I have no unused clothes. I have less and the ones I fit in I wear day after day, clean them and wear them again. I have some others I do not fit anymore (still hoping I will one day) I keep them for that day.. they are in between 5 and 10 years old. Some I did gave to my daughters, at a certain point (years) it comes back and I wear them again or one of the others will. people do give me clothes they do not wear. I see who can use what and give it away (in my own country or abroad).

I use to give my unwanted clothes and other things to charity when I was living in New York and New Mexico. Two different charities would come to the door to pick up my stuff that I no longer wanted or needed. Now that I live in Puerto Rico I can't find a place to donate my extra clothes too. So I give them to my neice if they fit she keeps them if not I hold on to them till I can find a place to give them away too.

good day pomwango,
with reference to your post, normally we bring our used clothes to charity institution to help and give a smile to those kids who do not have new clothes to wear. wherein, the used clothes we bringing there was not totally used. but those clothes which are totally used, we try to exchanged it with small wares and plastics.

We have bins here in parking lots sometimes that we can stuff the bags of old clothes into, and that is where I usually take mine. We gets calls now and then from various charities but I'm more comfortable just dropping them off in the bins when I have a full bag.

I don't have much clothes,But most of my cloths are old.I just wash an wear, till they are all torn up.I have to get some clothes, pretty soon. But my kids clothes, every time i give them to someone is really in need of kids clothes. Especially my daughters I gave alot of baby stuff away, because is growing really fast.
Where I live they don't trade clothes, they give them to others are charity.

We have donated our unused clothes to a community that's 4-hour drive away from our home. That community was struck by a devastating calamity and lost their homes, loved ones and their livelihood. It was the least thing we can do to help them.

We give away old clothes to charity, to fire victims and also to relatives. Our clothes are usually rundowns from my sister's kids which are still in very goo shape and quality.
It feels like to give some to those who are needy. I will have to take out of the clothes so that i can start sorting them.

I enjoy articles about recycling anything, especially clothes that one just tires of but seem never to wear out. We have Charity Shops in the UK and they are very popular and also make money for good causes. There are great bargains to pick up and all the clothes are washed and ironed before putting out for sale. It seems criminal to throw away a perfectly good dress or skirt because they no longer fit or are out of fashion. People who are small sizes seem to get the best bargains I have noticed.
These shops are also great for getting household items which have come to the shop as a result of a relative clearing the house of a deceased person. I have bought some lovely vases from these shops.
It must be especially rewarding to pass your children's outgrown clothes to needy children in home who do not have parents to provide for them.

We are always giving it to another poor family who needs it more. It's a very good feeling afterwards to give them something that helps them so much. Somehow they're money are for foods only and not for clothes and I know the feeling when you want to look at least clean for other people not to look at you with so much pity. So I'm glad to help these people in this way.
