Instead most of the time, we get sad because of work. How many times you get praise from your employer? Well, for me other than work I always thought about my family, I do flexible job to spend some valuable time with my family, even one day when they are not with me especially my brother and parents, I will still choose flexible jobs, because only then I feel I am worth for it all. What about you? Do you work every day or you and me are just the same?

I am working everyday and at the same time spending time with my kids.
I use to work full time in office and that gives me hard time to spend with my kids so I decided to take some part time work that can compensate with our daily expenses- just enough as long as I can spend sometime with my growing kids.

hi there wongchoiyee,
when in terms of priority, there is no doubt about it since it is my family is on top of it. but for some reason, they are not my priority now. this may sound strange to anybody but i have my own reason behind. and what is more important to me now is to earn, earn and earn. that is why i am really working that much. i still loved my family and the fact that they are still my family. but they are not on top of my priority. instead, work and to earn more is my top priority.

I agree with you, I prefer to have a job with flexible time. In a flexible time, we can have more time for our family member. Now on, I am working in a very strict company with its timely manner in all job activities. It made me oppressed. I think we are more creative with flexible jobs. It is true that work is not the priority of everything. We still have many other things to take care, and we need to have time for our relationships. Now, I am collecting my remaining salary every month for opening my business. I plan to open a small shop in my hometown.

Being a freelancer I feel like I have to work everyday because otherwise there is no money. I've always researching, attending an, writing, going to workshops, or networking. I don't do what I do for money. I do it because I believe it makes a difference and it makes me happy. However, I believe that you must find a balance between your work life and your relationship life. I believe also that freelancing provides me with more options to combine work and relationship lives because he I can combine my interests with work easily as long as I can make it relate my topic, after three years of doing this professionally I'm pretty good at finding angles and make anything I want to cover it into my topic area, whenever that may be at the moment.

I have a stable job and the job tasks are flexible. In other people's eyes, my job is very good, but I still can not get too much fun from it. My co-workers are very nice, but as we have some profit distribution problems, we can not treat each other by heart.
While to the family members, I can share my happiness and sadness to them, and they will try their best to help me. So I try to make full use of my job, to spend more time with my family.

I also do flexible jobs so that I can look after my kids at home at the same time. I do get praises from my virtual employer and it really motivates me to do well. I'm really happy to be able to work from home cause I have time for my family.

It really depends. There are times when you get the feeling of fulfillment when you are able to overcome challenges of work. That can boost your self esteem and bring you further up. Yes, I do agree that work can sometimes be sad as it forces you to do work instead of doing other important and essential things in life. But I believe that there should be a balance to everything so a work-life balance is needed. One must know when to prioritize work and transform to being a workaholic during those times, and when to stop and leave all work and be the normal person and individual can be.

Yes, you are right. Despite our busy schedules at work we still should find time to spend quality time with our family. We are working to support our everyday needs but it does not mean that we should not weigh our time with work and family and mingling with friends.

Yes, I work every day and Yes, work is my priority. You are fortunate to have a choice, if I have i will not prioritize my work too. I just wonder if they are there then the purpose of having a regular job is defeated? anyway it is your choice. If you will be offered good job, big salary and great benefits will you be accepting it? Benefits includes, car with free gasoline allowance, medical benefits for you and your parents, free house near the work place. aren't you going to accept this.

Hi
yes spending quality time with family is important. But earning money is also important as well. yes when we dont get the recognition for our work we feel bad and disappointed too.
Flexible jobs are good if we dont have much requirement of money but for some especially who have children part time jobs may not be sufficient for earning. Here part time jobs are difficult to get

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i am glad to know that u give your family so much priority over your work and i m sure this will definitely work in your favor. There r many people who are made after money and power but in the process they loose out their family and it is their biggest loss. For me also work is not much important than my family.
What say?

Work at office or home should be very flexible for everybody!
We only think about the workmanship and strength of work in time, but not to wait for any praises at all from others like higher levels indeed!
Quality work should be taken out from our side....
Sometimes i wish to prefer to work at home whenever my beloved ones visits me....
I always intend to think about relaxation after finishing the work.
Everybody have rights to spend their valuable time at their locations leavings thoughts about works at all for the instance...

First of all, be happy you have a job. A lot of people are unemployed and they are still growing in number. I have a regular everyday job. But I'm okay with it because I love what I do. When you do something you love and when you are chasing after something you want, it doesn't feel like you are working at all. It's true that work is not the only aspect of our lives and there are a lot of things we need to devote ourselves into but if you do something you want, it won't stress you too much and will still allow you the energy to be able to do things with your family and spend time with them.

I cant afford to oppose your philosophy, but whenever i am in work, i am alright otherwise i feel bad health-wise. Sometimes i suffer from gas or acid or even heaviness, particularly when no task is with me. So whenever I dont have work, i do painting or photography or something creative related to art.
