Who is your oldest friend?

Yesterday I received a phone call from one of my oldest friends. We had always been in touch through social media though we didn't talk often. She was in another country for a number of years. We were the best of friends in school along with another girl who is completely out of touch now (Maybe we should track her!). Though we didn't speak often over the phone, there were no issues because of that (Both of us didn't change much over the years). I was so excited to hear her voice and realized she is still the same after all these years. The best part was, she had moved to my locality recently and we have made plans to meet for the weekend. We are very excited about it. Its absolutely great to catch up with old friends. I'm going to see her after nearly fifteen years. Who is your oldest friend? How did you meet him/her? I can imagine how excited you both must be. At the end of March many of my high school class are having a reunion and I'm looking forward to that.

@JudyEv From what you say, people still make time for their friends. Its a great achievement in such a busy world. Hope you have more wonderful reunions.

My oldest friend is also abroad. We've known each other for so long. I am a bit older than her because she was only a toddler when I started kindergarten.I have lots of old friends.I still keep in touch with my friends from kindergarten.

Thats great news! my oldest friend still in contact is a girl I met let say 15 years ago, and she is my best friend. My oldest friend on facebook is a guy I know since I was 14, but I get the idea his wife doesn't really like me, so we drifted apart. Though I love him like a brother, it's better not to cause him issues.

@Scindhia It's not exactly an online relationship, I met the guy in school. We were best friend until he got married. Then I just left him to it. The last time we went out for lunch (2hrs) his wife called 6 times, so that put an end of further meet ups

@Scindhia Yes we were. I can never forget those days - some days we had lunch at his house with his big joint family. And I had great Marathi dishes when even chappathi and poori were not common in Kerala. I think those memories are very special - siva

My oldest friend as far as I know is a girl from India, her name is Jagruti. . I know her since I was in my diploma and she loves me a lot. For me, she was my best friend and we always were in touch by phone when i was in India. Later she moved to another city ( Mumbai ) and I moved to another city for my Bacherlors degree and we kept in touch continoiusly. Later she got married and I moved out of India and we are in touch by social network .The time difference makes it difficult to talk . but somehow we are stil in touch with each other . We have a very good understanding and we share our daily life experiences when we are on chat or whatsapp, I´m sure we would be friends till the end and we will always be in touch no matter where we are.

I got in touch with a guy friend of mine from my school days. We were best friends and we lost touch as he has to move away after his father passed away fighting Cancer. It was really good talking to him after almost 17-18 years. He hasn't changed a bit... We are in contact now on facebook and chat often. I am also been trying to track one of my other best friend. She has been MIA since 2-3 years due to personal reasons. Hope I find her soon...
