I Have a Confession to Share With You

I've sifted through quite a few posts in the week or so I've been on MyLot. A lot of interesting, day to day conversations about life in different parts of the world. It's awesome. The online environment is a fascinating place to learn about society from all walks of life, and MyLot's platform for people to do such a thing is admirable. But I must remain truthful, if there was no compensation for my interactions here on MyLot, I would be non-existent. So, would you sign up and interact on MyLot if it was free?

@Irishidid, thanks for the honesty. I hear about the way MyLot use to be. Is it better now? What changed?

@Cintronwriter There used to be categories but those are gone. Not sure if they intend to put them back or not.

@irishidid, I think that would be a good feature to include.

I have found this an interesting place to discuss ideas, but I doubt I would be here if there were no financial compensation.

@Cintronwriter tsu.co is supposed to be a social network that pays, but I don't see that much interaction on the site, it is mainly people posting their favourite pictures. I like the idea of earning a little for your thoughts.

The monetary value that I can have here is just a bonus. I have a regular job and it doesn't need to depend on having a high compensation here.

@Cintronwriter Yes. I think I am fine with an extra income.

@shavkat, a bonus is correct. At least there is compensation, right?

Yes I would - the money isn't enough to worry about. The only thing is I'd probably be on my own if they stopped paying!

@Cintronwriter I mean that no-one else would be here if it didn't pay, so I'd be talking to myself

I think I would still be here but not that often if there was not money reward.

@gudheart, true. The desire to earn now requires us to be on this site more. Do you think it becomes an addicting at some point?

The amount of money is negligible really for the time spent and it is more fun than FB, so I might write here just to stay in touch with friends I have known on other writing sites.

@Jameshxstatic, negligible seems to a recurring term regarding this site's metrics and the amount one can earn. The social interaction and relationship building is I find more valuable then the pennies earned.

I think that I would spend less time, but I would stay anyway because I like the interaction. I have made so many friends online.

@ladyduck, the incentive to make more by spending more time here is what gets us. Thanks for your honesty.

I'll be completely honest. If it wasn't paying when I signed up I probably wouldn't have signed up. Now I'm here, if it stops paying, I'll stay!! I really don't earn enough for the money to be an incentive.

@wordazza, thanks for your honesty. Do you participate in other sites that pay similar to MyLot?

@Cintronwriter I used to be on Bubblews, which was my first venture into any form of social media activity. I've never done Facebook or Twitter or anything like that. Even when the pay rates diminished to almost nothing on there I persevered purely to keep in contact with the many great people I'd met on there. Fortunately most of them are here now so it's quite a bit like old times

Well,, with the amazing environment here in myLot, I would still sign up for free. For it is where I can express everything I have in mind. This is such an awesome site to stay.
