Today my father had bought me a two shirt and it's jean as an surprise. It was an quite unexpected one from him. I don't find those clothes fit for me. I don't mean that it is loose or something else. I don't know why it don't me and my mind. I just well good with the clothes when I select my own clothes. Anyway I have to adjust with it to make him happy. How do you do at such a situation ? Do you feel good or comfortable with such surprise clothes ? What should I do ? Well for me it really depends on two factors. Who bought the clothes for me and was I with them when the clothes got bought. You see if someone much older than me buy clothes, I would accept them but they are usually not my type. There is only a few times they get it right. It is just not my style but I would still wear them to show my appreciation. If it is someone of my age or a little bit older. Just a little bit older like a friend, brother or sister, I know more than likely that I feel comfortable in that type of clothes because they understand the style that I would really like. So I would feel extra happy for that. Lastly if I am with the person buying the clothes I could tell them what type of clothes I would like and if they bought clothes in that range of style then that would be wonderful. I hope I am not getting confusing. Couple months ago my mother bought me a couple of pants. The pants height and waist was perfect, but the legs were too big. I do not like big jeans and I told my mom that a thousand of times but she still go ahead a bought something in that range. Now I felt disappointed but I still wore them but not as often as my other pants. I do not like tight jeans either but I think they should be a little close fitted not dangling all over the place. So I told my mother I would let the tailor decrease the size of the leg of the pants so I would feel more comfortable in them. She said no. She thinks it looks great the way it is, but I think otherwise. She isn't the one wearing them, I am.

this is nice a father giving son clothes? You must be a spoiled little one... a pampered one. In my case, I have my sisters buying clothes for me, they are annoyed seeing me wearing same housedress over over again. I mean I love those house dresses for it is very comfortable. I love it when it is almost torn and good enough to be a rag. LOL. so she bought be some clothes (not for working) and said change it. ripped the clothes while I was wearing it so I have no choice but to change.

I never mean that i don't reject those dresses which he gave. Last day i had went with my family by wearing it. I love to wear it because it is my gift from my father. The thing is that it do not suits with the style of dress in my mind.

My mom buy my clothes most of the times. Maybe because she know's my taste when it comes to clothes and she knows my size as well. Sometimes she ask me the design, color and style that I want before she buy one for me. Well, my mom is coming home next week and I am sure she bought some clothes for me :)

I am glad to know that you have a pretty good mother who loves you and cases you a lot. Anyway i am quite sure that you will be well happy with such new clothes which appears similar ones in your mind. By father is well aware about the size but not well aware about the design and the colour. This is what i find in him. I don't mean that he fails to select good clothes at all the time but he succeed and keeps my face smiling.

When someone give clothes to me whose style I don't like, I just have the tailor re-style it and lo, I wear it. Anyway, i got it free.

Re-styling the clothes by making use of a tailors efforts is a great idea. My father had took actual size for me but still it looks little loose and i have to make it fit for my look.

I would feel grateful even if it is not my taste. I like the effort of your father. Not all fathers can do that for their child.

That is one of the simple reason i cannot tell him my things inside my mind. This really shows his care and love towards me and i don't have to put him in sadness with my activity.

I use to select my clothes on my own but whenever my parents use to get me something and if iit fits to me even if i don't like the colour our style i still accepts it just not to disappoint him. Afterall my parent would have chosen something for me after thinking that if will suit Me.

I wouldn't mind someone else buying some clothes for me. Although when my father buys clothes for me, he always buys things that are at least one size too small. I have to tell him that it's better to buy it bigger so that I can at least wear it. True, it may not be my style but it's a gift and is someone showing they love you so I will put it to good use (if it fits).

I don't mind so much depending on who the clothes are coming from. My parents or much older family and friends tend to buy me fashions for people in their age group. Maybe I'm not a teen anymore, but I'm also not old enough to dress like a 90 year old. Other than that, its free clothes! Who doesn't like free?

The clothes which you get may be free but how do you handle a situation when some one present you a cloth which you do not find pretty when you wear it. How do you handle ?

Honestly - no. I kind of cringe on clothes. I buy them only when I am confident I have sufficient monies. So if somebody goes about buying me clothes without so much as a word to me, then I have to compromise on what I desire, simply because of my self-discipline...and it does not please me much. I would rather they buy clothes for themselves, and leave me alone to buy for me. :)

I like to choose my own clothes too. I once asked someone to buy me a skirt at a local market, it was cheap and cheerful and just what I needed for housework. She came home with several skirts and matching tops. It was embarrassing because they were in her taste and not mine and she had underestimated my size! Fortunately she was able to return and get her money back. She is a generous friend and I did not want to upset her. I also dislike people buying me plants. I know this is off the subject of clothes but in some ways it is still a question about whether we like others to buy for us or to buy ourselves.

I think I would be too shy to say something about it and even feel bad about not wearing whatever clothes that was gifted to me. I would at least try to have it repaired to fit me better. But if its something that I totally think I would be mortified to be seen wearing, I will just wear it durin bedtime lol!

i think that is kind of nice for your father to buy you clothes, as for me i don't mind if someone buy me clothes as long as I like it, i am comfortable and it is what i want., but sometimes clothes that other people choose are usually based on their own taste or if they are close to us they would know or aware with our normal style and sizes, also it happens that there are times when jeans or shirts given to us could be loose or not really fit on us, if this is the case i would make some adjustments to it so i can wear it and i would be comfortable, like my mom give me second hand bell bottom jeans and i don't really feel this kind of jeans these days, for her she says it is ok or looks okay but for me it doesn't, i don't feel comfortable..i would prefer skinny jeans..so i just had it cut so i can wear it.,like a shorts or something..
