If you could sit down with something or someone from your Past..

What would you say to it/them/her/him??? I was watching a cartoon about a cassette tape sitting in a chair with all the new technology sitting all around it saying.."and then we rewound with a pencil"..or tightened the end or beginning. Mine would have to be The Phone Company..letting them know The Princess Phone of the 60's would only be a fad and in the future we would be all walking around taking selfies on one. Well except for me

With me it would be people. There is so much I would like to ask my Grandad about his life and also my Great Grandma. If you have not heard she was a dancer/actress/vanishing lady and all of that you have not known me long! I have so much information I would like to check and I would really like to know how Great Grandma saw the suffragette movement and if she was a part of it as she says nothing political in her diary.

I think it would be my parents. Since I lost both at a young age. Just to tell them, even though things were rough I turned out ok (or so I think), and that the things they did teach me, I still value.

It would be my dad. I would have called and made amends and helped get the right diagnosis instead of him dying of pancreatic cancer because he was misdiagnosed as having stomach problems.

I'd probably want to talk to my paternal grandfather. He passed away when I was about 9, and I don't really remember saying "I love you", or many conversations with him. I do remember him visiting and such, and I probably did tell him I loved him and such, but I wish I could remember a conversation with him. If I could I'd want to sit down with him, talk to him, just spend more time with him.

Mom.... so much healing that she could help me with. I would be rotten and tell her that I was right about what my sister would do. Then I would tattle so she could tell me that she still loved me best. (I hate how so many forgot that she was my mom too- yep, I have issues. Don't say I didn't warn you) I would bring wonton soup and coffee. We would subject bounce and just be again. My step father... so could kick him in the b..... um no I mean... as..... no I meant shin... yep shin. I would like to deal with him and the mark he left on my life. Object? Pictures that were lost over the years..... my original copy of the Outsiders... A copy of the poem I wrote that got left with a teacher. Best I ever wrote.... Grandma's bread and butter pickles - if edible....

@TLChimes I love your answer..deep or not it is you and who you are and that is what i like about you..you always open up to me or others and tell it like it is..I wish more would do that so we can see the real in a person, not something sugar coated in a disguise..I am so sorry for what you have gone through..I can't change that but can be here for you when you need me..hugs dear one!

I would tell them all about the great new technology we have today. How small and awesome it really is. And I would love to go back with some of my devices to show them. I am sure people then would be blown away.

There are so many people from the past that I would love to sit down with and have a discussion with. Those people range from the first Gandhi, to Genghis Khan, to my grandmother. I imagine that not many of those discussions would be civil.

I'm taking liberties with your question. The people I choose are from the past, and in a way from MY past, but are not part of my lifetime's past. If that makes sense? I Would like to sit down with my ancestors, especially those who came from other countries. I'd love to know what their life was like before they left, during the journey, and what it was like when they first settled over here.

I would have to say the one person from my past I would really like to sit down with is my grandmother. She was my best friend, no one could replace her and her silly antics. I truly miss her so much. She was who I went to when I had a silly problem run threw my head she was the one that taught me all I know about crafts and arts and music. She was amazing in every which way and I was so proud to have taught her some things as well. It was funny that you made this post because not even a few days ago I got a box of some of her crafts that weren't finished and I am extremely excited to finish them up for her. I know that's what she would have wanted me to do.

You know I have been thinking about this lately that how nice it would have been if I could time travel and go back in early 2000s where I was in school enjoying my life to the most. I had grandmom back then(who papmpered and loved me so much that i felt there is nothing to worry about) and very less worries about life!
