Ever since I engaged to volunteering work, I cannot avoid of not walking from my house to town proper and vice versa. It is the routine for me and the rest of my co-volunteers used to have this form of exercise in our systems. The perfect way to stay healthy. How about you?

Hi Shavkat: I actually think that's a really good tip that could be useful for some people that just don't have time to go to the gym. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me because I work in an office so I don't usually have to walk too much so I have to be very careful about what I eat.

Though difficult you should also try to get in some exercise when you can. Our hearts will benefit from that as well as healthy eating.

Hi Shavkat, walking is a form of good and easy physical exercise. It's win win to do good deed and gain health at the same time. I like walking this physical activities as well when doing morning marketing in the nearby market. I enjoy watching people doing their respective activities at the front yards on the way to market. I relax myself in the cool and fresh air and keep healthy doing this all the time

I like walking. It makes me lose weight and it makes my body feel good to burn those fats!!!
I wish I could do that everyday. I really don't care if I get tired. I doubt it will make me tired walking to work because it actually gives us feel-good hormones when we exercise making us more energetic in the day.

That's a good exercise. I like walking. Matter of fact, I think my only recreational sports is hiking and mountain trekking with friends. It makes a big deal of a difference when you walk a considerable distance than to drive or take the lift, for example.
In my previous workplace, it is such a big organization that different departments are located at different levels of the building. And the building is huge. Instead of using the elevator, I use the staircase. I keep a pair of flat shoes in my filing cabinet so I don't have to injure myself walking in my heels. Some of my workmates even brought tennis shoes, lol!

I used to love to walk! I loved walking along and looking at the flowers, trees, the people, the children playing and laughing. Most people talk walking for granted.
With my arthritis, even with medication, I can't walk far anymore. In fact, I never know when it will get too painful and I can't take a chance on being blocks from home when I find I can't go on. So I walk around my house and yard. It's not as beneficial as a nice long walk but it's something. And yes, it is a very good way to stay in shape. Our bodies were built for walking and working.
I miss walking without thinking about it. I sometimes dream that I can run again and feel the wind in my hair, racing through a park along the river and listening to the birds. I doubt I'll ever do that again, neither will I be able to take a walk without thinking or arranging for a way to get back should my hip or knees fail.
People take walking for granted until they become limited or can't do it at all anymore. Appreciate the blessing of a sound body while you can and enjoy every moment you can move freely!

Walking is a wonderful way to stay healthy. Laziness and a neighbors dog who likes to bite prevents me from doing much walking. I have an exercise machine I sometimes use. It isn't enjoyable like walking, but it's better than nothing.

Working in the hospital is already the best exercise for me. Sometimes it is over exercise. I need to bend my back and flex my arms in lifting patients. I need to run in times of emergency. And let's not forget the endless nursing rounds where we walk. I reduced 2 kilograms so far.

I don't drive so I walk everywhere I go. I enjoy walking anyway. I believe, it's one of the best exercises. I walk more than 20 miles a week.

I am having to walk up and down my basement stairs because that is where my computer is and I am doing my income taxes. That is about all I can do as if I walk to far without sitting down my back starts to hurt.

I hate getting on transport, I have anxiety problems, and would rather walk, the walk into town is 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back and I love to walk, the fresh air and the exercise, rather than in a bus full of germs, being winter everyone is coughing and sneezing, very unhealthy, plus it's free to walk!

I think that it should be really part of our daily activities to have a healthier life. I also wanted to do the same everyday each morning but I fail to do so coz of house works. And of course, by the time I am done with all of it, the sun has already set so high that it could burn my skin.

hi,
as i have watched in the television last night those who eat a lot of food should need to have an exercise but this is not saying that we need to go in gym, because simple exercise is also good, like walking for 30 minutes or going down and up in the stares can be also an exercise.i always walk in the morning before i go to my work and aside from that i could save money.
