Just a few days to the end of the month. How are you doing?

I've been here a few months and have had time to spot how people's behaviour tends to change at that 'time of the month'.
The first month when I was going to be be able to reach the payment threshold, the last few days were characterised by quite frenzied behaviour - people desperately and determinedly posting and commenting like their lives depended on it in an attempt to reach the $10 cash out target.
I then noticed in later months that if too many people already hit their target or - even more importantly - realised it was just about impossible so to do, that many just stop interacting and posting once they've realised that nothing they do will change their situation.
I'm had a tough week because I've not been online much but today I'm sitting here with 62 cents to go and two and a half days to do it which really ought to be feasible but only if there are people here posting and interacting.
It could be a close run thing.
How do you react when time's running out and you've not yet reached the monthly target?

Have you tried comparing? Since your posts are well acknowledged do you feel you earn more from them or through interaction?

@allknowing I did not, but one of my friend did and she discovered that she earns more writing less (2 discussions a day) and commenting more.

@boiboing Aftyer our experience with Bubblews I just publish and be damned without giving any heed to my bank account. Saying that I've just looked across the screen and that balance is $2.53 ahead of the threshold so maybe I'll get a night out tonight.

I just do the best i can here. I try not to stress it too much and keep things fun. =) I have noticed what you described here though. Some people just give up entirely and some get super busy here.

I actually don't change my behaviors, I keep on reading, commenting and posting to get those last few cents in, and help others reach theirs as well. Try hitting up the new user, mylot's Alex said the percentage of earning rate is a bit more there

This is exactly how I am. I come on, make comments and like posts. If something is on my mind I will write about it. The money is a second thought for me, just like on the other sight. I have a part time job which I get paid regularly for. This is for fun and the money will come when it does, I don't use it as a main source of income. Have a blessed day.

I don't have a monthly target here. It pays too little to think about the money, like I did on the BB site before their big demise.

@boiboing It is fun to aim at a target, even when it is money.

@elizabethWallace Part of me wishes I'd worked hard at the targets on BB. Here, I just drop by to say hello.

I just do it when I have the time. I don't really care about the bank. $10 is not going to make or break me.

Since I started here I have not received my pay out.It will be long before I reach 10$.I just post one or two topics a day then I read and interact with lotters. My behavior changes when I am notin the mood to write or when I am too tired. My earnings do not affect my mood.

I have only been here a bit over a month, I made payout last month and will this month. But I don't think my online myLot behavior changes.

@fshtiger58 How many hours a day do you spend on here and do you have certain hours you write?

@ramapo17 It varies each day, but probably a couple of hours some days more. I really am not a writer I like photography so I share that here and just tell about my pictures. I love reading other's posts and spend a lot of time doing that. I don't even post quite everyday.
