The desire to step into a Photograph

I posted one of my favorite photos in the Cheer up Friday post where Marie @Tampa_girl7 made a very brilliant comment. "I would love to step into your photograph" Wow - how many times has someone take a photo of their travels and shared with us, a place we would love to visit ourselves, but circumstances dont ollow for the personal travel. That is why I love this site - we get to explore the world through the travels and lenses of other travelers . . . they bring the world to us. Thank you Marie for observing my beautiful photo of Mykonos and the sea that just beckons you nearer. I wish I could share more than my photos, I wish i could share the smells, the tastes and the vibe. But for now - just little desires of stepping into photographs is all that cyber space allows. Let us embrace all the beautiful travel photos we get to see and share. Another great Greek share is the Armenistis Lighthouse on the Island of Mykonos - one of the photos I love the most. in the far distance across the Tourlos Bay you see one of the other Greek Islands - Tinos and Syros

@inlemay I love Mykonos. I often wonder though about how many holiday photographs I appear in that other people have taken and are now showing to their friends back home in Japan, Mexico, South Africa or wherever. There is probably a photograph of each of us in every country in the world, but we just play the role of a random passer by in them all. Weird. I do hope my hair is looking respectable in them all.

@xFiacre they are annoying, and then when you ask them what the photo is of, they have no idea - that makes no sense to me, only take photos of what you are interested in , and then get more info

We are able to 'virtually' share many experiences here. Hopefully we'll all be more tolerant people through understanding other cultures and experiences a bit better.

Marie hit the nail on the head, didn't she? We can all imagine ourselves in the beautiful places we see in the photos here. This one is a great shot - next best thing to visiting Mykonos myself.

If I could step into a photography I would be in Key West right now. It's cold, the ground is frozen We wento to Milan yesterday and I got a cold and cough. I hate winter.

I love to travel, daddy was in the military and so was my husband. I don't get to very often now and love seeing and learning about other places. A great benefit of a site like this one.
