A couple of days ago @simone10 posted a photo of her tulips, for the flower photo challenge. She has asked to show our flowers, this is the photo of the tulips that are blooming inside my home. This is the first year I plant tulips and I did not know what to expect. I have placed the vase with three bulbs on the kitchen windowsill two weeks ago. I took the photo on the left three days ago and the one on the right this morning. It is incredible how they have grown fast. They are not big flowers, but they have a silky look. The tulips are perennial. The next Autumn I will plant the bulbs in the garden, a couple of months before the frost to have tulips in bloom in early Spring. Do you have flowers blooming inside your house?

Your tulips are beautiful and growing so fast. The only blooming flower in the house is an orchid I bought for Anne for Valentine's Day.

@JamesHxstatic It's true, I had no flowers for the Valentine's Day but I did not expect to receive flowers, I know my husband from more than 40 years.

Snowdrops and crocuses - Piaxabay image
@enlightenedpsych2 When you left the comment it was still Tuesday, now it is Wednesday. Snowdrops are bulbous perennial plants in the family Amaryllidaceae. Here is a photo from Pixabay, mixed crocuses and snowdrops.

Spring is in the air
I do not have any flowers in the house and have not noticed many around recently either. However, there are definite signs that spring is in the air.

@enlightenedpsych2 Just a pity about the colour because it is a little too effeminate for me.

I don't have any inside my house. We go away too much and they would die. (We are going to Spain again for the whole of March). I don't like tulips.

It's the first time that I buy tulips, as they are yellow, they will look great planted near the hyacinths that are purple. The tulips will not stay inside for long time, I am moving them in the garden for the next season.

@hexeduser22 I suppose that she does not like the shape and may be the fact that they do not smell.

Your tulips are just lovely. We don't grow flowers in the house. We have lots of trees around and don't get a ton of sun through the windows.

Mine are blooming now don't tell them its winter, as I love looking at my pretty yard. Now I just need to spend more time weeding my yard. The rain has presented a lot of weeds more than usual.

@hexeduser22 wow really . How sweet of you . So aside from the tulips do you still treat her for a romantic dinner ? My daughter's boyfriend also gave her tulips last year . But this year i forgot to ask what and she too didn't tell us about it . Maybe because they are now busy with their duty as interns in the hospital .

@Bluedoll I usually plant sunflowers directly in the ground by the end of March, they are not too demanding, the last sunflower lasted until mid December.

I don't have any flowers blooming at my house, but I was surprised to see Indian Paintbrush on the trails last week. It usually (in my experience) comes up after the Indian Warrior has faded away.

I have had since moving here. When I lived more inland, my houseplants did not bloom. Now that I live 1/4 mile from the sea, and there is more moisture in the air, they bloom often.
