fit and well, and in good spirits, sometime in the future would suffice. If you happen to be 70, then that may be 20 years away, which is a good thing. If you feel the same at 90, you are remarkable.

In essence my life ended about 10 years ago, so now I am in bonus time.

A rather amusing concept, although I am a little perplexed at the choice of passing your life force to an android phone as opposed to an android. I suppose one obvious benefit would be that as an android phone you install regular updates and improve your performance, whereas as humans our performance deteriorates as time progresses.

I don't want to die anytime soon. I would love to see all of my kids grow up, and then all of my grandchildren, and maybe even to see my great grand children, that would be grand.

There were times I wish I hadn't born because of my past experiences but I am grateful being alive...I can't state the exact age now.I know there are lots of things I can do while being alive.

I think 80 years would be pretty good. Even though life is stressful and sometimes I feel like I wouldn't feel bad if life ended right now, I think it would be best to experience all stages of life. Being a child, being a young woman, being a middle aged woman and then being an elderly woman. If by 80, I have great/grandchildren that would be a plus.

I agree that maybe 70 is a good age. I am 57 and disabled. I have gotten much worse since I was 40. I have a hard time getting around now, so I can imagine how I'll be by then. Also, I have to have my friends do stuff for me, and as we age they won't be able to do as much either.

I vote with dying at any advanced age at the moment when I feel tired and helpless or very ill. Life will have no use then. And I don't want to be a burden for anybody especially for my children. Or in other words I want to live as long as my spirit feels young and my body behaves accordingly.

I have no age in mind. Life is not about age but about to live. I would not like to live on 30 years of my life doing nothing, being not able to stand up out of chair or dress myself.

Hi friend
If i stay young for ever then i don't like to leave this life .If i am growing older then i think it is better for me to send around 65 -70 years because after 60+ i think our organs might become weaker and weaker and we must depend on others help in order to avoid all those problem i prefer 65 - 70 years.

You should see the big smile that you put on my face by your question. I'm way past 70. I'm 86 and still enjoy life. When I was 70, I started taking journalism classes at a junior college. I retired from teaching elelmentary school, but I continued to teach by substituting. I just retired from my substitute job a year ago. What made it great to continue working so long was that I continued to meet people while I was substituting. I made a lot of good friends who are twice as young as I am. I love it. through them, I got involvrd in facebook. I meet them for lunches. I'm in a whole new world now. I still have my friends that are in my age group, but I love living a life of two generations. As you can see, I'm on the computer. I write articles and poetry on different sites. There is so much to do. If I had more time, I would volunteer at an animal shelter. I understand what you are saying about dyeing at 70. That makes sense if a person has health problems, but there are many people who are my age who travel ,remarry, have a love life, etc. I think you can't pinpoint an age when you want to die, but if you are in terrible health or are very depressed, then I would set a date when I would want to die evrn if I don't havea choice in this matter unless I commited suicice. Does this make sense to you now?

There is a time and place for every thing I'm sure the day I was born the pattern for my life span was planned so I will go when God or nature decide at the moment I Am 3 years away from 70 and I still like to do some more living!

I have thought about this numerous times over the years. I would love to live to at least ninety as long as I was still able to take care of myself. I wouldn't want to be a burden on anyone. So if I can live another thirty-four to thirty-five I will be very happy. I just want to live long enough to see my three grandkids as grown adults. To see what they become and see them with their own families. That would be great.

I would say 77. The number 7 is my lucky number. I am one of seven children. I will have lived long enough, to see grandchild. I have already done a lot in my life. So, I would have to say that 77, is a good number. Hopeful, I will have done all that God wants, me to do.
roldango great topic
