Those Tablet Pros and Cons

I am still debating between going for an android based tablet or an IOS based tablet. The more I look and compare? Yeah the more confused I become. I've asked friends for help, and one has been a good deal of help but then another is really making me run in circles. I know they mean well so I am not bothered by it. I think I'll end up going with the Apple IOS though as I am more familiar with it now and prefer it over android anyway. There will be pros and cons with any tablet, and I know that expandable storage really isn't an option with the Apple based tablets, but I still think it will end up working out for me. I won't make my final decision until I've done my W2 and get my taxes back. In the meantime I will be doing what I can to earn amazon gift cards as I will be purchasing the device via amazon and amazon prime. I'll be purchasing a warranty and a case no matter the device I choose. I've already got discussion going about the pros and cons of tablets and which one you would recommend. Howver, I do want to ask one thing. Is 64 GB overkill? I intend to use it as a gaming device a as well as streaming youtube videos and even mylotting.

@petatonicsca Okay. Thank you so much for the tip about turning it sideways. I may not have to but it's good to know either way. I haven't yet purchased any tablet yet, am waiting until I get my W2 (taxes) before I make any final purchases or decisions.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Much better than Bubblews. I was always losing posts. Also better than on Wordpress. In fact, since joining myLot yesterday, I have only used iPad and iPhone on it. Both were easy, though sometimes I had to turn them sideways for the "compose" icon to show.

You are definitely paying for the name with Apple. They are not cheap for sure. I don't like the android based system very much myself. I used to have android phone and an android tablet. Now I have an Iphone and am enjoying the Apple service.

@Bhaskarjhborah I don't make a lot of money but I can afford it with my taxes and online earnings. It will take a lot of hard work but I can slide by.

I am leaning more towards the Apple IOs. I don't really like the android operating system.

One con with the Apple I have to agree is there isn't an option to add more storage! Will you store a lot of pictures or videos on the iPad? Or primarily playing games, surfing the Internet and occasionally pictures/videos here and there? I know for my phone I have a 64gb and I have literally over 4,000 pictures, plus tons of apps/games, Youtube, Netflix, Hulu .. and a 64gb isn't enough. I am super sentimental with pictures (my sister sends me tons of my nephew and they're all in high resolution which takes up more space) .. so my phone has no room! But once it gets full, if you transfer to your computer it'll be good. But on the other hand, my boyfriend doesn't take any pictures (hardly) sometimes his niece would mess around with the cameras.. but he uses his iPad for game downloads, Youtube, internet searching and has the 16gb and it's fine. So does my dad. My mom however has the 128 gb! Lol and she has so much extra room. But overall, I'd stick with at least 32gb but preferably 64gb but thats me cause I like pictures lol.

I know I'll take pictures with it at first and then taper off. I just don't think 16gb or even 32 gb is going to be enough for me because of all the things I like to do, youtube, gaming. Netflix I'll watch on my xbox one like I always do. I'd rather spend extra now and have more room for space if needed than to have too little space for sure.

I have had an android tablet before as well as an android phone. I prefer apple but may go with android. I have to weigh my options a lot.
