I can't believe that it is already 2016 and less people are using emails now but spammers are still rampant in our email inboxes. I want to know what are the most common spams you receive on a regular basis? In my case, I always have those scams that tell me that I wont huge amount of money. These spams usually came from Nigeria and they were telling me I win Millions of dollars and all I need to do is to give them the my Credit card and ATM pin. I also get a lot spams that I have to pay my dept or all of my bank accounts will be frozen. They wanted me to pay them with bitcoins. I am not a US citizen so it is weird I am getting emails from "American IRS" Eversince 1998 I had always been getting those love letter spams from non existent girls. They also spam me in message board private messages too. Years ago they tried to Spam Mylot but they got banned ASAP. These spammers are more active in emails now. I just cleared my spam folder. I received 500 emails.

The most common I receive are about some adult sites, I really don't know how I got those. They are a lot of trouble because I can't even block them, they always find a way to multiply and use another address to send.

Sometimes the websites where we registered sells our email information to spammers. So it is better to not use a our personal emails for registering.

@Lusye28 I never use my personal email to register and it is very free from spam. I only get transactions that matter.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I agree. I'm too lazy to check more than one email, but I have a friend, who has created one email account specifically for the purpose of registering and all the spam goes there.

I get fake tax emails. The emails claim to be from the Danish tax authorities. They are extremely easy to spot because they are written in English. Our official language is Danish and the Danish tax authorities never write emails or letters in English. I also get many emails from dating sites and love letters from beautiful "girls" who want to date me. I don't get that many Nigerian scam mails anymore, but I used to get a lot of them. The usual mails like people who want to share their inheritance with me or emails that tell that me I have won millions of dollars. If those emails were real I would have been a billionaire by now

I think those scammers were trying to scam Danes on the assumption they can pull it off because most internationally known Danish artist like Michael learns to rock, sings in English. People from my country may fell for that scam because my country's government write letters in English.

I just deleted 500 on my Inbox just by today. The number is overwhelming but It felt great that thee is a "delete all spam" option. I think they were persistent because there are actually some people who are moronic enough to fall for their tricks.

I heard that Nigerian scammers made millions of dollars from the spams they made. So there are some unfortunate people who fell for them.

@LadyDuck They felt the euphoric feeling of winning so they got easily manipulated by a fairy tale.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I cannot believe that someone can accept to send a thousand dollar to pay them the trip, hoping to receive million of dollars. People believe everything.

Spammers are spammers. I used to get those Nigerian emails in the past. But I think they are in inactive mood these days. Instead there are lots of other spammers such as winning lottery from Coca Cola and from UK. Such an unrealistic offers! Another thing is I am looking for the abroad job and I found out job spammer offering a job in UK and to accept the job I have to pay them charges. The fact is I cannot apply for such hotel jobs as per immigration law.

I think the Nigerian spammers are still active but they now hide under a new Nationality. Some of them say they were British while others say they were Americans.

I wonder if some people are still dumb enough to fall for their schemes that were as old as time.
