She trusted me

We were in touch in a forum and after a lot of interaction we got to know each other a little more. We had common interests - pets, gardening and most important of all she was interested in India.
We slowly took courage to exchange emails, sent pictures and that's it. She decides to meet me all the way from the UK.
I really do not know how she could have trusted me as all what she knew was my address and had seen a few digital photographs.
She came.

Come on!! What you think could have happened is universal not necessarily restricted only to India. I too read a lot of that online

That was a wonderful experience for you. Although we didn't go to stay with the people, we met up with a couple of online friends in Singapore five years ago and were all surprised at how well we got on. I do remember also, about twenty years or so ago, before the internet, I had quite a few snail mail penfriends and on two occasions they came and stayed at our place while touring NZ. I do think a lot of trust can be built up through online experiences.

The visit was indeed great, excepting there was unexpected thunder and lightning which stifled our plans somewhat.

This was a few years ago. We had a great time together. We are on FB and sometimes speak over the phone too.

@allknowing We must admit. It is really difficult to a find a friend in social networks. I am happy for you and her to meet half way as friends.
