This is a funny saying, but the meaning is more or less the same. My husband is not too bad, except the fact he always has headaches and nobody can find the reason.

I always knew this old saying as Red sky at night, sailor's delight, Red sky in morning, sailor's warning. I have also heard it with shepherd instead of sailor, but intrinsically the same.

I have heard the saying about sailor's delight, I believe it's the same meaning. This morning the sky was not red, not even pink, I hope the weather forecast is not wrong.

On never tires of taking pictures of the sun both when it rises and sets. I have loads of them but we hardly see such vibrant colours here except along the sea.

@Marcyaz I cordially invite you to my place(island in maldives) as this is the best place to see the sun the highest point here is 3 meters above the sea level they say that we will be underwater in the near future but the government is trying to insert empty barrels under the islands so that it will float toward Europe

hi@ladyduck thats a beaugtiful sun set we h ave them here too. its cooler now b ut nice as you just need a sweater but the nights are cold as this building has no heat at all but just space heaters we can borrow not i nsulated either as the building is 3 0 to 40 years old. nothing fancy after all we are just older to elderly and here in the USA elderly is not really cared about all that much . I have to l augh inside at people who think that they will never age lol lol lol

The sunsets are beautiful this time of the year, softer in a way than the summer ones which predict a very hot day to come. Now the weather is perfect. We also have the same saying, worded differently - 'red sky at night, shepherd's delight, red sky in the morning shepherd's warning.

I noticed that you come from Switzerland. Your country is famous because of its beautiful sightseeing. So it goes without saying that sunset is also beautiful there. I haven't been to Switzerland yet. Hopefully one day I can see all this natural beautiful views in person.

Our temps will be dropping about twenty degrees come sun-up tomorrow morning. During the night it will still be in the sixties, but tomorrow's high is only mid-fifties. Still warmer than normal for this time of year, but not quite as warm as the past several weeks. We have had a few days here and there with colder temps, but we've surely enjoyed this warmer Fall weather.
