Here we have a new library. It is very large and you can find many new books there. We enjoy reading and borrowing books from it. It is great that a child can borrow 10 books and an adult can borrow 15 books from this new library. This is why last time we went there and we borrowed nearly 40 books

You mean a public library? We don't have public library in our place so there's no possibility to borrow any books. When I was still in school I used to borrow 4 books every week. I bring it to my boarding house for me to read and study

Only cities here in our country have public library. We are living in a town so definitely we don't have any library around the town.

Hello my friend You Less. My town's library was in lovely looking historical building until quite recently. Then it got moved to the same location as the town hall. It is a huge library and I need to go there later this week to collect a book I have reserved. An adult is able to borrow up to 20 books. The fines can be a lot so I check which date they are due back again. I think a child can borrow 10 books. I borrowed some travel guide books on the destinations I plan to stop off at on our way to Ukraine. I love reading books and borrowing them is free unless they become overdue. There nearest library to me is off my local high street and there is also a library next to a large supermarket. They are both within walking distance.

I wouldn't barrow so many. I am afraid I would forget some and then you have to pay for them. Two or three is enough for me. I can read atleast that many.

In my country there are no limits. You can borrow as many books as you want. If you wanted to borrow 100 books you would be allowed to do that, but of course it wouldn't be possible to read that many books in one month I think that it is vey nice that there are no limits especially when we want to borrow books that we use in our education. Sometimes we don't read those books from the first page to last page, we only use certain chapters and some students borrow a lot of books related to their education. If we borrow novels it is a little differenr because we wouldn't have time to read that many novels during one month. Sometimes we can keep the books for 3 or 4 months, but it depends on the books. If other people have made a reservation we have to return the books after one month.

Really? Woah. 100 books and it would be possible to read that many in a month if you were really dedicated but wouldn't it get really chaotic if there is no limit?

As you said, 15 But how many books can I HANDLE (borrow from any old library to read at my leisure)? Well, depending on the 'depth' of each book (i.e. the amount of reading- and the amount of work-each inspires) and the amount of time I can have them checked-out, anywhere from one book to 'as many as I can carry!'

Trouble is finding the time to get through all those books, I am not sure about how long you are given to borrow the books, but we have 3 weeks, I struggle to get through one book in 3 weeks, let alone ten which adults are allowed. I used to read a lot until the internet came along and took up all my reading time.

That's wonderful ! What is the time period you can borrow them for? I would have trouble reading that many books. I'm lucky if I read two or three books a year. I spend way too much time online and I have all my household duties and gardening chores as well. I hope you get to read them all.

WOW... 40 books ?? .. over here, we can only borrow 3-books per person for 2-weeks... and we'll have pay penalties if we return the books later than the duedate - they have to be pretty strict - because some people just forget to return the books on time..

I have to say that it's been a while since I've borrowed a book from the library. I have borrowed some within the last year, but I can't say exactly when was the last time I actually did. It's been several months, for sure.

Wow that's a lot. At my old library a child could borrow three and adult four but at our new library I think it's eight. The new was it like a media library so there are films/tv shows/music/books extra. However the english book section is very limited as we live in France so there is a bigger French section. I don't really like the books in this library.

Really??? Great that you can borrow that much! I don;t know exactly if there are any limits on our local library on borrowing books. But I am sure we won't be allowed to take home 5 books. Maybe 3 is already a lot.

That is a good number of books allowed to be borrowed from your new library. In my campus library, the maximum books allowed is only seven books. While the number may not be that small, but sometimes I still find it insufficient as for each assignment I'm required to have at least twenty references. Sometimes I need to have maybe four or five books at one time for just one subjects. I really need a higher limit for the books I am allowed to borrow.

I like reading very much and I used to borrow books from library and still do it. Here we can take five books and four magazines at a time and the magazines are to be returned within a week and the books are to be returned in a month.

Library in my neighberhood canb only allow as to borrow 2 books for each as it does not have too much books in it. In Zhejiang Library, we can have 6 books for each. Next month, as I can have a work in the college, I can have 30 books to borrow. In most case, Only several pieces in a book is useful and I can not read all the books before I return them.

I don't borrow any more books than I can read during the three weeks' time before they are due. The library here has no limit but expects people to use common sense. After all, how many books can you read in three weeks?
