Mistake teach us lessons

Friends, when you make a new mistake for the first time, it is not really a mistake; but you have learned a valuable lesson. But if you keep making the same mistake over and over, it is a mistake no doubt, in fact a big mistake. A mistake simply means you have 'missed taking' a lesson that came your way, so please lament over your mistake. So just feel happy thinking that you learnt a lesson from it. We all do mistakes, we are human; there is none who never made any mistake I think. What about you, you don’t make any mistakes? What lesson you have learnt from your mistakes? Please respond, and comment. Thanks in advance. Professor Dr. B.Saraf. PhD. Cheers have a lucky day ahead. March 22nd 2013.

Mistakes are good to happen sometimes because you learn from your mistakes and that is a good thing to learn. But if you do the same mistake over and over and do not learn from your mistake. than that is a bad thing.

hi I was thinking of what we regret not having done that might have made our lives so much better. Maybe its just hindsight but I think back when my son was working for the most he ever made and yet he was not altogether happy. the small company w as overextending itself and soon thy made a cut in his wages or gave him the alternative to look for another job He told me about this and said he just hated the job searching but then I made a big mistake as I should have encouraged him to seek a better job as we both felt the company was shaky and sure enough three months or four later he was laid off.At the time when he mentioned looking for a better job jobs were plentiful but when he was laid off he just could not get another job as the economy had changed drastically., I feel bad that I did not tell him to really get another job right then. I made a bad mistake there.

In some instances you made the same mistakes because you already forgot you previous experience. Doing it many times is not anymore a mistake, it's your choice to commit mistakes.

hi professor, learn from it.. that is what mistakes are for. it is learning and correcting it as it comes. but when one keeps committing the same mistake over and over again it is no longer a mistake.. it is called stupidity or not being on focus. too bad the word seems toxic, but there is truth in it. have a great day. ann

Hi prof, you are right, mistakes are quite common to every one. As we know "To Err is human". No one is apart from doing mistakes. In our day to day life we are doing various mistakes with or without our knowledge. As you mentioned there is nothing wrong in doing mistakes, but we must learn lesson from our fault and rectify the mistakes in the future. If the person do the same mistake again and again, he never get the progress. Mistakes will give experience to us.

I completely agree. If you make a mistake, you should learn from it. If a lesson is learnt, it means that you won't repeat the same error again. But if you continue making the mistake again and again, you need to go in a little deeper and ask yourself, "What's going on?" Finding the answer to this question is the only solution in this case.

I have had made a lot of mistakes in my life. And I do think I am the problem child in the family. Well, it was mostly concerned with love with I should have avoided, but since I was young then, I was a bit hard-headed and still went on to what I thought was right. I had to learn everything the hard way.

I have made some big mistakes in life, but they are of different nature. After each big mistake i really learned my lesson and see to it that it will not happen again. We alll should learn from our mistakes. We should not justify for them, but just take it as it is that we committed a mistake.

A mistake is a lesson that every human being is given to learn from it.Some accept it and improve on it so as not to commit mistake of the same nature again. Some hide their mistake and try to be clever, others fall into this trap and fail in their life and missions. So accept our mistake, for we are all human beings and will make mistake. When we rectify our mistake we become successful individuals.

I have made a lot of mistakes. And I definitely learned a lot of lessons too from my mistakes. I'm not perfect. I needed guidance and still do even right now. We should be humble enough to admit that we commit mistakes and should really learn from them so that we all become mature and more responsible afterwards.

Yes, the first mistake is a lesson but the same mistake over and over is foolishness. Through our mistake, we should take a lesson that it is so painful, and do not make it again. But, if we cannot take a lesson from the mistake, it means we never use our brain to analysis our mistake to make improvement. I ever make a mistake by make lie to my employer about a job, turn out he knows that I have lied from my friend. He angry to me and he does not talk for 1 week because of the case. It is very painful for me. After that, I never lie about my job to him and I get more easiness, because I always honest to him.

You are so right a mistake is an opportunity to learn. One mistake is to go the wrong direction when traveling. In the end, when you find the right route you have learned something new. Or you may learn about a new desirable place to go. All by accident or mistake.

There is a quote about mistakes that I like: "Don't ever be afraid to admit you were wrong. It's like saying you're wiser today than you were yesterday" (Robert Henry) I think that quote is a good way to describe mistakes. If we make a mistake and learn something from the mistake we know more today than we did before we commited the mistake, and that is a positive thing, not a negative thing I have made many mistakes during my life and I think that I have learned something from all of them. That doesn't mean that I won't commit new mistakes in the future, I think it is a natural thing to commit mistakes when we experiment with new things. I am human and I can't avoid mistakes, but I am able to decide how I am going to deal with the mistakes, and I try to see them as a chance to learn something. The mistakes that I made at work have taught me to be more careful and through the mistakes I have become better at predicting the problems that could happen before they actually happen.

I don't make mistakes. I wonder why you keep calling it mistakes since you also say they are not really mistakes but life lessons. If it comes to you I agree. Mistakes are what others want you to believe they are. We make decisions at a certain moment. And at this moment we think it's the best thing for us to do.. or if we don't do it for us we try to please someone else and do what they (or society) wants us to do (if it comes to mistakes I think this is a big one since it's impossible to make other people happy or satisfied, no matter how hard you try they will never be). I learned to be me already at a very young age (12 years old) the worst thing for me was to lie to me, to be fake, to pretend. Something others (incl. my parents they were the worst) wanted me to be. I had to fight hard for my right, been beaten up, lost my family, my friends and build my own life. But I can only say it all was worth it. I am still proud I did that for me. There is nobody I need to say thanks to, I don't need to be gratefull. All I have and build I did do on my own. Nobody helped me. I am proud on me, the fact I am a survivor and nobody was able to take away my pride, my dignity and I never thought I was the bad "guy". This all didn't only help me but also my children. They are all (just like me) very creative, have a lot of self esteem and are able to live alone. They are not sheeps in the cattle, they don't feel the need to belong to a clique. They are great personalities and they will Always be.

I do agree. Mistakes aren't necessarily all bad things. They always teach us something... sometimes just life lessons like not everything goes smoothly always or that we can't get everything we want. But sometimes they make us think whether the road we are on is the right one, or if we should work harder or to pay more attention.
